Lyrics:
Anyone who ever loved, could look at me
And know that I love you
Anyone who ever dreamed, could look at me
And know I dream of you
Knowing I love you so
Anyone who had a heart
Would take me in his arms and love me, too
Who? couldn't be another heart that hurt me,
Like you hurt me and be so untrue
What am I to do
Every time you go away, I always say
This time it's goodbye, dear
Loving you the way I do
I take you back, without you I'd die dear
Knowing I love you so
Anyone who had a heart
Would take me in his arms and love me, too
Who? couldn't be another heart that hurt me,
Like you hurt me and be so untrue
What am I to do
Knowing I love you so
Anyone who had a heart
Would take me in his arms and love me, too
Who? couldn't be another heart that hurt me,
Like you hurt me and be so untrue
Anyone who had a heart would love me too
Anyone who had a heart would surely take me in his arms and always love me
Why won't you

I fell in love with Cilla Black when I was a young boy. I had such a crush. I bought all her records and played them over and over again. When I was 15 My older sister took me to the Dolce Vitta nightclub in Newcastle to see her. I am 77 now and I still love her.

For all the mind-blowing/working-without-a-net brilliance of this live performance, I can't believe no on has commented on the fact that the man conducting the orchestra -- the one to whom she gives that incredibly understated curtsey at the end -- is none other than George Martin, himself, who discovered Ms. Black and who, in addition to producing the Beatles, at the time was her producer as well.

Per Wikipedia “Cilla Black, interviewed for that Great Performances telecast, expressed her awareness of Warwick's disenchantment: "It was a No. 1; Dionne was dead choked and she's never forgiven me to this day." It was in fact Burt Bacharach himself who backed Cilla to record this song for a British release, after Dionne Warwick had a hit in America with it.[24] "At one point it looked as if Shirley Bassey would record the song...but The Beatles producer George Martin suggested Cilla and I agreed immediately. It was late in 1963 and Liverpool was taking over popular music with some great songs and great people. There was an awareness that things would never be quite the same again-and Cilla Black was part of that." Bacharach went on to say: "The great thing about the British is that they've always 'got' my songs right away. They are also one of the most loyal audiences in the world. I think Cilla reflected that kind of ability. She understood the song and she had a kind of long-term stickability, which is so very hard to achieve in this business."

Yeah no one would ever have thought a woman like her so small would have such a commanding voice. Getting to those high notes without straining.

Wow. I'm blown away that I didn't know this was Cilla's song. This is hands down the single-most powerful rendition of this song I've ever heard. Amazing!

I'm always blown away by what an amazing singer Cilla was, her pitch, her breath control, her delivery always tip top. No Clever gizmos back then, you could either sing, or you were making the tea

This song actually pin points an era in my life. Young teen in the last couple.of years of high school. Discovering males, Twiggy, wearing mini skirts, huge, black eyelashes and makeup, friends and fun, great music, Beatles, Simon and Garfunkle, Cilla & Dusty Springfield, magical.

@@rebeccarambo2893This song was written by Bert Baccarat and available for any singer to record. Cilla had an outstanding voice and this was an amazing performance. Dionne was a terrific singer too. And my bubble's completely intact. I'm sure you had no intention of bursting anybody's bubble. Did you?

Same here, I had an old radio each night I would listen to. Wolfman Jack was my favorite dj.
