Just a damned blast. I tried to keep it spoiler free as many enemies are also classes you can get! If you like these please share them. And since most everything I do is now listed as adult or demonotized. Chedck out the patron if I have saved you cash or found a cool game for you. www.patreon.com/AngryCentaurGaming
On behalf of the dev team, thanks for the amazing review! We're beyond flattered you loved it so much. Also, might I just add that of everyone I demoed the game for, you asked the most interesting questions, and speaking as a former Reviews Editor, you're really good at what you do. Even if you hadn't liked it, I'd probably be like, "Man, he really explained that well, though." ...But I'm glad you did! 😃
What a wild and creative idea, while it's not my normal taste, I can appreciate it's uniqueness. I wish there was more creativity like this rather than the same safe bland titles. I'm giving this a shot.
@@jonr7364 I think it looks great, partly because of how that combat looks. I loved darkest dungeon, and this game looks like it’s trying some cool sim/management stuff, so I’m down. I really liked dark souls combat too, but I’ve never thought a game looked bland because it had similar combat. I mean, the entire adventure genre basically has stamina and health/ dodge and parry now, but I still enjoy those too:)
Karak, swear to God you have been my go to for a while now. Before I ever think of buying anything, I always check out to see your input. Thanks for the content, and always saving my ass from potential frustration and regret.
What’s wild is that this game is the first that cemented the idea of ‘darkest dungeon like’ being as viable a term as ‘souls like’. It’s unmistakable when a game attempts to exist in that space, and I mean that as a compliment. Darkest dungeon is one of my favorite games, and I hope more devs take a crack at this type of game, because I really enjoy them. Can’t wait to check this out, thanks for the review!
Cheers O'Bearded One. The game isn't for me but I love the setting. Would love to see a few more games in other genres set in the world of circuses like this. Maybe a mystery to investigate. Hope you get your de-monetisation sorted out soon but YT also needs to work on dealing with bots. You can't go to a video these days without multiple bots in the comments.
Always appreciate your reviews, can't wait to dive into this title. I've been needing to scratch that Darkest Dungeon itch since playing Monster Train last year. Keep up the great work!
Great review as usual. I appreciate the variety of the games that you choose to explore. Wishing you continued success from the mountains of Oregon. I will play this at some point soon as funds allow.
Really looking forward to this one, release is 2 hours away from now on Steam. Hope it will run fine on the Steam Deck too although the screen might be a bit too small to comfortably play this one.
@@yamahkogribbis6212 It runs absolutely perfect. But the text is small and the icons on the cards are even smaller, making it a bit hard to read. I switched to playing it on my pc because of this.
I love that you review more AA and indie games than most big channels. Thanks for that as you have turned me on to many indie games that I have loved. I'm sure this one will fall into that list.
Goodness, thank you for reviewing this. I never would have checked it out otherwise, but it touches on the things I loved about Darkest Dungeon while also being a unique setting unto itself.
Hey, just a small note: Saber Interactive is just publishing this. It's by Zen Studios, the pinball game guys who also put out Operencia a few years back (which I liked).
Thanks so much for putting out this vid, I think the game looks amazing and I think it's fairly unique with the story and art style it brings. I'm definitely picking this up and probably would've never known about this without your vid.
Killer Klowns is one of my favorite movies (dont judge me) and then we get to Darkest Dungeon and just WOW, what a game!!! This one was made for me, I must have it. Now I have something to do while I wait for the ACG Killer Klowns game review.
Even tho I am petrified of clowns, especially these styles of clowns I am going to pick the game up, you can tell that they created this game passionately and it is so unique. It is awesome to see some creative games again and not copy and paste games that we unfortunately seem to be seeing, more and more. And as always, you cannot beat ACG's reviews, hands down the best of the best.
I appreciate the creativity and uniqueness that went into this game. I'll definitely have to give it a shot. Thanks once again Karak for another honest, unbiased and detailed review! Keep it up!
I just saw this announced for PS+ for next month. I totally missed this game and your review to boot. I can't believe it cause its also my favorite genre of games!
I don't usually buy games on release. Just so much on the line with that, even when I really want to support a game (like Inscryption last week for psn). But this one I'm absolutely buying later today.
Awesome review Karak! Downloaded on my PS5 although only the PS4 version is listed in the Playstation Store it’s no big deal as 60fps and ray tracing is unneeded here. Loving the game!
I’ll gladly pay for admission to this circus 🎪! Love Darkest Dungeon, Killer Klowns & the art style, so yea I’m definitely in! Thnx for the review ACG, hadn’t heard of this title till I caught your review, thnx!
For a circus themed game i would expect some wild and catchy music but the in game battle music is very faint and almost non existent which makes the game feel unfinished. Since most of the game is in battle I find this very important. Darkest Dungeon had awesome music.
Dude ACG, what’s up with RU-vid screwing you around lately? And I kinda miss the podcast. Are you still doing it just on a different platform? It was the perfect end of my week.
Unlike darkest dungeon if you make a mistake here it's game over. If you can't beat a boss you can't backtrack or do anything to change the outcome. Kind of kills the fun factor.
Your thumbnail was enough for me to buy this. I'm enjoying it even more than cult of the lamb. It's the successor to the penny arcade games we never got imo
Between this and Steel Legion, I applaud the rise of “oh this looks weird, maybe it’s not for me but damn it looks like it’s gonna tickle someone’s fancy *perfectly*” releases. What next? A Soulslike set in the underwater kingdom of atalantis??
A question: is this game as hard as the two Darkest Dungeon games? Those are built on dealing with death and despair. This seems more light-hearted - seems to be a mix of Darkest Dungeon with We Happy Few - but does a party wipe happen regularly?
It gets tough if you don't plan accordingly; but as long as you don't neglect putting up shows to get some extra shillings (cash) you'll be able to adapt to any setbacks you encounter
Got I love this game. The battles, setting characters, voice actors story. It's all so great. Obviously some flaws but generally overall a genuinely good game
