Ronald Cox I just watched it for the first time and yes a movie is needed. I think either she regained her memory after the kiss or she didn’t but the love was so great that she felt it anyway and they got to fall in love again. But a movie where they have a kid and the house and face new spy missions is needed
@@jesseleary5896 it didn't matter if she didn't gain the memories although she might have remembered chuck and more of her feelings for him...she definitely had feelings but she had bottled up because she was just like the sarah before she met chuck she was mourning angry and shutt herself out but at the end when she trusts chuck when he says thay he will be always be there no matter where she goes or does and she can always talk to him whike telling the significance of the place she opens up her heart to find out the woman she eventually became (which she was avoiding before as she was trying to act strong ) she found herself at the beach even after leaving and was still in the city which she realizes she had feelings for him and whenever he was around she could remember something..when she listens to their story she is much more calm and relaxed and laughs and cries since she realizss how she fell in love with him and she made a life for herself which she always desired but thought could not have ....at the end when she immediately asks him to kiss on morgans idea she also exclaims a magical kiss (perhaps she remembered when she kissed him when he was about to loose his memory) she tells him to kiss him because she feel that loved again to be that woman once again to have those all moments again to feel whole again as she was completely feeling down and void...its the first time she laughs after her memory loss...she definitely has a sense of who she was and she wants to become her....
Ikr. But thinking about semantics, I wouldn’t say Casey went soft at all. I mean. But I bad guy in front of him. He’s still not hesitant to pull the trigger. I’d rather say he’s grown. He’s a soldier turned spy. But he’s always been the good guy. An honerable man making sure he’s fighting for the right side. And meeting Chuck and Morgan. Showed him something to fight for. To protect rather than fight against. And doing good means more than just taking out the bad guys.
Love chuck but man that ending this is one of the few times i actually wanted the typical happy ending cause motherfucker went through so much. The level of feels is intense.
Actually it is a happy ending. They get to start their relationship without a mission. It was a clean slate start for them so they could start with honesty rather then espionage.
On re-watching the very last scene, I am slightly more inclined to agree with you than I was when the show ended. SLIGHTLY. They still largely negated the central theme of the _entire show_. The show's overarching plot centred around the evolution of the relationship between the two. What they did was (from a narrative point of view, only) worse than killing her. If she died, that would suck, but the relationship would have come to a (bad) end. Instead, they erased most of the evolution of 5 years. The only thing they could have done more to undermine that would have been: "The whole thing was a dream."
Yeah, but thing is, Sarah was never that cold blooded, not even in first season. She was distant to Chuck, but she was warm, caring and good natured right from the pilot episode. But this episode was sooo good for Yvonne. There are multiple scenes like this and when Chuck tries to make her remember where Yvonne doesn't say a word but her body language and facial expression say pretty much everything you need to know what's going on in Sarah's head.
@@njmfff she wasn't cold blooded yes but it was her mission to protect him because she knew that he was bryce friend and all and at this moment everything she had was blurred out she cried watching because she felt the connection but couldn't remember it only that she carved the name on the house but still she couldn't stop going to see him and she lied to him that she didn't have feelings ...she came to meet him then left then came back yet again to try to get to know him we see her trying to go around in the base and says she will dissappear forever and then she has that talk with chuck in which he tells her that he never killed because that how she liked it... at the end she tells that she needs some time alone to think because definitely she starts to feel something for him but she is reluctant to understand because she is thinking too hard but at the end she doesn't leave burbank and finds herself at the beach which is yet significant to both of the even realized that whenever she was around chuck and went out with him on misson some part of her memory did come back but she wanted to ignore that and was trying to be distant nd not listen to chuck because she thought she didn't deserve the love (thats how s1 sarah was reluctant she had feelings but was scared to tell to chuck ) at this point she is angry because that her life was destroyed but at the end when she finally understands that chuck might be the only person who really cares for her knowing who she was what she did and asked him about their story (she could have seen the pics videos of them but she asked him) so she starts trusting him and they bond over their memories hopefully helping her trigger at least some more of her memories if not all ( specially the memories shown in flashbacks) she is more like herself at the end feeling much more calm relaxed around him because that's the effect chuck had on her she rediscovers and understands those feelings she has for him and the luv & affection that couldn't let her leave the city at the end when she immediately tells chuck to kiss him that was the moment in which she decides to bond with him again with him being the only person who could help her as he knew so much about her that no one ever knew which is every powerful...she could have taken her time to do that but she starts believing in herself and chuck that they really had something special that led her to start a life which she ever dreamt of but thought was never possible for a girl like her

Everytime I watch the last few episodes of this season I remember Sarah when she said "I love you Chuck, and nothing is ever going to change that", then I die a little inside.
