The CIMA 1 is a kind of hybrid between the Ontario Rat 3 and the Rat 4. Most compare this knife to the Rat 3, but the blade thickness and the handle length/shape is equivalent to the Rat 4. Therefore, you have the perfect balance between the two, in a very well-made knife. I thought that I would review this knife against some of the popular options offered as bushcraft knives.
CIMA 1 is available via this link: www.gearbest.com/fixed-blades-...
The knives used for comparison are:
Condor Bushlore
Mora Heavy Duty
Mark Hill PNK2 (Pocket/Neck Knife) (available at www.markhillknives.com/)
I can recommend any knife purchases from the following UK distributors:
www.heinnie.com/
www.tamarackoutdoors.co.uk/
moonrakerknives.co.uk/
Wildcard for anyone interested in getting a relatively mid-to high level Bushcraft knife for a very cheap price can also investigate these following knives from China.
HX OUTDOORS Survival Straight Knife (D2 Steel) - www.gearbest.com/fixed-blades-...
TONIFE Ermine Knife (7Cr17Mov, equivalent to 440A) - www.gearbest.com/fixed-blades-...
I would just like to add a correction: the knife blade was purchased from Beneath The Stars leather works at the Bushcraft Show.
