The Rolohaun server is currently in the midst of a new speed printing challenge. This time, the object of choice is RBen Studio's Chubby Crocodile, which has some pretty aggressive overhangs and pushes your part cooling to its limit!
Find the model here: www.printables...
Join the Rolohaun server here: / discord
My personal print settings:
0.25LH, 0.5LW, 2 shells, 3 top/bottom layers, combined infill every other layer
250/300mm/s on first layer
400mm/s outer, 500mm/s inner/infill
20K acceleration across the board
100% cooling on Xol
Filament is Sparta3D ABS+ printed at 275C

The original model was made by RBen Studio, not LegoLars as the description originally stated. That has been fixed now, my bad!

Do you have different acceleration for outer walls ? I have been thinking about it but have no idea how to implement.
@mitsubishimakes

Orca slicer allows you to change acceleration based on the feature

@@mitsubishimakes that's it I am switching now! Thanks a lot for letting me know I am currently designing and printing a Prusa xl style machine but without tool changing hope to achieve 40-50k acceleration

@@Simon-dp2df Definitely have a look at Archetype too. I am going that route on my second trident

How much time do you think this would take in a Ender 3 at 50mm/s ?

Not sure, someone sliced one with stock bambu labs settings and it came out to be 1 hour 9 mins

sweet print 👌 what I'm curious about: is there a model / mod available for that printhead ((currently running a stock Stealthburner on my trident)) also what steppers / drivers are you running, they seem to be quite quiet (compared to the rattling 🤔 or is the rattling that lound and the sound turned down? )

Toolhead is the Xol toolhead with a Dragon UHF and Orbiter 2. Its a great toolhead, but honestly the 4010s are the limiting factor for its performance. I am running OMC-17HS19-2004S1-H motors, with 2209 drivers. The motors arent very loud, so I think the rattling and the shelf the printer was on creaking just overpowered the motor noise

@@mitsubishimakes thank you for the quick reply 👍 I guessl I'll have to look into smthg different then. I'm running a Phaetus Rapido II UHF + CW2 extruder with a single 5015 on the stealthburner (slightly elongated version to accomodate the UHF length), which is the limiting factor in my case. Either smthg with 2x5015 for parts cooling or I'll end up with that CPAP contraption... -.-

@@CommentingLikeASir Your parts would be a good fit for Mjolnir with a Sherpa Mini if you wanna go the dual 5015 route!

@@mitsubishimakes I have not heard of that before but you sure gave me an idea. I was fancying the Mantis 5015 + Sherpa Mini... or is it the same thing maybe? idk, I'll find out :D
@mitsubishimakes

@@CommentingLikeASir Not the same thing. Mjolnir has the fans underslung (so you have fewer losses through ducting), and is way more rigid. Its a great toolhead, I am running it on my second trident! docs.armchairheavyindustries.com/docs/components/ducts/mjolnir#overview

That acceleration is insane. Is the printbed adjusting for the wobble/vibrations?
@mitsubishimakes

Not sure what you mean. Everything on the Z axis is completely stock. The entire printer is shaking at these speeds, but as long as the entire printer is shaking it doesnt really impact print quality
