Damn man that sucks, especially when this procedure can be done on babies. Having your penis mutilated and not being able to do anything about it sounds horrible.
yeah , depending on what state you are in you MIGHT be able to file a medical malpractice claim, a botched procedure like that would probably qualify, it depends on the statute of limitations (how long after a surgery you can claim malpractice) on malpractice cases wherever you live though. some states (this is US centric advice btw lol) also allow you to sue a certain amount of years after discovery even if the post operation statute has expired. For example in Maryland the statute is 5 years after surgery but 3 years after the discovery OF the issue so you could still sue after the 5 years are up I believe.
I'm so sorry. I once saw one that looked like a chunk had been nearly severed and then healed back on the wrong way. Like, the flesh was still there, but adhered to the side of the head instead of put back where it belonged? I was teenager at the time and I think that was when it clicked for me, "WTF are they doing to babies?!" almost every circ'd 🍆 I see has complications. They're just normalized, so they don't get lumped into the fraudulent statistics which claim circ lowers risk of complications. I guess if you don't consider keratinization of the glans, adhesions and loss of sensation to be complications then yeah, uncirc have it way worse 🙄
Humans survived successfully for thousands of years prior to this horrific practice. There is absolutely NO REASON to circumcise a healthy male who does not present excessive fusing or deformation. I refused circumcision for my son. I have been asked by many, why I didn't have him cut. I say, if it isn't broke, it doesn't need fixing. If he feels the need to shed his flesh when he gets older, he can do it on his own. As for religious convictions... my son's relationship with God is his own. If he is denied because of a decision I made, then that's not much of a God, if you ask me.

@fonzworthbentley7455 - indeed, they have... but it doesn't prove the practice to be any more necessary. As a matter of fact, on most cases, it is absolutely UNNECESSARY... an unnecessary surgical procedure which actually presents the subject to a greater risk of infection. My son was born 48 years ago in a small town in Germany at an old hospital. When I brought him home, he was not circumcised nor do I recall the hospital staff asking me about the procedure. I read that Germany is a non-circumcising country and the procedure is done mostly for health or religious reasons. I found out years later that the procedure is routinely done in the US. My son never talked to me about this issue nor do I want to know. That’s his private business. In retrospect, it does seem that a baby’s circumcision is kind of barbaric. Why not let the youngsters decide, once they’re older, if they want the procedure or not. Just saying. 🤷♀️
Yeah, I'm Brazilian and was circumcised as an infant, I got some complications and needed a few surgeries since then to correct the issues, and I have a lot of scars from them. I am totally against circumcisions, specially on infants.
Circumcision in adults is much more invasive and complicated. Sensitivity is also decreased a lot whereas if circumcised as an infant, boys gain almost 100% sensitivity throughout years of development. Plus, hygiene, yes that’s right, hygiene.

I cannot imagine someone leaving the gross, unnecessary skin on just because it is natural. It is like leaving in the appendix because it has some uses.
@NoahLange337 I just think it proper that the person it's being done to be capable of consenting to it. When I say "circumcision," I guess I meant to say "infant circumcision." It's a bit like infant baptism: what does it really accomplish?
The only reason I got circumcised was that it is easier and way less painful to clean. It also looks better and the skin is not needed. + how would the kid understand the benefits and negatives? Even a 12 year old cannot, and any older it gets harder and scars are left. Infant circumcision is the best in my opinion
@NoahLange337 That's my issue, though: the infant can't understand any better than the 12-year-old, and putting an infant through surgery that isn't strictly medically necessary (and is somewhat cosmetic) is a bit risky. It'd be a bit like removing the appendix at infancy; this would certainly prevent inflammation of the appendix farther down the line, but infant surgery is always extremely risky. Personally, I was circumcised, and my only issue was that it was done without my ability to consent. I'll spare you the details, but I think I prefer having been circumcised to not having been circumcised. I just think the difficulties presented at later age circumcision are worth it compared to the risks and lack of consent at infancy, but parents who do this are not bad parents by any means.
@@NoahLange337Bro is mad he lost his hoodie :D It's not considered gross anywhere else in the world you should really rethink this. It's harmful and fucking weird to mutilate childrens genitals

