The SR series moves into its seventh generation with the releaser of the G7. There's a whole new interior with Garmin touchscreen avionics and controllers plus much much more… #Cirrus SR22 #Garmin
Looks really nice. SR22T is a great platform to enjoy and eventually transition in to turbo-props or Light Jets. More than anything the 3D safe taxi, stick shaker and flap speed protection will help a lot of newer piston pilots fly more safely. Well done Cirrus.
Wow, okay. At first I was a little skeptical about that GTC , but after hearing Ivy fully break it’s functionality down to its very last compound, I must say that I truly love those two GTCs! Cirrus has and will always be in my opinion the best personal and safest plane in the market hands down!!!!!!
I was looking at the Diamond until I received an invitation to view this video and Ivy won me over. I look forward to taking one for a test drive but I already know the outcome...and like the price too. Moving to the Knoxville area and checking out the Fly The Fields new airpark nearby. This is a retirement dream for me.
Amazing aircraft and very well thought out. I know on the current perspective+ avionics suite there are several ways to get around the avionics suite. What are the multiple ways to click through items on the new avionics suite? Is it only touch and the button on the bolster? Also, does the new touch button start assist with hot/cold starts and the associated issues with each?
Yea that’s what the whole universe is wondering, why are they still using that io-550 dinosaur engine, it’s garbage. The lycoming Ie2 has what everyone wants in a million dollar airplane.
@@tropicthndrBecause they signed a deal where they have to use it. They also have a huge profit margin with it and changing it means older SRs will need separate mechanics, needs, etc.
This is a very very lovely aircraft however I have some concerns. I can’t see standby instruments and would like further explanation as to flying IFR, have they been removed and does the law allow it ? Another concern you close the fuel cap which makes it automatic if the system fails and pilot assumes it’s in auto won’t that be a threat because pilots will tend to assume that well it’s on auto and rely on it. Elaborating further pilot thinks he closed it but didn’t 😅. I would have preferred it to always be manual honestly but yeah.
This is the reason why cirrus runs circles around their competitors. Cessna, piper, diamond, etc can't keep up. No wonder people are willing to spend close to a million dollars for cirrus aircraft
@darthmelbius cirrus sells more airplanes then all of its competitors combined. Cessna and piper are building the same planes they built 60 years ago and still cannot put a parachute in their aircraft. The next step for cirrus will be turbine engines and people who can afford them, will be lining up to buy them
The M350 is only about $0.5 more (which if your paying $1 million for a Cirrus then I can almost guarantee you can afford to pay 500k more). I can’t tell if the SR22T is just super overpriced or if the M350 is underpriced but that 500k is getting you a pressurized cabin, 2-3x the size and carrying capacity, longer range, 3x screen G1000 Nxi suite making it A LOT more 2x pilot friendly than a Cirrus. It’s A LOT more comfortable, 2x quieter, has WIFI and a GWX radar, and emergency descent mode (edm) Hell, it even has a pulse-ox system built into both yokes that upon detecting hypoxia or suspects your becoming hypoxic it automatically descends using the EDM. Also activates the EDM if the cabin becomes depressurized and has a 6 place oxygen system backup. Now I can guarantee all the Cirrus lovers are gonna say the Cirrus is better because of the CAPS system but that’s their opinion. My opinion, the CAPS system is a small price to pay for a significantly more luxurious airplane.
Ivy, very nice presentation but I have a million dollar question. What with the Price Point be for the SR22T. My guess with inflation the way it is. I will say 1.5 to 1.7 Mill. Oh one last thing Cup Holders for the Pilot and Co-pilot. did not see any.
It’s already been through multiple stages, year after year, that excuse is dead long ago. Everyone knows the io-550 throws counterweights through the side of the block and blows off cylinders over and over.@@Hockey20620
what we really need is heated and better recline seat , dimmable windows , better insulation and digital automatic air conditioning, better door seal , and turbo normalizing
“When you’re moving back and forth between this and the jet”, yeah why buy just one? Why not buy an SR20 also just because you know we just have to spend over 5 million dollars.
