I am doing some simulations for a converting process including : 1- Creasing (Punching) and Folding. both procedures are very fast with a real event time of around 4 ms. 2- My deformable body (blank) is a composite including 8 layers and cohesive layers in between. 3- The material are also fully anisotropic 4- I am using solid and cohesive elements for solid and cohesive layers, respectively. 5- The step time , i used based on the real time and i have just used slightly mass scaling while the ALLE was less than 4% of ALLIE. But, what make my simulations unstable is a strange error ''Excessive Deformation''. That happens even in some elements that are so far away from the interested deformation zone, and that is why the all simulation will be unfortunately failed. I looked inside some tutorials and forums, but still there is no clear and effective solution for this error. That can be solved, by using a kind of ''Scale Factor
Hello mister, I have problem with ABAQUS. I want to simulate half-ball to cup contact with 0.05 radial clearance. How to remove gap because of radial clearance, so the two surface will contact ? I really need your help