She did love him still she couldn't define her feelings because her memory was gone ...she acted angry and cold because what had happened to her and what she was going to do to someone she geniunely cared about after looking at the video tape of herself so she felt to stay away from him because she couldn't even recognize herself that she was going to kill him she comes back again to castle after leaving when she could have gone anywhere just. Know more but then acted as she is gonna dissappear forever after quinn is dead at the end she changes her mind though as she tells he needs some time alone to think and find herself again instead of asking chuck for help but is unable to leave the city and yet again finds herself to a place familiar to both of them . Chuck tells this was the same place she told him to trust her and that he will always be there for her to talk to her to help her out no matter what she does thats when she decides to let him in and open up to her because sarah was always secretive about her feelings and past it was chuck who opened her up to the world and he does it yet again here.... after she asks him their story (which she could have learned from anywhere given her skill set) sh3 is much more relaxed calm composed and lively than ever she has been in last few days.. hopefully it did trigger some of her memories in bits and pieces like the events shown as flashbacks she realizes he knows her much better and cares for her decided right away to tell chuck to kiss him even though she could have taken time on Morgan's idea because she really wanted to have those memories because she lost too much but decides to bond with chuck since her memories did trigger whenever he was around
This is why I hated the ending so much. Sarah's memory wipe was completely unnecessary. They practically erased five years of character development, not only between Chuck and Sarah, but between Sarah and pretty much everyone else. I mean, in season 1 Cassey could barely work with Sarah. He didn't trust her and he didn't like her all that much, but by the events of season 5 he had no problem risking his own life for Sarah because they became good friends and he fully trust her. But yeah, let's erase that and make Cassey leave (somewhere) so they will never develop that friendship and trust again.
njmfff ..i know everything u just said i concur...diddo ..they ruined the whole series with Sarah 's memory wipe ...i will never forgive them for thAt.. Sarah 'n' chuck were 1 of the greatest paring 's in tv history..& it was all waisted ..by a fkd up ending...
jimothy 03 yes!!! This. She is giving him a shot again its basically an opportunity to start from the beginning again because if you want, that can be how they grow!
@@vector12yearsago41 She was slowly remembering bits and pieces about her life though. The memories were there, they just needed triggered. By giving Chuck a chance to tell their story, it opened the possibility for memories to return.
I honestly believe that Sarah remembers in the end. Her memory of Weinerlicious store in Berlin, the name of the pornstar virus, and the fact she went to the beach to where it all began. Her memories didn't disappear, they were just suppressed much like Chuck's intersect in other seasons. She was crying while reminiscing about her past relationship and marriage with Chuck. She never thought she could love someone in her profession, especially one who wasn't a spy like Chuck in the beginning. But I truly believe that Sarah remembered and they build their company Carmichael Industries that is for hire to combat cyber-terrorism. And live in that new house of theirs.