@@markjackson1989 Circumcision and limb amputation are HUGE DIFFERENCES. If both of the procedures are EXACTLY the same thing then circumcised penis should removed the head of the penis if you compare it to the leg. There is absolutely NO amputation in circumcised penis. It’s ONLY removing the skin without touching the actual penis. If it was done with the leg. You’re only be removing the skin of the leg without chopping off the leg. Circumcision and amputation are two different procedures. Completely different and nothing to do with each other. You’re only losing the skin not the whole sexual organ. For the people arguing in the comments, most of the Europe is intact and is doing just fine, there's no men dying from cancers and stds at astronomical rates. Also many later in life circumcisions happen because people are not taught how to take care of their parts properly, resulting in parents trying to forcibly detach the foreskin or nurses not being taught how to take care of infant and male genitals in general, whether on babies or on the elderly. Also it wouldn't be bad if more people watched circumsion videos, just to get informed on what's happening.
I’m having twins in a couple weeks and one of them is a boy. My grandmother, mother, and uncle have mocked me, shamed me, and tried to bully me into circumcising my son. If he wants to be circumcised as an adult, he can make that choice.
I’m happy for your son and for your thoughtful protection of him. I can tell you that circumcision problems are not rare at all, they are in fact very common, the issue is that most men don’t make the connection back to circumcision as the cause of certain issues.
Massive respect for you! It shouldn’t be parents call on whether or not to mutilate their child’s genitals, if that’s what you child wants when their older then good for them but it should be their choice.

I'm curious if some of it is because of how much US Healthcare costs. Like yeah they can wait and hope their boy has good hygiene and/or isn't predisposed towards complications. But if they need to pay for the procedure and antibiotics later, it's probably gonna be the price of a car.

That doesn’t like a very standard procedure, especially because it doesn’t sound like anaesthetic was used. It doesn't help when they exaggerate the negatives and undermine the positives of the procedure either. I have yet to find a truly accurate pros and cons list of circumcision in this comment section. Just people fear-mongering about how your tip is going to scar up and how it's going to fall off or how your urethra is going to close up, or how you are going to die from desensitation... If it's an ethical issue, you don't need to deceive or lie or exaggerate about it. Many people don't realize that actually diminishes their point, because it shifts the argument from that of an ethical one of choice, to that of a practical one... And it's not one that either side is going to win, because the benefits and downsides of having and not having a circumcision are largely inconsequential. If you wanna coom to anime waifus all day long instead of having the stamina to please a real woman, that is your choice. But don't project that onto the infants. Keep it ethical, not about personal regret or ire about the lost forbidden sensation that would've turned your life around and given you the ambition to become a millionaire.

A lot of people don't seem to realize that the foreskin actually has a reason to be there. Mainly to keep the tip soft and to give a "gliding" function (all of which also helps out your partner). It's a mucous membrane much like the inside of your eyelids and there's a stretchy band called the frenelum that has a ton of nerve endings. Getting cut removes all of that functionality and dries out the tip, so it starts keratinizing from the surface leaving it less sensitive. I was born in Europe. We don’t mutilate little boys in Poland. When I had my son after moving to the US, as a new mom, I didn’t appreciate nurses, doctors, his pediatrician AND THEY EVEN SENT A DAMN SOCIAL WORKER to change my mind (this was in 1997). I had to sign more paperwork REFUSING to allow doctors to mutilate my baby, they made me feel like I was stupid and ignorant.

EVERYONE fought me on not circumcising my son. my husband isnt and has never had a problem. my thought process was simple... why do an unnecessary procedure to my newborn? hes almost 4 and i have never thought i made the wrong decision.
I'm circumcised and I would hate to not have it like this, but I get kids can't consent, so can someone explain to me why anybody cares about some foreskin? If there's a medical reason for why you all are so against circumcision, I would love to hear it. To me its just some foreskin, I don't know what the big deal is, especially since I would hate to get a surgery on it later in life than in infancy.
@@EarlofBusterbrook How can you say you would hate it if you were not? If it is something they did to you as an infant you don't know how things would be.
@@EarlofBusterbrook Reasons against it: 1) it violates someone's body that can't consent, some times to fit the beauty standards ( i have seen fathers saying they want the baby to be like them down there, weird). 2) it is painful and can have complications ( babies have lost their penis for an unnecessary reason) and don't tell me babie don't feel pain, they do, even if they don't remember it is messed up, if i slap a baby i would be a monster in everyone's eyes. 3) the benefits are almost don't exist, some claim it reduces std which makes no sense and not reliable studies support it, we don't see an actual difference in Europe and usa in uti and std when we compare cut and uncut. 4) it can effect sex life in a negative way. 5) the reasons why it started in usa was from puritans that wanted to stop self pleasure. If an late teen or adult want to do it that is fine, but when you see people that have grown and hate what others did to their bodies, that is disturbing. You always do it later but you can't undo it

