I can’t believe golden harvest relieved Don of his contract for this movie being bad. It wasn’t his fault.. I think he’s good in this. The movie was just shot terribly though. Half the fight scenes are in the dark. I wish they’d have kept Wong Tao .. he was awesome!
Wong and Norris did very good control ! Not easy to do! Chuck great for a NON Asian, his kicks and hands very well trained . Nice work by Wong also! Never seen this fight before!
Slaughter In San Francisco is a film Chuck Norris appeared in, early in his career, in which he played the Bad Guy. His fight at the end with Don Wong is a lot of fun to watch.
He was also a bad guy henchman with no lines in the 3rd Matt Helm secret agent film, THE WRECKING CREW (1969) starring Dean Martin. Dean Martin beat him and all the bad guys attacking him.
I am currently studying tang so do and chuck does it so beautifully here. It would be cool if chuck norris just dropped by my dojo one day out of nowhere to teach. Unlikely but a cool thought no the less:
The original title of this movie is Yellow Faced Tiger, originally to star Bruce Lee. But BL turned it down because he had disagreements with director Lo Wei about the script. BL went on to make Game Of Death. The shooting of Game Of Death was temporarily interrupted because he went on to star in Enter The Dragon. After Enter The Dragon, Game Of Death was never finished because Bruce died suddenly in 1973
@@dinsy512 its like im gonna get on the fountain then you come kick me and im gonna make it super dramatic plus we can film it in slow motion so that people in the future can laugh their asses off lol
Se nota la enorme diferencia estre esta pelea y la de Bruce Lee.. Nada que ver la una con la otra, aunque la secuencia de golpes de manos estuvo bien, otros movimientos se notaron muy irreales..!
@@dobermanguy9437 Look at my emojis it means having fun🤣 Anyone knows its a movie, anyone knows that but even in a movie havent seen Chuck get so much smashed🤣🤣🤣🤣
This was early in Norris' career, so he was still getting villain roles. Once he became a more established action star, he started getting more hero roles, which began the history of him winning everything on the big screen with his killer roundhouse kick.
After Chuck lost to Bruce and Wong I noticed he cut all his body hairs and started kicking asses in his future movies... I see he learned a lot from Bruce and Wong whipping his ass in fights 😂😂😂
The difference between Bruce Lee as the fight choreographer and others. Chuck was in his prime here though, his energy and his crisp techniques were spot on despite the lacking martial direction.
Kind of funny how people claim that these Chinese ACTOR martial artists would kill chuck... Lets be honest. In a real fight chuck would probably be a better striker than 90% of them, let alone his black belts in Judo and Machado BJJ. Not to discredit acting martial artists - something chuck is also in a sense, but we have to realise that chuck trained for fighting in multiple martial arts, and his point fighting skills definitely give him a timing advantage.
Man, look at how long those video edit shots are! Nowadays a clip is maybe one half of a second. You often cannot see what they are doing, the editing is so fast. But in this movie you can see everything!
There are some practical moves done by Chuck here. I once thought he only practiced karate. It appears likes to learn effectiveness rather than just TV and movie showy stuff and competition moves.
When Bruce Lee ask Chuck to make movies, he wanted to prove fighting martial artist can do it better because of accuracy. Chuck got obsessed about that idea ever since. The last best American fighting martial artist inspired by Bruce I'd say is Benny the Jet.
Wrong. Real fighters tend to look bad on film. Good looking dancers can make choreographed fights entertaining. And Bruce only wanted Chuck because Bruce wanted to look superior to a real champion on film.
@@junodonatus4906 Wrong, Samo has been into real gang fights, that's how he got this cut in his lip. Donny Yun is a San Da kick boxer and Jason Stathan also has kick boxing experience. Fighters are brawlers, they have very basic skills and rarely beats bigger opponents they only beat weaker fighter that's why they never get as popular as boxers. Top tier boxers don't care if your bigger, they beat their opponent with high level skill in the way of the fist and the popular ones look good while doing so without even becoming world champs. If your saying Bruce wanted to look good he wouldn't have gotten Chuck. They are close friends. Chuck has said Bruce hits exceptionally hard for just a street fighter.
@@Ming1975 Samo and Jackie are Peking Opera trained, not fighters. This is why they look good. So many Chinese martial artists that have no verifiable fight reord claim the same "gang trouble" with "multiple street fights" stuff. Its likely hype or tabloid style rumor. The reason Jackie and Samo look good on film is because they are trained entertainers and acrobats.
@@Ming1975 Bruce admitted to Chuck that he wanted to "Kill the champion." Clearly he knew the benefit of defeating a champion on film. That's why he wanted Chuck because, in truth, any number of untrained acrobats could have made Chucks part look much better.
The beginning of the fight wasn't actually bad, and @1:25 as well. And he did all his own stunts in here. He totally nailed the Marlboro man thing in here more than any other film.
There was a Chuck Norris movie from 2006 called Cutter it was really good there was a scene where he got beaten up bad and then got revenge at the end if you’ve never seen it check it out it’s good.
Best realistic Martial Art fight sequence ranked: 1) Jackie Chan self-defending 2) Jackie Chan attacking with a prop 3) Jackie Chan getting hit and falling from towers 4) Jackie Chan fighting 10 guys who are hitting him at the same time from all angles 5) Basically Jackie Chan Worst Martial Art fight sequence ranked: 1) Steven Seagal running 2) Steven Seagal doing bullshido 3) Steven Seagal dodging all bullets magically 4) Steven Seagal using body double for standing up 5) Steven Seagal delivering dialogues in death-bed accent ........ 100) Steven Seagal
Bruce Lee never was a really that good if he was how come he never fought in any tournaments he was just a good martial artist into movies yes I'm sure he could fight but he still never fought in the competition and that's what really matters Chuck Norris could have probably beat his ass
@@jonzwikk1582 The mafia, he goes into a bar and tries to get some information. One thing leads to another, a bar fight ensues and he loses. He put up a good fight though, worth a watch on RU-vid. Just type in, Code of Silence bar fight, and it will pop up. He also lost in Slaughter of San Francisco during the climactic duel at the end. He was the villain in that picture. And he lost his first fight with the villain in The Cutter, his final movie. Norris was never so proud as to refuse to take the fall. His characters frequently got hurt, and at times even lost. Though I’ll admit he phoned in a handful of performances in the 90s and early 00s where he basically put on God Mode for the role. I usually found those movies a bit boring. Based on the look on his face, so did he.
This movie was titled Yellow Face Tiger in Hong Kong and was supposed to star Bruce Lee Directed by Lo Wei but he declined and did his own thing Way Of The Dragon.
