Also Rylan is wearing Hyper X noise cancelling headphones. He cant hear a thing i say lmao the cheering and bantering is just to mess with EE since we sat right next to each other
@@Riskyboots-yi5rqdefinitely, I’m sure neither player was rattled by the crowd here. My friend has played vs light before, and we had a big group cheering, after light beat my friend he told us all now we gotta cheer for him 😂 he’s a great sport
Light chose to play with ppl right behind him LMAO, he requested for this set to be played offstream even though it was for top 8. Besides the person cheering was being respectful and wasn't even being loud
That loud* tournaments get loud normally, especially for a low tier upsetting a top 10 player. Plus light is like the biggest showboat ever and usually benefits from crowd noise, i don't think him being cheered against for once is that bad lol
@@pvonsoosten i don't think so, having the same two phrases repeated in your ear for a whole set is like chinese water torture, crowd noise most people can tune out but this enters a weird coaching territory. not saying i'd like slam dunk on this persons face or anything, but i'd ask if they wouldn't mind keeping it down
Fun watching you as always! You worked so hard for this dub! You knew youd have to take your heavy tax and deliver 10 fold! I will gladly always hype you up against EE or anyone else during your sets 🤣🤣 Hope y'all enjoy the video! Im sorry for the bad angle. It was really crowded.
Thanks for filming, you did a good job. I'm a Light fan but I still enjoy both players' gameplay and I felt like I could see it all clearly. Had to mute your trash talk though lol that shit was top tier
Chunky, You are probably the biggest inspiration for lifelong veteran DK players like myself. I have spent years singing this characters praises across multiple Smash games and it's so good to see a player like you showcase DK's fullest potential!
1:56 " You should Full Hop Nair his shield again" lol Chunky's playstyle must be extremely stressful to be stone cold patient and stick to the plan of waiting for a player to overextend. Quite effective as not only did he take out DjDon's Steve, but he walled out Light and defeated BMP's Hero. What an incredible run.
Insane 3-0! Incredibly hype to watch unfold. That said... it seemed like quite the one-sided distraction for Light having to hear that constant chatter two feet behind his ear. His loss for not wearing headphones I guess lol
love hearing the support from the person filming. chunkykong is so studious with how he prepares for these matchups. always impressed to see how he adjusts to handle characters like fox, well deserved
I am DYING at “YOU SHOULD FULL HOP NAIR HIS SHIELD AGAIN” directed at Light. The most specific heckle I’ve ever heard. Man loves to full hop nair, what can I say?
I was rooting for you and looked forward to seeing what kind of victory you would achieve every time you participated in a tournament. I salute you for your perseverance and perseverance in the face of all odds and for making your dreams come true! From a Smash Bros. fan in Japan.
Ended up watching the Collision 2024 set (Light wins 3-2) to try and compare with this one, but I'm too lazy/dumb to figure out the key differences. He seemed to have just as much trouble with aerial Up-B reversal, whereas my initial thought was he would have gotten hit less by it. Maybe it was simply a difference in the confidence of his aggression, or (as mentioned in a different comment) maybe Chunky was better at scouting out the Light/Fox tactics. Regardless, interesting sets, and congrats to Chunky taking it at Momocon this time.
i like to think that chunky played as well this time except he found just a few more opening and rolled well with the momemtum. You can see by the third game Light was a bit torn. Maybe perhaps distraught that he was getting destroyed by dk of all characters. You could see that he wasn't going for as many conversions into upsmash as usual and tried instead to call chunky out with reads.
There are a lot of girls who will feign interest in a male-dominated activity for attention and/or to meet men. It is immediately obvious that the person recording this is not one of those girls.
1:12 for those who may not know, the reason everyone laughed is because when Light got ding donged, he looked back at EE’s camera like 🗿, then immediately locked back in. You can still go back and see it on his stream, it was hilarious
Must be so annoying to play against Chunky. All the top players who faced him said he demands respect. Dude just stands watching whilst the opponent does gymnastics, nobody wants it to be them.
Unfortunately I believe they are, upsets like this have happened many times before, he can do good with dk but at the end of the day it's just one trick/cheese stuff that will stop working after the players adapt.
@@LazyNinjass an example of what I am talking about was the period where skyjay was destroying everyone and then went back to preforming "worse" due to people figuring out the cheese/matchup. He didn't actually get worse it's just that people adapted, and since incin sucks he can't really do much about it. Same is true for DK so I don't expect anything else to happen here, ofc I'm not saying chunkykong is a bad player.
That's kinda the part that's bugging me ab the person. I don't mind the c'mon you got this, but literally saying the nair stuff and constant patience reminder is just a lil funky. Very poor spirit, but fire win
@smidgefilmsproducts be so very fr rn. 1.) CK can't hear me. 2.) The full hop nair on his shield again. Was for LIGHT LOL He kept getting punished for it. That's why I said that.
I want you to challenge some Smashtubers for Content just to so you can break them and see if they can take at least a game off of you. The Underdogs, Party Crashers, Sidequest and WildCard
Yessir, let's choose to win and not choose to lose. Maybe he could've won playing less campy but he will be doing what Light wants by approaching more than he did. I think it was a mix of Chunky grinding and Light being off his game. Hopefully we can see more games from them in the future regardless of the outcome.