PEACE and fuck all you women that are grossed out by them, or are in fear of hygiene. 100% of the time i piss i was the head of my dick off and dry it plus shower during the day on top of it. i bet most of your men that are clipped just throw it back inside their pants while its still dripping.
Didn't circumcise my son, and I regret that decision. He had problems with the skin not retracting properly when he was little. The doctor kept wanting me to retract it daily, which was painful for him. Then she wanted me to apply hydrocortisone cream to him every day. All of it was miserable. Eventually I just stopped and figured it would either work itself out or get to a point where he would need to be circumcised. He is fine now, but it was a lot of pain and frustration along the way. I think that doctor was a quack, btw.
@@Karamarika wtf what's that doctor even or some shaman? Maybe the doctor has no contact with foreskin as so many people are circumcised in the US. Your son probably had phimosis and would need small intervention rather not months of pain.
@thedragonhunter no, it's supposed to retract a little before puberty. I spent plenty of time looking it up when this was going on. However, I don't think it was as big of an issue as the doctor made it out to be. That's why I decided to stop and take a "wait and see" approach instead.
I just wish that I was even given a choice about getting circumcized. Edit: Lots of comments here, just to answer some questions as far as I am aware I was cut shortly after birth and even now as an adult myself my parents who should have been there when it happened still do everything they can to avoid talking about the surgical operation that was done to me before i was able to form memories of my own so i know very little.

I’m a woman and even I was like “I’m 90% sure that the frenulum is still there on a circumcised meat stick” I still think circumcision is not ok to do to a child; just teach them proper hygiene and stop the stigma among women that it “looks weird” because it doesn’t look any weirder than a circumcised meat stick. Let’s face it, all genitals look pretty odd lol
Depends on if someone got lucky enough to at least keep that part of the structure. Many don't, myself included. Just love having dried out, scarred, numb genitals. 😩
I never heard the end of it from family members when I chose not to have either of my sons snipped. It's their body, they can make that decision for themselves when they get older. Unless there's a medical reason for it, why do it? Both of my boys have been healthy, no issues at all. I just had to learn about how to care for it so I could teach them and monitor when they were able to retract the skin back so I could teach them how to keep it clean under there. It's no different than teaching little girls how to clean and care for their parts. Boys keeping their parts clean isn't any more complex or dangerous.
They're at higher likelihood of infection, reproductive complications, and a possible need for surgery later in life. The surgery for babies isn't remembered, heals faster, and doesn't cause a perceived change in sensation. Having the surgery later in life should not be done unless medically necessary as it will have all the opposite effects.
@@LiliKayyy Removing the uterus has a significant effect on the child's life. The most significant effect of circumcising a baby boy is a decreased risk of infection.
@@Arbidarb Just admit it's for "aesthetic" reasons lol Infections won't happen if you're a clean person. Where I live we are taught basic higiene by our parents, including how to properly wash our weewees and hoohaas. It's just wild to me how people especially in the US do this on children who don't have any problems whatsoever. It's just a weird thing to do if the child doesn't have complications. Just teach your children basic higiene, their foreskins are natural and meant to stay there unless it's actively risking the child's functionality. If it's not a problem for most of the world, why do americans think they're at higher risk of getting penile infections than anyone else? Doesn't make sense. Also circumcised penises are just ugly to most people, so it does affect the person negatively as it is a huge turn-off to both men and women, its something that shouldn't be done if it's not necessary.
@@LiliKayyy Circumcision has been practiced by different peoples since ancient times because they realized that sometimes it can cause reproductive problems and sometimes it gets infected. And since we wear clothes we don't have a need for the foreskin. As an adult with a working brain you should understand that infections can occur despite hygiene standards. The aesthetic argument doesn't matter in the slightest because no one really cares what kind of penises you personally prefer.
I got circumcised when I turned 18 due to the fact that I had lived with phimosis for many years and there was risk of getting infections due to the phimosis. I'm terrified of surgeries but the surgeon was very good and a sweet person and the operation was a success. I'm happy I made the decision to get the surgery.
Phimosis can't be diagnosed in immature males. I bet I know what was happening: your parents or a caregiver were "forced retractors." They were ignorant of proper penis care and pulled your foreskin back, possibly tearing skin. The foreskin is attached to the glans in a boy, with attachments called synechiae, that are like how your fingernails attach to the fingernail bed. You shouldn't be happy that you got amputated. There are many benefits to an intact foreskin. Phimosis is easy to cure in a young boy. Simple squeezing of the glans, some cream, and LEAVE IT ALONE AND STOP RETRACTING IT.
@TrackedHiker the ignorance in this comment is crazy. My boyfriend went without retracting his foreskin all his life because it caused him insane pain. He couldn't have sex, he couldn't jerk off normally, it hurt him midway getting hard. The skin was squeezing the head, which is phemosis, and he thought that's just how life with a dick is. Until he finally got circumcised, and alas, he now is happier than ever before, because he can actually use his dick as God intended.
My friend got circumcised later in life cause he wanted to fit in and his ex used to call him turtle neck 💀. It’s been two years and he says he lost a lot of sensation and it doesn’t feel as good as it used to