I just want to post a point here about the date of when she said this. The truth is I think that what she said in S03E13 "I fell for you long before [...] defusing bombs with computer viruses" that she is telling the truth, but she only gradually finds out how much she loves him and does not admit it to herself immediately. When being at her high school reunion she already says "you´d be surprised" to the question who could fall in love with a nerd like him (this is when fighting in the shower). She knows and feels this way here and in earlier scenes already, however, she "does not know what to do about it", as she has never loved a "normal guy" before and her job does not allow this kind of relationship anyway, especially not with an "asset", whom she is supposed to protect. She says it quite late I think, because she is now sure that she wants noone else, and finds it more and more difficult to fight and suppress her feelings. When Cole Barker tries to seduce her she can barely resists. She clearly longs for a sexual and emotional relationship, lacking both for a long time by season 2. She is also, as she indicates less busy with spy work these days and has not distraction of which she could talk about in her recording that day. So, she simply talks about what is on her mind and occupies her thoughts the most. Chuck. It is also a realization after having been through alot with him together, and because of him (as she is protecting him, working with him) but knows she can´t just go to him and tell him that without risk. It is a really beautiful scene and I think affirms her certainty of wanting to be with him. By the end of season 2 she has no doubts about him anymore. In season 3, some might argue she becomes unsure, but I think it is more her worries about him and the situation that cause her to be more distant, as well as Chuck´s decision. Another point that many people are bothered about is her telling Shaw her name "Sam". But I don´t think it is as big as it is, in fact it is a little bit dishonest really, as Shaw says she is not like a "Sarah", however, he wrong here. Sarah simply searches for emotional bonding (not having gotten it from Chuck) and tries to find a connection, ending in a desperate reveal to Shaw. But Sarah no matter, her real name, Sarah, Lisa, or Jenny, is none of these persons, she is Sarah. Sarah Walker, who is, without Chuck "nothing but a spy" (S04E09). As a spy, however, she gets to know Chuck, is cover together, and really together with Chuck and is the person with whom her man fell in love with. Thus, her actual and most important name, concerning her identity is "Sarah" and not "Sam". She reveals it to Shaw, also because she is emotionally wounded, which is because of Chuck, however, and it is not really emotionally linked to Shaw all that much. Yes, she finds him attractive, but as becomes clear she chooses Chuck over him. Just wanted to analyze these few points a bit :)
This was on my recommendations and when i saw this I knew that this was another show that I had to binge watch I order to fully understand the plot. Man this show was amazing 😭😭😭
Salmon Same here. I can’t rewatch the last 3 episodes. I tried si many times but it’s impossible so I prend like they don’t exist. Sometimes I even pretend like the whole S5 doesn’t exist at all. The wedding is the best ending
2009 or 2020, it’s still a wonderful series. I’ve watched the entire seasons collection 4 times since it ended. I know how it’s going to end but it does not matter. The series was very well written and the acting was great. We cannot go back but we can remember.
Oh man, that’s so compelling! I totally get you, I’ve seen the whole series four times too and I feel the same (we even have two copies of the whole series at home, just in case of an emergency we save one, haha) This last time I’ve just realized that they had great guest stars, don’t you think? 🤩
Amazing writing and acting. I don't know how many rewatches I'm on, but most of the time I stop before the last couple of episodes because I still feel like if I don't watch them it doesn't end
this scene is really gut wrenching especially when sarah said, i don't feel it. the look on chuck's face. his pain. he was like kicked in the gut, groin, face and back all at the same time. or probably even worse.
@@kicknowledgesmith8608because she was basically back to season 1 Sarah that still didn't want to admit she fell in love with not just essentially a stranger but a "mission"/asset, as well as the fact that she's likely still dealing with the whiplash of thinking he was evil.
@@ColombianThunder You can see in her “but” that she really didn’t want to say what she was about to say. She couldn’t even look up. She knew something was off from the very beginning. You can see it in the way she looks at the photo and hesitates every time she’s supposed to kill him. She didn’t understand it because she didn’t have the memories. But she understood it here. She was about to run because she believed the CIA was after her, but she still came back to see him. It was important to her that he knew she believed him. She also seemed to change what she was going to say. “Quinn took away my life and I have to… well I have to go find him”. She was planning on killing him but she didn’t want to tell Chuck that.
oh man, the steep decline in quality that happened over 2 seasons. I can't imagine how bad this show would have been had it continued for 5 more years.
