Alexandre studied circus performance at the National Circus School in Montreal, specializing in Cyr wheel and Russian Cradle. Together with his partner Émilie Fournier, they performed as the aerial duo Chilly & Fly for almost a decade. Their outstanding skills and expertise led them to receive the Silver Clown at the 41st Festival International du Cirque de Monte Carlo, one of the most esteemed recognitions in the circus world.
While some may consider the Cyr wheel a secondary act, Alexandre's mastery of the discipline sets him apart. Since embarking on his journey in 2007, when the discipline was still in its early stages, Alexandre dedicated years to researching and polishing his craft on the Cyr wheel. Throughout his career, he has toured internationally, captivating audiences with both his Cyr wheel and Russian Cradle performances. From bustling city streets to enchanting circus big tops and glamorous opera houses, Alexandre has graced stages of all kinds.
Alexandre's approach to the Cyr wheel is truly unique, aiming to establish a symbiotic relationship between himself and the prop, resulting in captivating and dramatically impactful performances. As an early adopter of the Cyr wheel, he continuously pushes the boundaries, expanding his vocabulary and exploring new creative possibilities with innovative stage technology.
His ability to evoke intense emotions through his performances has garnered him numerous accolades at prestigious festivals and popular TV shows around the globe. Most recently, Alexandre was honored with the Switzerland Golden Artistika 2023 for his exceptional solo performance on the LED wheel-a culmination of his ten years of development and dedication to perfecting this act.
