Compared to OpenFlow I don't see how this approach is any less complex with respect to the network architecture. Just like with OpenFlow, you're hiding the network complexity behind the Controller.

All these technology z basically patch works and every time they come up with new concepts and declare previous technology as garbage or wasted.

"What openflow does is give you a centralized controller for the configuration of the network itself" ... wait, what?
