I would be so intimidated interviewing him not gonna lie. You can tell he's incredibly intelligent and deep but these morons just want to talk about snapchat and one direction with him. He must loathe Hollywood.
“DURRR ME SO RELATABLE DURRR GETT IT??? ITZ BECUZ HE’S ANTI-SOCIALLLLL, HOW RELLATTTABLLLEE DURRRRR HE’S A HERO 4 THA INTRAVERTS DURRRRR DESPITE EVERYONE NOT EXACTLY BEING THE SAME FUCKING CATEGORY OF INTROVERT THAT IS DURRRR”
@ARL CRT I mean, use some common sense. Is it more likely that he is committed to acting like an aloof jerk in interviews for some mysterious reason over a period of years, or that he just doesn't like doing interviews and press tours?
@@hawad.eliasu6914 **I should do that more often. Sometimes being too self aware or aware for others around you all the time generally, can be tiresome lol**
Trust me bruh! It's an introverted thing. I do this when the topic is not that much interesting to me but you still want to listen or keep on listening by being quiet. And maybe that's the closest I would ever be to Cillian cause the looks damn, i am too far behind.
@@RedPlaystationController He is a brilliant actor who is the lead role in the hit 'PEAKY BLINDERS'. All the series are on BBC iplayer and I would really recommend it if you don't mind gangsters, sex and violence. It's set in the 1920s as well by the way. If you can, go check it out!
@@Nwndw Here's for you: Gemini are anything but that. They're very talkative, they want to discover everything, they're like the child who can't stop asking questions. That's nor Cillian.
Cillian legitimately just cares about the acting I think. The most excited I’ve seen him get in interviews is when they bring up the acting technicalities
He's actually engaging in Oppenheimer interviews. That's kinda new to me. Well, the questions ain't some silly bs and those interviewer actually do great job
@@tutortle1820 Oppenheimer falls into the same category as Schindler's List where an interviewer trying for the low-hanging fruit-level of comedy would be just inappropriate, and where more introspective questions would be preferred. Like imagining trying to talk about Fifty Shades of Grey to Vera Farmiga on a The Boy in the Striped Pajamas interview LOL
that's what happen when the interviewer puts the spot light on themselves, being the "interviewer who asked the trendy question and got a cool answer" or maybe they're just that dumb.
The suffering in his eyes is both hilarious and a little sad. He looks very uncomfortable in some of these interviews, and with good reason too. That whole Christian Grey and Ramsey Bolton interview was a train wreck.
Cillian Murphy is way to good looking to play Ramsey Bolton. And it was an incredibly rude question to ask. To literally tell someone they could play an ugly character perfectly. 😭.
What kind of questions are “what is your fave Snapchat filter?” Or “what is your most used emoji?” These interviewers break me. They have the opportunity to ask them anything and they waste time with that.
I've seen him do interviews where he's animated and engaged because, oh, I dunno, the interviewer was asking about *the work* I truly think that's all he's interested in. And what's wrong with that?
You’ve got to know who you’re interviewing though. Cillian isn’t the kind of guy to engage with questions like this. He’s serious about his craft. If you’re trying to ask “different” questions, this is a lazy approach and it clearly didn’t pay off here (not having a go)
She was rude to both of them, to Tom because she did indeed dismiss him for being younger, and to Cillian because he’s obviously older than her. But I’m not sure that she’s even aware enough to understand what she did.
He just seems to see through all the fakeness and toxic positivity of movie journalism. Bro just wants to do the job he loves and go home, youre right. Love him.
One of THE BEST press reactions ever. He was clearly in Peaky Blinders mode, just suffering through it, but the moment she disrespected Tom Holland, game over. And he shut her down the rest of that interview.
@@littleraeofsunshinehow does she disrespected tom holland? I haven't watch the whole interview so I don't know what's really going on in that interview
I actually like him in interviews. He is engaging when he is being asked questions that engage him, and is indifferent or spaced out otherwise. We treat actors (and artists in general) as if they are our toy monkeys. It's not enough that they create art, they have to entertain us everywhere else. The have to promote. They have to please us. They have to be likable. They have to fit our expectations. And if we feel like they are faking it, we get angry for them being fake. But if they act true to themselves and that happens to piss on our expectations, we call them on that too. It's like, all this guy ever wanted was to act. And he does it pretty damn well. He never signed up to be a people pleaser, why criticize him over that? I wish all actors did the same. They really don't owe us anything beyond doing a good job at playing their roles.