Lets make the Chuck movie happen!!! I know Zack has been saying he is 100% ON board for a movie, but just needs more support. Lets make our demand know chucksters!! I know if we spread the word it will happen like Firefly, Veronica Mars and Arrested Development, its a new era where the fans can make it happen :D
Where is the Chuck movie at right now? Developement, talks, negotiations, legal concerns???? So much fans want it. Hopeful it will be a reality????????
Sarah: "Quinn took away my life and I have to go find him" Me: "And after 5 years, in one single blow, the writers took OUR Sarah away from us" 2021 and hoping for more "Mr & Mrs Bartowski" Cheers!
yvonne plays so good in this episode its amazing , in season 4 episode 9 she played the best , the emotions are crazy in this series ive never cared so much about a couple in a series
I would totally agree with you! When I watched the final episode, it's really a different Sarah. Amazing acting! But I'm sad it has to end that way! For sure, something is coming up for Chuck and Sarah, maybe start over again but damn its difficult thinking it would be in real life.
I know it's been years, but Yvonne in general was so amazing in this show. She did so much non-verbal acting, especially with her eyes... it was breath-taking and I don't remember any movie/series were she was given the same extent of spot-light to show her amazing acting range.
I know! They have to so we opt for another season, and years passed already and I hope there's another one in the making. Oh Please! I couldn't pray more harder! :D
Because the late 2000s was the middle of that story-telling fad 'Will they? Won't they?'... The thinking being that keeping things in flux, would stop the story from going stale by keeping the uncertainty and mystery going... Apparently 'happily married' wasn't interesting enough for writers (I dread to think how long they manage to keep relationships going for...). It's a running theme in almost every season with the high and low points in the Chuck and Sarah relationship. In season 1 there is the Chuck realising things with Sarah aren't real and wanting out to pursue Lou, followed by the "We're going to die" kiss... Season 2 had Sarah and Bryce & Chuck and Jill... Season 3 had Chuck leaving her for the spy life and Sarah and Shaw. Season 4 had them first go long-distance as Sarah was undercover for months in Volkov industries, but then peak at the wedding before she nearly dies. But each season their problems are resolved and end up better than before... Except for season 5 (the ending of which is universally hated).
I've probably commented this on every RU-vid clip of this show I've seen, but- By FAR the best love story TV ever gave us. Just magical. Yeah, fun spy action show, great comedy, all of that. But Chuck and Sarah as a love story is just fantastic.
Penetrates my heart every time! All their acting are just amazing, especially Yvonne's. She wets her eyes on demand, she gives such profound looks of happiness, awe, disbelief and anger every time she needs. Just like that, by the snap of a finger. I love you all forever. You changed my life for the better.
Watching this show made me go through a form of depression because I knew my love life would never be like this, and the characters are just so perfect and real, and in depth with their surroundings. I never wanted it to end. I got post Show trauma, and it lasted for about 2 weeks
@@le_tudo I wouldn't say it's great but it could have been worse. I don't think it's a matter of do they end up together or not. I think we all know the answer to this. the issue is will they be the same Chuck and Sarah we remember?! we spent a lot of time on the roller coaster with these characters for 5 seasons. People being angry is understandable. I get people saying it's up the viewer to decide if the kiss worked or not. I feel that is a cheap cop out. They deserved to get that house and start a family. we shouldn't have to make up our own vision of what happens. if they desperately needed her to lose her memories, They could have given 5 more minutes to have her say "my chuck" after the final kiss then roll credits, to let the viewers know she's the Sarah we remember. falling in love all over again with new memories robs the fans of their time.
I watched Chuck for the second time and this time I was in a way that I can't explain. I knew I would be sad again when I watched it, but I did. My heart is breaking, I find myself crying as I remember how Sarah was when she lost her memories. I think this time the series left me depressed. It doesn't get out of my head. She loved him so much and just forgot about everything.
