The most heartbreaking thing in all of this is when Sarah told Casey that she was trained to withstand penthotal (truth serum). In their previous mission, Chuck asked her while under the hold of the truth serum "Our thing under the undercover thing, Is this ever going anywhere?" and she replied, "I'm sorry Chuck, no." which led to the reason why he wanted to break up because he had no idea Sarah was trained to withstand the truth serum. He thought Sarah had no feelings for him whatsoever but it's been clear for the past few episodes that she had something for him too. Sadly, she was expecting him to kiss her but he broke up with her instead. This show got me on the hook for years hahahaha also, the soundtrack of this show is top tier.
Yes, I love your comment. I'd say actually Sarah was into Chuck the 1st time they meet after he rescued the dad and the little girl recreating a fake dance stade in the store... And her love just kept growing from that moment...
I really thought that I would have this kind of situation that would happen in my life but it hasn't. This is one of my favorite scenes I rewatch this multiple times it's how every guy has to go through if it's real love or lust. He right he said "The person that I'm fooling is me." that's deep
she was waiting her the kiss and he is like i am breaking up with u ....being an agent she liked chuck but didnt want to say it and even denied her feelings saying its not possible to be in love with him she wanted chuck to make the first move she didnt want to think long term because she didnt know what her life had for him and chuck was all about that he wants to have someone in his life someone to be there to share his feelings of the day get married etc etc and she was scared about that...same stuff happens to her when her memory is wiped and she finds out she really got married had a life quit cia was aout to start a family that plus the old sara attitude with anger and being pissed that she was manipulated by quinn and he erased her memory she was cold and shut off from everyone denying her feelings even after feeling what she felt at the house after she remembered the name carved and seeing her videos that did have bit effect on her ...thanks to casey or else she wouldnt have had the closure
@@Thestoryverse_343 actually she's been trained to withstand the effects of the truth serum as a part of her training, so when she says no, it's not exactly the truth.
Easy! Sarah said they can't have anything together. So he decided to break up (their fake relationship) with her to start a real relationship with Lou. He said it in the next episode. Then the kiss Sarah planted on him make him change. I certainly have done the same in his case.
A few things, the directors gave Yvonne some shit direction when Chuck broke up with her, some shots she was smiling, some she was upset, like bruh pick one. 2. I couldnt break up with Yvonne/Sarah in a real or fake relationship, fuck that. She's perfect.
I believe the reason she was smiling was because she thought he was going to kiss her. Especially when he put his hands on her arms as if to lean in and kiss her. Her expression when it clicked what he had just said was perfect for a "spy that doesn`t fall in love".
A year later & in the most respectful way possible, I completely disagree with your assessment of the directors- direction in this scene with Sarah. I think it was absolutely 110% perfect & realistic. "Just pick one between smiling or being upset" ignores the entire story & context. She's a spy, who has true feelings for Chuck - that she (at this point) doesn't fully allow herself to accept due to her role as his CIA handler. In this scene he accidentally misleads her into letting her guard down & believing that this is the moment where he expresses his love and kisses her (as many other state, you can see in her eyes she is expecting and longing for the kiss). Then, he hits here out of leftfield with heartbreak. Heartbreak is a fucking devastating pain, her protective walls try to shoot up and cover what just happened but she just can't do it as well as normal. Sarah knows she can't show her true emotions in this moment due to her CIA responsibilitys, but you can see the sadness in her eyes - which are darting all over, then the poorly hidden 'fake cover smile' of trying to act like 'everything is okay' was the perfect choice. I know I've 'fake smiled' plenty of times when I'm actually devastated inside. Then her face just pulls a long look that made me see a 'just hold on untill he leaves to where I can let all this held up pain out' expression. Chucks obviously had his mind on Lou & his future at this point and all this goes completely over his head, but the signals were clear as day and Yvonne really captured the look of a broken heart. At least in my opinion. I can't disagree with your point 2 however haha.
2 years later and hopefully you've figured out how stupid as hell your comment was. She's smiling in some because she's trying hard to hide her pain. It really wasn't as complicated as you made it out to be. Hopefully you've hit puberty these past 2 years.
