I wish she had maintained this strength for the rest of the series. He needs to do his homework and find out the truth for himself instead of listening to others and jumping to idiotic conclusions. If he ever loved her at all he would have trusted her enough to ask her directly and get thi gs straight instead of doing what he did to her at their engagement party.

She had no self respect. After that spectacle he put her through, ridicule, throwing the rings away she designed for them, name calling in front of all those people, he would have never, ever had a chance with me again.
Yu Zhi didn't deserve another chance with Gao Jie after he humiliated her the way he did. It's bad enough she's had to fight alone in that company against Gao Hui and suffer humiliation after humiliation from that brat but then he broke up with her so publicly and in such a hurtful way. What happened to having a conversation with someone to find out why she never told him her relationship with his step mom, he jumped to conclusions but always wanted her to give him the benefit of the doubt and wholehearted trust. There would've been no second chance, she should've stuck with her guns. I felt Yu Zhi was used to getting what he wanted from his looks and charm but I didn't like how he and his cousin played up to Gao Hui and her mom. Even though there were moments where Yu Zhi did support Gao Ji, for me they weren't enough to make up for the disrespect he let her suffer throughout the series as pertains to Gao Hui and her mom.
He did her so dirty. Not only the wedding. But after. He humiliated, shamed and and constantly accused her of things. Hell even the things he said was uncalled for. He took his anger out on her in the most disrespectful way. She always would tell him the truth yet he didn't believe her. He didn't trust her. He took everyone elses word. Then when he found out the truth, he automatically thought him just saying sorry and asking for forgiveness was going to make everything right. I can see if it was a minor situation. But it was bigger. Because if you can't trust me how am i going to trust you. On top of his stupidity he let that rat of a women and "friend" degrade her on the highest level. Sorry and forgiveness isn't going to cut it. He did some serious damage.

Nobody deserves to be publicly criticized and humiliated like that. He’s a jerk and does not deserve her. But I think he is her muse. She can’t draw because of the public humiliation.

I like the way Gao Jie told Yu Zhi off about trust. She's giving him back what he had done and said to her everytime they met after the break up even by accident. And she's also right to say that blood is thicker than water and you can't choose your relatives.... so what's there to explain... Anyway he chose to believe in what other people tell him about her...
After what he did to her, he doesnt deserve a second chance... They said that you should leave pride out of tge door if you love someone.. But to me, its more of loving myself and preserving myself... Or maybe i'm just hardened... Lol
You dont understand where he's coming from. He gave so many chances for the girl to admit her relationship with his step mom but she refused to tell the truth. He could've understand her. But at least their separation made their love stronger, they learned to forgive and finally let go of some grudges from the past.

Exactly. He didn't believe her, and so he broke her heart and didn't care about her feelings and now, because he finds out the truth, suddenly he wants to hear her. I know people hate how "weak" the lead actress was for the male lead but we have to admire how she didn't play with the second leads feelings. She never gave him any hope that they could be more than friends and Co workers. It would have been so much easier for her if she had tried even knowing her heart was taken.
You're right she never led Sicheng on. She told him earlier that they can only be colleagues and friends and that's all. But he still didn't give up especially after Yu Zhi and Gao Jie broke up. He didn't do anything malicious or bad to both of them. On the other hand when Yu Zhi told gao hui the same thing... she wouldn't accept it but blame Gao Jie for trying to steal Yu Zhi from her then schemed and manupilated time and again (without success) of getting Yu Zhi by slandering, badmouthing framing, lying about Gao Jie. And she had the help and support from mummy and yu yi in doing those vicious and evil acts.
I'm not able to find this movie with the clips in the right order so I know I've miss big chunks of it. I'm wondering if he ever actually apologized for how he treated her and how he let the other designer treat her. Regardless, I don't believe he deserved to win her back. The other guy respected her and was so kind to her.

