It's 2023 and this STILL is not on Spotify! I need this on Spotify! I always catch myself singing these songs, and it sucks that I can't listen to them on my playlist 😭 I cannot describe how beautiful this movie is, and how beautiful Paolo's voice is. I loved the chemistry between them, this will forever be one of my favorite movies of all time 💙
I had this movie growing up and I still do! I’m not African American, I am Hispanic, but watching the movie growing up impacted me a lot! Idk what it was but I think it had something to do with Cinderella having more character and personality.
Brandy will always be my favorite musical Cinderella. I love the original animation, and the original live action musical. But Brandy gave the role of Cinderella something more, she gave us a more human version of Cinderella that we can all relate to and gave us a Cinderella that grew as a character and learned what she could do even without magic helping her in the end.
@@j.i.r608 There's a couple girls at the ball who are clearly mixed children, but they have little screen time and only one line together. I'm guessing you like how much like a live play that one looks like and how deeply and unironically it plays the fairy tale troupes straight as possible and runs with them. I've seen that commentary before.
@@TheNotverysocial You're partially correct. I do like that it closely resembles a live play, but what I most enjoy is that the characters carry themselves with elegance & class. Brandy's version doesn't have either of those in the least
Yeah, I prefer this one and the live-action 2015 one because Cinderella feels like a real person in them. She's not like...an exaggerated trope of a stock princess character (like Snow White or Princess Peach).
Yes, Whitney said before she died it was one of her biggest regrets they couldn’t get this released. Brandy label wanted her to go in a different direction/image and not be labeled as a “preteen/little girl”
I loved this movie as a child. It holds up. I love this version because it has one of the most diverse cast. Whoopie, Brandi, benedetti, and Whitney don't hurt either. Such nostalgia and casting was amazing rip Whitney.
The sweetest sounds, I'll ever hear Are still inside my head The kindest words I'll ever know Are waiting to be said The most entrancing sight of all Is yet for me to see.... And the dearest love in all the world Is waiting somewhere for me Is waiting somewhere.... Somewhere for me. The sweetest sounds I'll ever hear Are still inside my head The kindest words I'll ever know Are waiting to be said The most entrancing sight of all Is yet for me to see.... And the dearest love in all the world Is waiting somewhere for me Is waiting somewhere.... Somewhere for me. The sweetest sounds I'll ever hear (The sweetest sounds I'll ever hear) Are still inside my head The kindest words I'll ever know (The kindest words I'll ever know) Are waiting to be said The most, entrancing sight of all Is yet for me to see! (The most, entrancing sight of all Is yet for me to see!) And the dearest love in all the world Is waiting somewhere for me (waiting somewhere....) Is waiting somewhere Somewhere for me...
I love the latest Broadway musical of this show but this movie will always be the best because 1) the superb, mixed cast, 2) THIS SONG (the stage musical doesn't have it.....tsk tsk) 3) Whitney and Brandy singing together DUH!!!
This is only one of *three* such songs. The rest are... 2. Falling in Love with Love (originally from another stage play titled _The Boys from Syracuse_ instead) 3. There's Music in You (originally from a Mary Martin-starred movie titled _Main Street to Broadway_ in its place)
The sweetest sounds I'll ever hear, Are still inside my head! The kindest words I'll ever know, Are waiting to be said! The most entrancing sight of all, Is yet for me to see! And the dearest love in all the world, Is waiting somewhere for me, Is waiting somewhere, Somewhere for me! And the dearest love in all the world, Is waiting somewhere for me, Is waiting somewhere, Somewhere for me!
So it's kinda original? It's actually considered somewhat of a jukebox musical because this song among others were originally there own songs adapted for this musical, this song had been preformed by the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, Perry Como, Andy Williams and Peggy Lee. It has an amazing soundtrack, original in a unique sense but this musical is in my personal opinion one of the best adaptations of cinderella to date
My sister and I literally RU-vidd this movie and watched it while cooking 😂 we’re in our late 20’s and it brought back so many good childhood memories !!! Amazing cast !!
This song was originally written for "No Strings" a Broadway musical by Richard Rodgers, after Oscar Hammerstein died. Diahann Carroll and Richard Kiley starred in the show.
THE SWEETEST WORDS I WILL NEVER HEAR. ARE STILL INSIDE MY HEAD. THEY WILL NEVER BE IN MY HEART. IN MY HEAD THERE THEY WILL STAY. UNTIL SOMEONE SAYS THEM TO ME TO FILL AND FILL UP MY EMPTY HEART. ❤️💔❤️💔❤️💔❤️💔😔😪😔😪😔😪😔
This to me is perfect. I love No Strings but to me this it. The contemporary mix with the amazing bass guitar and the orchestral bits combine making this so beautiful.
The live action Is really heavily sad AND this Is a Dream full of hope also watching maleficent 2 i felt like watching an episode of game of thrones.... I miss Whitney Houston .. i miss the days were Disney did this tipe of feel good movies
Still enjoy this, but it somehow gives a different feel than watching the movie. About to rewatch for the second time this week to figure out what the difference is.
