Beautiful stitch pattern. I suggest that in the future you have a dark background if using white yarn. Vice versa for dark yarns. Also, identify this as an intermediate pattern as some would not know how to make front and back post TR stitch.
Thanks Selena, and I appreciate the feedback. This was my first video. My newer videos do have more of a contrast because I agree with you. It makes it much easier to see. Happy crocheting!
@@HeathersCraftCorner Hi, Heather...can you direct me to any video showing how to create a border at the end? I'd like to make a blanket with this stitch. Thanx!
Can you make a video for rows 4 and 5 since they look different from rows 2 and 3. I keep messing up. I'm not sure what to look for. I am an advanced Crocheter, but i feel like a beginner with this technique. As I follow you I'm going good but where you cut off, the stitches look so different. I put it down for a few days and i just couldn't find my way.I frogged it.
Heather's Craft Corner worming is when the stitches are easily pulled out and stay out, looking like a “worm”-like loop on your blanket. I’ve been having this problem with “velvet” yarns
I haven't personally had that problem with the yarns I've used, but I don't use a lot of velvet-type yarns. The yarn in the video worked well for me. I haven't heard of that being a problem with my testers or those who have purchased the pattern, if that helps. :)
Heather I was wondering if I can add more rows to make the final length in the pattern. I have 4 rows left to make the 16 however it is not as long as it should be. I have estimated that when I complete 16 rows, the length will only be about 18” as opposed to the 23” that is indicated on the pattern instructions for length before the border rows. Any information will be greatly appreciated. Thank you
That would depend on the yarn and your tension. I would make it around 60" wide. It may pull together as you work the rows, but it would still be wide enough, especially with a border.
If your doing the 2 dc on each end, I would suggest around 94 stitches (98 if you crochet on the tighter side). If you're only doing one dc on each end, 92 (96 if you crochet on the tighter side). Hope that helps!
