This is Cinestill's newest black and white film stock, a repackaged 35mm and 120 Medium format roll of Kodak Eastman Double-X 5222/7222, resulting in "cinematic" image qualities.

Hey Brian! Andre from CineStill here. I really enjoyed the review and the images you created. The short clips from some of the movies shot on Eastman Kodak 5222 Double-X was a nice touch. Good luck with the move and keep up the great work!

Thanks for this review. Do you know if the anti-halation layer (remjet) is removed for the Bwxx as in the colour film? Does this have the softness around lights as well? Tx.

As far as I've read, BwXX does not contain a remjet layer. It does have characteristics of soft glowing highlights around lights, but not as pronounced as Cinestill 800T and 50D