They are saying possibly 2022, they did a reunion table read of chuck vs the beard episode. Levi is working on getting a movie going but ya know how it is.
When this show ended, I binge watched it for idk how much. Then here I am, 5 years later, crossed upon some video on youtube about chuck, and I started watching it again from the beginning. And it still breaks my heart everytime I watch season 5
Sarah was lying to Chuck, she DOES feel them but what she feels is the overwhelming sense of loss, it's clear as day by her reaction to what her past self is saying throughout the video logs. There is a lump in the throat moment because she knows its all true but can't remember...and being vulnerable scares Sarah, it always did, so she runs away, telling Chuck she doesn't feel it and he selflessly lets her go, knowing how her mind works and Sarah points her energy to the one thing about her predicament she can remember, that Quinn destroyed her life...later returning to Chuck as she always did. I'm glad the finale wasn't a cliche rom-com type of thing it wouldn't have left much meaning to the series or Chuck and Sarah as a couple... its all so powerful and layered
And if you watch this clip back to back with the scene from Chuck Versus Phase Three where she and Morgan discuss Chuck's proposal plan, her reaction to seeing herself she loves Chuck here, and her realization in the aforementioned scene, that she never told him she'd love him even without the intersect, are virtually identical.
This is my all time favorite TV show. I still watch the series at some point every year since it ended. I am not mad at the ending, but, I wish that it ended happily. I understand that the way they ended it leaves room for the chance that they found love again, but, they deserved to end with us knowing they were happy and together. Still the greatest show ever, great cast.
She tells that she doesn't feel it but is standing there in front of him subconsciously she still cares and wants to see if he is well she pauses when chuck asks why are u here and she says to apologise ...which given her reputation she wouldn't have if she didn't really feel it
Moments like these, where it’s just the person and the camera, would be among the hardest to do convincingly, I would imagine. There’s nothing to react to, no one to play off of, just you and the lines, and you have to make it believable. And Yvonne did amazing with it.
I'm watching this and no lie I started crying. I LOVE everything about this show. It makes me so sad that Sarah couldn't remember Chuck. I hope they make a movie.
Yea same but the more I thought about it I started to understand more. She didn’t completely lose her memories and feelings. It seems she was falling for him all over again and not sure how to deal with it. Her natural instinct is being a spy and running from feelings. Same thing we seen from her in seasons 1 and 2. She loved him from day 1. Not hard to repeat that. On the beach she’s laughing and crying and asked him to kiss her. This is the affect Chuck has on her. If they wanted to break them up they could have killed her off or killed him off
@@kicknowledgesmith8608yeah I think the problem people have is that it essentially erases the character and starts them back from square one, so all the development that's been made, all of the progress we have seen, is lost which feels very unsatisfying, even though I understand the emotional punch they were going for.
@@ColombianThunderI got a feeling after seeing numerous interviews with the writers / producers that the reason WB sanctioned a 5 th season was because they pitched the Sarah memory loss storyline which would be controversial . Everyone including the writers had initially thought that S4 would be the last .
Sarah says she doesn't feel it, but you can clearly see how it affected her when she said on the video that she loves Chuck. Also the way she glances back at Chuck, it is just her spy dynamic that pushes her to lie to Chuck and mission herself to find Quinn.
My heart physically hurt every time I watch this scene... it's so heartwrenching that I refuse to watch the last season. I just wanted a happy ending for these 2. Like I get that they can start their love story over again, but I wanted to see these 2 with their red door and white picket fence where they live happily ever after... AHHHHHH I don't know why I come back to this scene. I guess I like feeling pain.
You gotta look at the positive that shows up. She asks him to kiss her based on Morgan’s theory. It shows that her feelings are still there and she is willing to go back and make it work, starting their character development all over. Its beautifully cathartic.
