i use to go there back in the 80 I was in n my 20 no soy gay pero me gustaba el ambiente fue ai que conocí mi esposa i luego por muchos años atuvimos kendo muy buenos recuerdos de este lugar

Circus and Arena had their differences in the 1990's. Arena was for Friday nights, Circus was Wednesdays and Saturdays. All the House dancers and voguers would be at Arena, and their sound system was much louder. They had a much better layout when it came to the stage for performances. Circus was just IMMENSE, and the sound system had way more bass. The outdoor setup with bbq, food and places to sit and chill was bomb. It wasn't until 2000 or so when they began to utilize the upstairs section for dancing. So they had three types of music for you to enjoy, and it was awesome. Arena stopped gay nights and started having special events for the gays. And so the Arena crowd became much different. East Hollywood was much grittier back then, and kinda sketchy so you had to be careful if/when you parked on the side streets. I'm grateful I experienced it.

Is the circus club that had techno on Saturdays?

I went there in the early to mid 90's. Great place.