We must understand Yuzhie because of his bitterness on his step mother and gaozhie is affected. Anyway he realize his mistake and still never give up his love for Yuzhie. They are best Chemistry and also caring for yuzhie. Forgiveness is the best policy for a real happy ending if you are meant to be. You cannot run away or hide from someone you meant to be. God will alwsys finds a way to meet him until you come to a better understanding to be together again. Thats why the title of the drama is "NICE TO MEET U."
He never trusted her. He doubted her so many times. That's unfogivable. Once you can forgive, but not so many times! She deserve a better man. He acted like a childish kid so many times. He is not a matured man!
I refuse to blame the FL for the humiliation and scorn she received from the ML. Time and again she gave him her unending trust and love and helped the company and this is what she gets. Yes she should have told him her connection to her auntie BUT he really made it hard for her to confess knowing his hatred. He made it obvious and she didn't want to hurt him. She rarely got any help from him OR her aunt. Work was a battle ground with a mine field that she had to avoid by herself. Yeah so much for Mr. Trust Me. He should have seen Si Cheng's full confession. That would have pissed him off. Someone showing her true love and kindness. Lest we forget boy toy was used to going to bars and chatting up side chicks. Si Cheng is a 1 woman man. We need a few more of those. Like Jie told her friend, any guy that you have to watch out for 24/7 is not worth it.
She was such a wimp and pushover. There is no way in HELL I would have taken his punk ass back after what he did to me. Believing BS lies about me and then setting out to woo me and humiliate me...I don't think so. I would never look at him the same way again. I need a strong and kick-ass female lead, and she IS NOT it! She was weak thorough out the whole drama and I can't!!!!

She should off slap him in my opinion. Slap him so many times just like on how many times he embarrassed insulted her. I actually wish she didn't take him back at the end. I actually rather for her stay single and go abroad built a jewelry business with mom and dad too.
It's a standard practice of the writers to have the ML brow-beat, humiliate, abuse and blame the FL, and in this drama, publicly shame her at her wedding, before she she goes back to him to take more abuse for the rest of her sorry life. The writers love to romanticize and normalize violence against women in almost all of these dramas. This particular drama was a thorough waste of time; it was disgusting and offensive in its portrayal of these character. NOTHING in this should be called romance.
i hope in the actors' lines, it could have been made clear from the actress to the actor that she has once wanted to leave him because she didn't want to be stumble upon the revenge of her mother towards her sister and stepmom and most importantly, her aunt, who used to raised her and funded her education. but she eventually put up the courage to be with the guy and accepted his proposal but only to be humiliated and hurt by him over some misunderstanding... raising this would make the guy and audience really heart wrenching

I love to watch this series all the time. I love the chemistry between Gao Jie and Yu Zhi. The pull and pain is portrayed beautifully. In every respect this series is commendable.

Si, esa escena no me gusto para nada. Porque el solo le dice "ven" y ella agacha la cabeza y va como ovejita al deguello. Despues que el desgraciado la humillo de manera tan horrible en el dia de su compromiso y publicamente. Era para jamas volver con el o al menos obtener una disculpa publica asi como la humillo. El papel de ella fue muy debil. Me habria gustado que fuera mas fuerte y tuviera palabras mas severas que lo hicieran tambalear y ver lo mezquino y bajo que fue con ella.

What she said about his loss of trust in her was correct and now she’s lost trust in him as well. He didn’t believe her, humiliated her in the worst way and then expects a backflip in her feelings about what’s happened between them. In reality, their relationship is doomed as now neither can trust the other one.
I think I'd have also said - you've said enough to me already. Whatever you want to say, say it here in front of him. How very selfish of him, the ML, as to think of something just to get her away from another guy, jealousy !!!!! How lame, stupid, and low of him !!!!! He already heard her explanation; but chose not to believe her. Why come up with a lame question again - it was just to get her away from the 2nd ML & had to think if something to say to her so he wouldn't look so stupid. But he sunk to a new low - again !!!! Too bad she didn't agree to be with the 2nd ML down the road; after she had time to deal with her ex !!!!! When the ML said - I want to talk to you - I would of said " I'm busy right now; schedule an appointment next week" !!!!! He said - he believed her, choose to believe ever moment with her ... But he didn't !!!!!! So can you tell me - she's already told him; it was his choice not to believe in what she said, to believe her, believe in her !!!! That trust in him is long gone; never again !!!!! He doesn't deserve it at all !!!!! And than like other dramas ask the 2nd ML to help you, her, to disappear for awhile - let him ( ML ) suffer in the choice he made in hurting her greatly\ deeply and the humiliation he caused her !!!! Or even left for a long vacation where only the 2nd ML knew where she was !!!!!! Not for revenge; but to let him sit on his actions for a really long time; giving him a whole lot of distance and for him to realize what he did & to feel pain in his heart and what he did to her; what he put her through, and how she felt !!!! Only than could he possibly, slightly understand a glimpse of what he did to her; the person he supposedly loved and cared deeply for !!!! And maybe quite awhile later - accepted the 2nd leads love; having had time to end all feelings from the ML first. It'd serve him right, the ML. You can later forgive; but why put yourself through all the hurt, painful memories, all those feelings over & over again !!!!! If you weren't good enough the 1st time; than you won't be a 2nd, a 3rd, 4th, or so time !!! - Your self worth, pride, and you in just being you deserve so much more - more in a true love, in trust, happiness, security, respect, and faithfulness !!!!