My husband said the same thing. He was never cut as a kid and did it as an adult for religious reasons. After the fact he told me he lost some sensation down there, now I wish he never did it and I wish we never gave my son a circumcision. I never knew how much sensation it took away. That doesn't seem fair. That's a big thing I question in the Bible. It says not to mutilate yourself then directly tells you to mutilate babies. That doesn't check out
If we cant tattoo babies, we cant cut their foreskin either. Its the individual's choice to decide how their body must look like, skin, hair, whatever Not the parents
@Adolph-Hatler yeah im not saying its common or should be done in newborns or children in every instance, but only on specific cases that require it, no health prevention is an excuse for a procedure that can potentially affect sensitivity and that in general is unnecessary for most individuals
Every boy is born that way so it's normal to be uncircumcised. If you teach your son proper hygiene at young age then he is most likely going to maintain good hygiene as an adult. Circumcision is basically giving him a short cut to practice good hygiene, "it's easier to clean up". In the end it's his body part and he should decide as an adult. Give the man his free will to decide.
I wash my junk every day and I don't have any problems no infections, no rashes, no dick cheese... just teach your kids to keep themselves clean, don't butcher their genitals..
And SO MANY PEOPLE are ignorant of what proper hygiene is for a foreskin. Let me tell you, or anyone. 1. The only person who should ever retract a foreskin is the owner. EVER. Never, ever, ever, try to retract the foreskin. It is bonded to the glans with synechiae, the same kind of bond as between fingernails and fingernail bed, or between a girl's labia. You don't tear open a girl's genitals, do you? You don't think a baby girl's genitals need to be washed out on the *inside*, do you? 2. When the foreskin is still attached, and/or the end of the foreskin is still tight/small and not stretched out, then the space around the glans is an internal organ and the glans remains mucosa, just like in the mouth or vagina: pink/purple, not skin colored. Urine is sterile and safely flushes out that region when the boy urinates. There is nothing to wash when retraction is not happening. This also protects the glans and internal parts from external contaminants like feces. 3. It's normal for a foreskin to remain attached to the glans until even 18 years old or beyond, even through puberty. It is also normal for the end of the foreskin to remain a tight narrow ring that cannot retract past the glans for just as long. There is no need to retract it until ready for sexual intercourse. All it takes is some gentle stretching over time and possibly a cream. No surgery, no emergencies. If the foreskin gets pulled back behind the glans so it cannot move forward, just gently squeeze the glans for a while and the foreskin will be able to pass over it again. Phimosis cannot be diagnosed in a young male whose foreskin is still attached. 4. The only thing a penis should get washed with is water. No soap, nothing. Do you put soap into a girl's genitals? No, you don't, because it would cause irritation and disrupt the environment and will cause yeast infections. Even if smegma accumulates, it's just dead skin cells and skin oil. Girls get it all the time, and they don't need soap. Water will clean it out. But you don't retract a foreskin to wash unless you are the OWNER. Do you wash your ear canals with soap? Do you wash your mouth with soap? Don't be an idiot.

