I have only one thing to told out here. We love drohne shadows, its the only way to prove that we are fliing what we are suppose to say. I love every drohne shadow in my videos cuz it shows some realness.
Great tips doing my first proper follow shots of a mountain biker going flat out and loving it, although I did crash my drone hard on the first couple of days. I find when you're flying in tight spaces its hard to focus on the subject and avoid all the shrubs around. Especially on analogue! Thanks dude.
@@tomstrojnik i am filming some nice cars. Oldtimer and something like that haha its a mix, just for fun on a short „vacation“ with my dad. He rented a racetrack with friends :)
Really a good job: epic footage, useful tips, nice balance between entertainment and education plus everything is well packed. keep up with the good stuff!
That's a great tutorial idea, will put it down on my to do list! Basically what I do is a fast approach to my subject - get as close as possible and use momentum to bounce yourself away.. you are using all of the stick.. but mostly you yaw & roll in the opposite direction (at the exact moment when you are the closest to your subject).. i hope it makes sense :)
Hey Tom, all good tips. I've found that sustained backwards flying with FPV, for me, is next to impossible. A quick circle movement is fairly simple but to come along side the vehicle and then transition to the front angle and flying backwards is very difficult for me. As I accelerate backwards the rear motors spin up the the quad always tilts up and you loose the subject in the frame. That's where I found the new DJI system with camera tilt capability would seems to compensate for this. I don't have that 'new' quad but wondered if you'd tried that side to front backwards tracking with the 'new' DJI FPV? Hope I've adequately explained the issue.
Thanks for watching.. Yeah flying backwards ane keeping your subject framed in the middle is super hard.. Maybe try to do it with a lower camera angle? Nope, I'm testing DJI FPV quad in the following days. Will do a video about it
@@tomstrojnik I've seen a few crashes with the new DJI FPV quad and the battery seems to come catapulting out! For a number of reason, that's very concerning. Also, battery life seems to be nowhere close to the figures DJI claims. Although, the 90mph speed is a tempting feature. But all the geo-fencing and restrictions seem to be a pain in the ass to me. I think I'll stick to my 5" quads and maybe invest in the Chimer 7" at some point.
Great vid man! You have any suggestion on equipment for following drift cars. Having trouble finding what would be best to get the best shots. Drone and goggles and controller even
1:57 Hello. I personally think that the shadow of the drone is very beautiful when it appears in the video, I like it very much, it is the signature of the drone, many times I saw a fpv footage following a car, and I wanted to see the shadow of the drone because I wanted to know what model of drone it is.
Great tips! I would love it if you would take a look at a few of mine and give any tips you could to help. I've only just started doing chasing and I do it mostly with my DJI FPV drone
If I shoot in 25fps I prefer to go with 5K, because image quality is still better, even if you have to crop in a little bit :) for 4K I prefer 50fps and in 4:3 ratio you can't shoot in 50fps
Do any of the drone simulators have something to practice chasing in them? Would love a simulated downhill mountain biker or a wakeboarder on a lake or anything really.
If I remember it right there is a gokart track in Velocidrone and two gokarts are driving on in consistently.. But I don't remeber which map exactly is it :)
I am wondering how do you insure yourself against any unwanted damage you can cause to your subjects. Drones are susceptible to many different factors like sudden gust of wind or radio interference so you can't exclude possibility that it might create a receipt that will cover repairs for other party.
That's a great question.. I recently got an insurance for my quads.. for injuries and damage.. so if the worst case scenario happens and I crash, the insurance covers the repairs
Great video! I'm about to do a motocross chase video and I would like to ask whether to use superview or wide? And what frame rate should I use for slow mo. I'm thinking of 2.7k 60fps. Thanks!
Tip 1: Fly faster Tip 2: Do dynamic movement around your subject, it will help to keep it framed in the middle Tip 3: If flying just in the straight line, try to get as close as possible and stay low.. directly above the ground.. so your subject is a little bit higher and consequently in the middle of the frame
@@stephanwibmer3446 Thanks! Yeah I know, i takes a lot of time to shoot and edit a high quality tutorial. Am doing my best, will try to post more.. maybe sacrifice some of the production quality :)
Depends on how fast you are flying, i usually do it like this: Slow precision flying: 10-15 degrees Medium speed around 50-80 km/h: 25-35 degrees 100+ km/h: 40-50 degrees
@@tomstrojnik thanks I’ve been having fun getting use to it with the gps drone I wanna get a FPV drone but I’m worried I won’t be able to get the hang of coding
