In 2020 and after months of lower back pain and irregular periods Cindy was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer and started aggressive chemotherapy. She is now “cancer free” but still on her healing journey. "I am so happy to be here and to be able to share my story with others in the hope that it will help another woman."
Cindy is encouraged when she gets to tell her story. She says "The C ain't killing this C", a mantra she shows even on air. She has been knocked into unbearable pain, got through treatments alone (due to COVID), she talks of that heartbreaking moment she revealed her news to her parents, and how she has found Frocktober to be a super important way to raise awareness to her community, thanks to her proffessional snapper (her dorts!)