@@Heritagepostfarms was pretty standard procedure 30 some years ago. And as I said, the decision was made with my son’s father taking his (my husband’s) opinion and experience into consideration along with the fact that at that time I had a brother in law who was an Israeli immigrant (Jewish).

circumcision is good. as parents, you need to plant good stuff like basic manners, basic logic, culture, language, gender role(only 2), etc to your kids. don't be like those dumb woke people that let their children truly free. that's not a good thing. that's more like toxic positivity. it's more like NEGLECTING YOUR CHILDREN. The purpose of family is to inherit the knowledge and stuff from the experienced older human to their new, younger human called as "children" if the role of family is gone, then the child gonna have some dad or mom issue or both. the child need to research a whole thing by themselves. and it's cruel. it's like.. in a game, MMORPG, u start over from zero. while u actually can watch some pro players giving tips on youtube so you have some basic knowledges that help you to boost your gaming experience. but life is more important and with more stuff to do than just a mere MMORPG. if parents, don't care about what their children does, it's no different from orphanage. the children just live there without guidance and knowledge legacy. It’s not genital mutilation. That’s like saying you’re mutilating someone’s fingers by cutting their nails. Genital mutilation would be if the entire organ was deformed and crippled by the procedure.
@UnohanaMash, that is a terrible argument because nails grow back. If you were to cut or rip someone's nails off completely, it would be considered mutilation

The Doctor is right, but he left out the downsides of circumcision. I mean obviously if you cut off a part that has many nerve endings, you loose sensitivity. The glans will loose a lot of sensitivity too due to keratinization. Then there can be many issues with scarring and such. There are no real benefits to it. Its said to decrease risk of some super rare diseases, but if you wash like any reasonable person, you wont have problems with that or hygiene either.
Circumcised male working on restoration checking in: 1- its not permanent! Well, you cant grow back anatomical loss, but you can regrow skin to increase sensitivity. Your frenulum loss may vary depending on your original cut. 2- i normally love all your content Doc, but these protocols are presented as hard facts, but i can personally attest to my experience and those of others in the resto community, that overly tight circumcisions can reduce size and cause discomfort. I was too big for my cut, my skin was very tight on arousal, and i barely had sensation anywhere down there. Took me 22 years to figure that out. Even a minor amount of foreskin restoration (just enough to create slack when erect), was world altering when it comes to sensation and even comfort during arousal. We have indoor plumbing and good hygiene, there is no reason outside of cultural preference, to perpetuate this practice as a default IMO. The risk is too high.

Well the foreskin is a natural barrier against trauma, scratches, dirt and bacteria. So unlike some US-comments say. Foreskins are actually more hygienic if you don't wanna out yourself as someone who showers less than once a month. Your dick became almost numb to trauma and scratches. I mean you don't even feel your shorts rubbing against it. A natural guy would wince in pain from how sensitive it is. But yeah that's about it.
thats sadly loss of sensation, thats one of the biggest downsides to having no hood. Another reason why this procedure shouldnt be okay on kids or babies but if you're an adult or have a parent whos allowing you to go for it
A lot of people have this stuff completely wrong and make it much deeper than it really is. I've met men who are cut and haven't lost any sensation. Every man that I've encountered who is uncut has always had some sort of smell/cheese going on and they don't seem to feel much more, honestly it's just disgusting. You should be proud of your unhooded head, a *lot* of women prefer it that way and you won't have to deal with infections like other dudes. That being said, it still depends on the individual's hygiene habits, cut dudes can still be pretty nasty but it's much rarer. Also it's good that you had it done younger, as it would have healed much better and you will retain more sensation, and usually less scarring (depending on the doctor's skill level). Much better for deepthroat too ;)
Almost none of Europe and Asia is circumcised. It’s either heavily regulated or greatly frowned upon due to ethical implications.
