help please my text goes to an oultine everytime i try to use polyfx like this and the explosion looks like just a bunch of lines i followed every setep the correct way but it never works.;..
+DoubleHgaming off the top of my head, you are missing more cross sections, either horizontal or vertical slices...make sure the mesh is sliced evenly on all axis
Is there a way to have this great effect happen for some time, but then apply physics to the animation such that all the exploding particles complete their explosion in real time / fall to ground and such. I watched your tutorial on "bouncing off the ground" but that was sadly unsatisfactory for my desires.
Hi, that´s how a tutorial should be made, in my opinion; congrats. I´m neebie to cinema 4D, I´ve been working for years with Maya but I find it too freak and unestable. I need some time to understand the "architecture" of cinema 4D. My problem is: the text is rotating or following any directions from the time effector since the beginning of the animation. It does not "wait" until the random effect crosses over it along the animation. Any ideas? Thanks in advance, I did not expect so many questions here... I hope you´re not fed up yet with answering! everytime I apply the "Quadrangles" in Caps it doesn't change anything in my text :3 how it is impossible -_- I'm a beginner of this kind of software but I can't go further even though I'm only in basic parts -_-
As a beginner myself I think you're going too fast for one, and you are clicking on some things without actually saying what you are clicking on and why. O.o I watched this video like three times following along but didn't end up with what yours resulted in.

For me, when I put time effect, all text start flying like in the air, but not only details, like in yours. And also, my random effect start vice versa. Why?

quick question. I am using this with a more complex graphic and when I add the time effector some of my pieces seem to flash around. Any ideas on why that would happen?

I think I used the time effector same as this tutorial, but very low values, so the pieces move away very slowly...I then animated a camera attached to a circular spline path, and made it move faster than the particles to create that illusion..the camera moves across a small arc of the circle...does that help?
how are you showing the grids on your text when you do the subdivided? sorry im new to this, and i know this is an advanced tutorial. i love how quick you are. most people hate it, but i just pause the video and rewind. I hate long dragged out videos and im a fast learner. I just stumbled across this one and this is my first time trying c4d. also, can you guide me to more awesome videos?

Great tutorial! Is there a way to make the beginning of the random effect (like on your Q) have the pieces flying further off than your X by the end of the animation? In reality, the pieces of the Q would be flying further out than the X.