@@Jakersen yup plus she was remembering things and falling for him again!! she fixed his tie on the mission, something she used to do a lot, that's a detail many gloss over!! she also was feeling him when they were dancing.
OMG this show!!!!! The actors really kill it in the entire series. I wasn't always a fan of Morgan, but he grew on me as the series progressed, But Ellie, the way she talks to Chuck, and looks at him, you can seriously feel how much love there is between the characters. The camera angles capture all of the facial emotions shown. It is just always on point. In this scene in particular, when Sarah is talking to Chuck, you can see how gutted his character is when she says "but" .
Its now 2021 soon to be 2022 and I miss this show so much I just finished watching every season of chuck once again I can't stop watching it chuck is my favorite TV series I was only 8 years old when this show ended now I'm 17 almost 18 I wish there were more story to Sarah and chuck I really want another season or a couple movies made and I really want Sarah to get her memories back and I want to see Sarah and chuck buy there dream home together and have a family
Here in 2020 I had to find a creative way to watch this series in Australia, it is criminally underrated and I can’t believe how few people know about it here. I’m not ok with the way this ended and I need a movie to see them get the happy ending they both deserve!!!
@@ErikLeber-td7oj Interesting. I thought she was honest about all she was saying. But she wanted to believe in what she had seen on the log. And she felt that if what she saw there was true she lost something important.
@@feelgood7Maybe. But I look at that she's just in denial about her feelings, just like all their previous conversations in the courtyard. She's trying to protect herself and Chuck emotionally. The twisted spy logic is making her think "OK, if I tell him I don't feel anything, if I die in the process of going after Quinn, maybe it won't affect him as much." Of course, it doesn't work that way. Plus, her reaction to the video logs, shows that she's horrified at the thought that she nearly killed the only person she's ever felt love from and towards. So there's likely some guilt present too, over having not believed Chuck about them. So I think she's also testing him to confirm for herself that he still loves her, despite everything.
This was my favorite episode of the entire show. So much happening that packed such an emotional punch. The weight of Sarah's realization that she never told Chuck that she loved him & wanted to be with him regardless of the intersect, made the emotional pay-off of her finding him, saving his mind & his life by easing those insecurities of not being good e enough by telling him she loved him NO matter what, feel that much more satisfying as an audience member watching weekly for 4 years, hoping the bubble show they it was doesn't get canceled. All for it to end the way that it did in the 5th Season all that much more of a tradgedy, TBH. 💯💯💯
A gut-wrenching two scenes. If you've seen the dvd extras, you know how hard a time she had filming these last couple of episodes. The full circle ending scene on the beach showed real tears. As difficult as they were to make, and watch, I think the final episodes were a master class in how to end a series.
This scene is so brutal, even all these years after I watched the whole show. You can just imagine all that they went through together, spending years falling in love and being there for one another. And Chuck, having to stand there and watch it all disappear.
The video log helped out much more than people think because y could tell she was getting her emotions back but she had to tell chuck goodbye until she killed Qunnie plus she still had the ring on and was never showed that she moved out and the ending on the beach show that she did in get her them back and fall in love with him all over again .
I agree she really could not understand what she felt because all she felt before she killed Qunnie was anger and darkness and hatred but it still should have never happen in the first place and I am sure you would agree I think it very wise for them not to show her take the ring off and also the whole scene where her memories were suppressed that whole scene was the most terrifying scene in the entire show and made me so sick to my stomach .I mean it was just a simple effect that cost about they said 5.00 to make those cards but still when Sarah is screaming OMG I was done .I will never watch that scene again ever .
Everything about this show just worked. Perfect characters and a good cast to complement them, great story line, comedy that actually made me laugh hard and no pc bullshit. Really takes me back, seen it like 3 times now,
Out of the many, many shows and movies I have watched, the scene in Chuck S5E12 in the house where they were fighting and she saw the doorframe, and 5x13 final scene are the only times I have ever cried at TV
@Onion Face I love the ending. It was a happy ending, but it definitely had some sadness in it. They end up together, but have to help her remember there love. It wasn't a disney princess movie, but it was definitely all good in the end.
