I work that airspace where the guy was giving you a hard time about the speeds. He made it sound like a bigger deal than it actually is. Most of the controllers, who aren't plane geeks, don't quite understand the speed limitations on you guys.
Hey i would like to know i live about 22 to 25 miles away from LAX on the direct street that run all the way from my house to lax runway on Manchester blvd literally my question is this how come the airplanes come DOWN out hear like they are about to land on the runway and go back up in the air the air port is about 22 to 25 miles away some times they are so low we can see the passenger Windows my neighbors and i would like to know they look like some times espically the big commercial planes like they are only maybe 800 to 1000 feet off the ground from us. And some of the ones coming from the west direction always are making a u turn right here getting lined up with. All the other planes lined up on the flight path goin to lax if u know why some of the planes comes down so low me and my neighbor would like to know its so weird to us that the planes look like they are about to land in our neighborhood when lax runway is 22 to 25 miles away and not right here were we live its just like we live right across the street from the runway at lax. We are puzzled as to why if u know the answer we would very much appreciate and explanation as to why they are so close to the ground way out here. Thanks.
@@CitationMax I’m looking to get my pilots license , first training in gliders but what do you recommend for someone wanting to get a commercial pilots license? I’m in south Florida , any schools you recommend?
Max, Sorry for giving you such a hard time about the speed on the arrival. The ANJLL does have the publish speed of 280kt and socal usually throws a fit if you cant do it with the mix of aircraft on that route which is a high demand route as you can imagine. Ive got your tail number now and ill give you better service next time bud. Sorry bout that JG
Hey Jeremy, thanks for reaching out. no worries at all! i totally get it. sorry we couldn't go any faster for ya! hope to talk to you again next time im back in socal
cirrusmax as I understand it, we have a mutual friend. Crazy this world of aviation eh? If your ever up in the Palmdale/lancaster area for whatever reason I’ll buy you a beer to make up for it
I was born and raised in L.A.. Ive lived a many years on the main flight path strait into lax. From right down the street in Inglewood from lax and about 20 miles out from lax where the big air planes would come down like they where about to land 22miles out by the 710 frwy and the river bed. And would go back up like they just took off from the dam runway i never under stood it but i have always since i was a little one have always love to see the airplanes flying over my neighborhood and they always have been moving pretty fast trying to get their asses to LAX. Fast and land and shut those engines off . As an observer of planes landing over head i could always tell the pilot of those planes if they have ever took off and flown and landed at LAX. Or if it was their first time landing from some were else that they came from and have never ever. Landed at one of the most busiest and crowded air port and air space in the world.i remember a great pilot told me onetime if a pilot can fly in LAX air space they can fly any where. And i belive that. IN my life time living on this flight path have never. Ever heard are seen not one air craft crash in our neighborhoods in which all these air planes fly over us here in the L.A. metro area. Ive seen SOME close ass calls in the air but no mid air crashes in my life time here in L.A.. Hats off to all those air traffic controllers past and present. They have their hands full coordinating all those many flights. Of all those aircrafts coming from all over the world and places on this earth and no major crashes in all those years that ive lived in Los Angeles.
Great Video!! The Vision Jet is an amazing airplane..Love your destinations of the southwestern part of the U.S. always great scenery!! Thank you for sharing keep them coming!!
As a tower controller at a couple busy Bravo's now, I had to laugh at that last bit about, not remembering all those taxiways (to SKW landing 25R) because we don't use them much...don't let that be heard too loudly or they'll stop maintaining them and close them!
Love to watch you fly the Vision Jet! What a great way to travel if you can do it. You aren't afraid to fly into the major airports with the heavy traffic. You were following a Dream Liner with no problem. I see that for ATC purposes you can not always accommodate their speed requests but no major problem. Great job as usual! Seeee Yaaaa!
cirrusmax hey max. Do you have any way I could contact you? I have a friend who’s wanting a vision jet and had some questions. justinsoltau@gmail.com is my email.
I fly out of Ottawa Ontario Canada. I piss them off all the time 😂. I fly a Cessna 172 for my training. They keep asking me to fly faster 😂. I can't lol
That was a super cool approach to the city of Angels Max. when I see all that smoke and the pollution over Los Angeles it gives me chills, But I lived and worked at LAX for many Years. And now I live in Durham, North Carolina and here is Heaven comparing to Los Angeles no traffic, no pollution, everything is Green and 100% oxygen in the Air. Sorry L.A. Thank You Max for taking Us to the Smoky City.
It's pretty much like it's in P3D with ORBX AS and REX4 with Enviro though I really wish I could do this for real. Thank you for the enjoyable video you have very crisp and clear production. 👍🛩😀
Thanks for the video as usual Max, we enjoy your videos! Like I've always said LAX is efficient because 340 days of the year they can bring 75% of their traffic in on an 80 mile final. Those days when they can't there are 3 hour delays MINIMUM. Meanwhile other airports switch ops multiple times throughout the days.
Interesting to see this! I always wonder how smaller craft fair in a busy airport with commercial liners all around. Definitely a touch of stress in this approach.
Nice video, nice piloting and nice jet. For next vids, could you set one of the camera so it covers the whole panels and if possible the throttle section also? Btw, you just got one subscriber :)
of course that sensor causing the failure message is handled properly in accordance with FAR 91.213. When flying that little jet to busy airports, best plan as if flying a prop. Just gets in the way on typical jet arrivals.
when we flew commercial, we went to Riverside, btw, I saw a vision jet at Nashville - was that you? If you go to Yellowstone, it is a large caldera of a huge volcano.
i learned more about the cirrus to single pilot transition from your videos than any other source. thanks! (aside: do you have an instagram account? say hi @flightlevel69 if you do!)
Can you please do a full walkaround of Cirrus Vision Jet and the storage of cargo, full cockpit from A to Z, will appreciate as it will benefit a lot of us who are thinking of transitioning to this A/C. Thanking you in advance.
@@CitationMax Thanks Max for responding. KSMO is a bit short for heavies. Too soon, it will be too short for 150s. Thanks again for your videos. I enjoy your professionalism and the environment you yu demonstrate in the cockpit.
Hi, I'm sorry, I missed a few of your earlier videos; but I was wondering why you changed to the Cirrus Vision jet rather than the eclipse? I've just learnt that it has a higher flight ceiling (41,000 feet against 31,000 for the Vision jet; is faster, more economical in fuel and had lower service costs.
Did you have a good reason to fly the VJ into LAX? Cool little plane, but it can’t comply with big airport STAR speeds (shouldn’t have accepted it). And wake turbulence is a killer. HHR a better choice, IMO. Or SMO, etc.
The Cockpit Kids wouldn’t say my absolute all time favorite, but for single pilot rated it is. I have flown several times right seat in the phenom 100 and it’s fantastic. Ceiling of 41k with operating costs of a turbo prop.
Nice. Seems like the Vision jets performance characteristics have fallen into the.....gap. Not slow enough, not fast enough. Your thoughts? Also, your radio work is spot on! Also, can you slip a jet to kill off the speed on short final?