His posture in most of these vignettes says that he is bored, irritated and taking himself off to some other place that's more pleasing than having to answer inane questions about whether his arse is better than Jamie Dornan's or if he would like to play a bastard in GoT. Totally gratuitous treatment of a really fine actor. Crickets indeed.
HE WAS SO UNCOMFY OMG 😭 i cringed at That part cause she looks so creepy looking at him like that😭. Though i understand where she's coming from. I'd swoon fr him too
@@claytonbrown9898 I think so as well, but the interviewer clearly isn't good at having a comedic tone and good timing, nor did she have a friendly enough rappor with them to pull it off. Teasing the interviewee has been done well by people who know what they're doing.
Literally 70% of the population is like that. You’re just attracted to the way he looks and his maturity which is understandable since he’s 40 yo he’s not a spoiled first world brat.
Prince Surein I think that’s charitable; he’s objectively above-average looking, but women don’t prioritise physical appearance quite as much as men do, so it’s reasonable to surmise that his celebrity status subconsciously adds much more appeal. We’re animals, after all. Also, Ireland is a first-world country, so I’m not sure why you mentioned that.
@@princesurein7275 Well some physical aspects do play into it, but his personality is more appealing to me. If I saw him in real life as a normal person I would be attracted.
@@Floral_Green I'm sorry but you shouldn't assume things about people. Yes, he happens to be a celebrity, but he comes across as a mature and humble person which makes anyone more appealing regardless of status.
he isnt shy .. he is introverted .. he has a world of his own in his head , he isnt consumed by whats going on unlike the other stars . he doesnt need peoples validation and thats what makes him high value person and makes you respect him and deal with him with caution or else you will look stupid .. he doesnt drive self validation from his celeberity status of fame which most stars rely on .. and that makes him dangerously sexy ;)
Sometimes being an introvert is just being an introvert nothing special about it just like some extroverts so being special is none of them but it is something in your character
Cillian Murphy is both one of the most insanely gifted and exceptional actors working and also The Most(tm) relatable 'introvert in a world of extroverts' human I have ever seen.
I feel for him. Vapid conversation is difficult for introverts. Also, introverts need time to come up with replies and don't tend to be quick-witted. I've noticed in other interviews when he's left alone with time to talk about his acting or characters, he does just fine, and his sharing is deep. I'd so love to have a one-to-one conversation with him.
Avant- Garde actors are not introverts? ... How the fuck do you know mister Sherlock? If you are an introvert that doesn’t mean you can’t have social skills.
@@avant-garde3587 - Introverted and charming are not mutually exclusive. We introverts can be amazingly social and charming when we have to be. It just takes a lot of emotional effort especially with strangers. It's exhausting. So prefer not to be except with close friends and family.
WTF? Not at all, he is complete opposite. Thomas Shelby is always stern and grim, always acts like an aloof. But Cillian Murphy is just easily annoyed cause of his shyness.
I cringed really hard when that women listed off the roles he would be "perfect" for. Especially when she said he'd be a perfect Ramsey Bolton because and listed off what he looked like in the books...DAMN talk about insulting
Absolutely! What was she thinking? Cillian was gently reproving, with a hint of humor. (“ i’m not sure if that’s a compliment.“). Very mature of him. I have seen him in extended, thoughtful discussions online. He is an intelligent and reflective man who clearly hates having to go from TV show to TV show to promote the movies that he loves.
@@gatorfan3783 yeah i'm alarmed by just how terrible some of these interviewers are at their jobs I mean seriously wtf especially towards someone so thoughtful and introspective as Cillian!
Thanks for the likes and comments 🙏😎 and I really want to use this opportunity to specially appreciate you for the supports, hope to see your response soon 🙏
0:53 Tom: having conversations in interview.. Cillian: oh did I locked my home 🏠 or not, ah keys is with me sure I locked it.. wait..! What if I hadn’t locked it…
