Hey I’ve got some really great news to share with you, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died on a cross and resurrected on the third day so you may all have eternal life. If you believe and repent of your sins and put your faith and trust in Him as you would a parachute jumping off a plane at 25000 feet up in the air, He will give you eternal life in heaven as a free gift and I promise you, He will ill change your life forever as He did mine. He is the ONLY way to heaven and He loves you all. Please think deeply about this with urgency because this is your eternal life and soul, you don’t know when you could die, meaning you could die at any moment, so please consider this with all your heart. If anyone tells you that Jesus isn’t the only way, they are lying to you and they don’t care about your future.
Fr! Unless you live where i do, as we don't have these bugs in my country that I'm aware of. I've never heard one or seen one in person, only on videos, and when i play Animal Crossing
These insects have a unique mating call that is specific to their species, allowing males and females to find each other even in the midst of a deafening chorus of cicada song.
I love cicadas! They're quite cute and harmless (they don't bite) plus the noises they make always evoke a feeling of nostalgia for me. Summer wouldn't be my favorite season without these little critters
That feeling of nostalgia part is on-point! Crazy how the cicadas where i live sound super similar to the ones in japan, so whenever there's that signature summer episode with the cicada call in the background, it always feels like home :)
This reminds me of my autism and processing disorders. I can't process speech but I can speak. I can't process light in my left eye but I still have sight. I have learned how to do everything differently because I was born uniquely autistically me. My world is always loud and painful. I can hear sounds from far away places and I see visual effects and have textured experiences with my senses. Also, cicadas are amazing and beautiful. I have seen them before when visiting relatives. My cousin was mowing the lawn and cicadas gathered onto the lawn mower and started making noises. I think they got confused and mistaken the mower for a mate because it was making the same sound. We felt bad for them and turned everything off until they left. It took a few days before everything got back to normal. It was a unique experience. Nature is amazing and beautiful. ❤️
I’m hearing one of these right now and I had to know what it is, and I wasn’t surprised when I got this result when looking up “the loudest bug in the world”.
I love these creatures! There's a few that live in the garden outside my house, the often sit on my windows and make those sounds. I'm comforted by it. 😅
@guineapiglady2841 lol not anymore but a child they looked gross, made loud noises, and would fly at me. That infamous SpongeBob episode didn't help lol
@@ninnghizhidda93 Give me maple syrup. I’m not asking as a Canadian. I need it to survive. I swear to god if people start attacking me for this. This is a joke, I feel like I have to put this every time I make one
I remember when I was lil cicadas would get stuck on my front porch some how and I would pick them up carefully it would still make loud sounds but it did not try to fly and one day I was bringing one down my stairs and when I looked at my hand it stuck a tube inside of me like a tiny straw💀
In need mexico our cicadas come out about once every seven years. When they do, there are so many they litter the walk ways and yards. The noise is astounding and unmistakable.
so you’re telling me a cicada waited 17 years to come out of the ground just for me to step on him one hour before he emerged from his shell lol.. i thought it was a shell but it had guts after and i was like “oh”
"Some wait 17 years to go through metamorphosis. And the stink bugs and the bed bugs are notorious." Finally got my answer to the Whizpops song. Always wondered what bug they were talking about.
The 13 year cicadas are starting to emerge here in middle Tennessee. I live in a heavily wooded area. In 2011, they were so loud, my ears were ringing as I unpacked the car from a road trip.
First one sounded like a human screaming in horror the other sounded like a roughed up motor going in and out of power. Thank God the ones we have here sound like an earpiercing whistle 🇨🇦 😂
Cicada has it worse they spend their whole lives in hibernation and when they actually get to do something they only have five or six weeks before dying
I love Cicadas. I remember the huge invasion of summer 2004, I was a kid then. I also witnessed the 2021 brood. Will be 14 more years before they return to the Midwest.
They are very gentle creatures & do not have the ability to bite nor sting. But if you want to look at one up close it’s best to wear some yard gloves so that they don’t get their razor sharp hooks in your skin literally. They have a claw on each of their feet, that will hook into your skin much like cat claws do. Their claws can tear your skin which is painful despite their small size. They will only tear your skin if you try to pull them off of your skin, so it is best to take a stick or some other rough textured object that they can cling to and put it in front of them while someone coaxes them to crawl onto the object and turn loose of your skin.
Cicadas are intriguing insects known for their exceptionally long life cycles, which can vary between 2 to 17 years depending on the species. These extended life cycles are believed to be an adaptation that helps them avoid predators and synchronize their emergence with certain environmental conditions. During their underground phase, cicada nymphs feed on the sap of tree roots, using their specialized piercing-sucking mouthparts. When they finally emerge as adults, they shed their exoskeletons, leaving behind the iconic exuviae or empty shells. Adult cicadas have large, membranous wings and are renowned for their loud and distinctive mating calls, produced by specialized sound-producing structures called tymbals. These calls can be so deafening that they can reach up to 120 decibels, rivaling the noise level of a chainsaw. Cicadas play a crucial role in various ecosystems, serving as a food source for many animals, and their periodic emergences have fascinated scientists and entomologists for centuries. Their unique life history and behavior continue to be subjects of study and admiration in the world of biology.
And the loudest species of cicada is the Australian Greengrocer (Cyclochila australasiae), and can have calls as loud as 150 decibels. I am so glad that I don't live there
