it's the way he always just played along with the stupid shit she said and her usual melodrama for me. like, blair would do drama for me most dumb thing but chuck would always be on her side validating her feelings and giving her all his attention.
When I got older I never noticed Chuck always had a crush on Blair. Even when she was with Nathan season 1, I think that’s why he was a womanizer and just shook his head later in the series when Nate cheated on Blair with Serena. He had a loyalty to his friend but was in love with Blair and used girls to forget her and be a douche but always had a soft spot for her
The only good thing on Gossip Girl. The show would have been nothing without these two and the writers should have treated them better especially towards the end of the series