Man, I hated that they robbed her memory in the final episodes. But I like to think in my head-canon that Sarah figured out (again) that Chuck was exactly the guy she had been looking for all her life. He was the guy with a big heart, deep morals, and utterly faithful. Every guy in her life, from her father to Bryce, were never going to be the people she could truly depend on when it came to trust, which is what she wanted more than anything. I think being told by yourself that you were in love, and seeing how the people around Chuck were changed by his earnestness, I feel that the ending left off on a note of hope that she'd stay. By the time Chuck finished telling their story, you could see she had gotten an emotional connection to him and their story, and even if she didn't remember it, she was finally keyed in and ready to open herself up to Chuck.
Exactly! It worked in a way that fans are mad but yet remembering what has been and believing what Chuck had said to let Sarah trust him, I felt it. But damn, I need another season oh please!
Yes so agree, its what Zac and Yvonne said as well. The perfect ending for the perfect show. I`m so happy there are fans who appreciate it. I cry every time I watch the ending, but it is the best all the same. @Onion Face
Personally I dont think it worked at all because they chose the worst villian and made Sarah act like a rookie out of the farm just so she would go along with Quinns shit
@Onion Face No, viewers didn't necessarily want that happy, fairy tale ending. For example, erasing CHUCK's memories (not Sarah's) and making him fall in love again for Sarah in the same setup would have been great.
If you want to understand the ending; you must first analyze the scene at the bunker 5x13. It sets up the beach scene perfectly. Here are the clues: • Sarah is shown first (She stated earlier that she was going to disappear after the mission.) • Chuck is at the head of the table • Sarah is dressed up in a skirt and heals wearing power colors - Sarah wants Chuck's attention. • Sarah is not wearing her wedding ring • Sarah protects Chuck by taking the blame for the team breaking up • Sarah says I need to find myself and trades glances with Chuck • Casey also responded to Sarah’s statement with a glance • Sarah witnesses the exchange between Chuck and Casey • Casey, an extreme version of Sarah, is hugging Chuck • Sarah glances at Chuck to witness Chuck’s response to Casey • Casey grabs Sarah's handshake with both hands capturing Sarah’s attention. He quickly rolls his eyes to Chuck, then looks back at Sarah and winks (Chuck is unaware to what just happened) My brief interpretation: • Sarah is saying: Chuck, I see you and I now understand why I married you. I’m still not feeling it but I know if I let go of you I will lose something special. Please don’t give up on me. I will fight to try to come back to you. I need time. • Casey is saying (non-verbally): Sarah move forward with Chuck's help. Note: Casey has a pattern of talking to Sarah privately on Chuck's behalf. Remember Sarah's original problems were she had trust issues and a closed heart. Now, watch the ending and it will all make sense. Sarah let down her guard and has started to feel the love.
What a freaking GREAT show! Not gonna lie I felt some kind of way watching it all come to an end! Zach and Yvonne had great chemistry! This show will be missed! Side note... Yvonne = goddess! Just saying!
He was. He always asked if she compromised her situation and said you have feelings for him. When she tried to defend her actions about saving chuck but not shooting when he could have been shot instead. Casey didn’t say a word. Just cleaned his gun. When he was supposed to find them even told to kill them he helped them instead. He told Sarah he killed the mole. He always came to their rescue. He was their protector. Maybe it shows at his fake funeral. They said it was sad Casey had no real friends before chuck. Sarah also said that about Chuck too. Only Burbank felt like home to her.
I know a lot of people hate the ending but personally I think it’s a perfectly poetic ending to a story about a man who never asked to be a hero but no matter the situation he always chose the what’s better for the greater good and not his own selfish reasons and he does it time and time again throughout the whole show
I'm scared to rewatch season 5. Scared of reaching those heartbreaking two episodes. Chuck's pain and sadness go right into your heart. After all they went through. 😭
