Its mid September and i headed up to Glen Shiel to take on Ciste Dhubh along with the corbett Am Bathach , i decided to take on Mullach Fraoch-choire aswell as i had missed out on doing it earlier on in the year.
Nice one Ally, great wee edit. I loved these 2 munros when I did them. Pity about the weather on the 2nd as that’s a fantastic scramble over some of the pinnacles. Well done again ATB Frank.
Thanks Franks there a cracking pair of mountains i relay wanted to go over the pinnacles but the rain had made the rocks really slippy and the wind had got up aswell just my luck can remember watching yourself and Dave going over them looked a good we scramble . ATB Ally 👍
Hi Tam that was a hard one the drop between the 2 munros i slightly underestimated 😂 but glad i done it , Glen shiel i just love the walks a fantastic place , just wish this weather would settle not getting out as much i would like but hopefully get some good winter days soon. ATB Ally 👍
Great wee video Ally. I love it up in Kintail, had some good walks up there. Good weather to start with so you got some views. It was clagged in when Paul.and.me.did Ciste Dhubh and we had midges up thereas well. ATB Andy
Cheers Andy a typical day up there starts of well and goes down hill but still really enjoyed it got some good views in the morning so wasn't to bad. Glen sheil has to be one of my fav areas for walking still got the Brothers and the sisters so looking forward to getting back up. ATB Ally👍
Nice one Ally, I was up Am Bathach and Ciste Dhubh in the summer, it's a great walk apart from that loss of height from The Corbett haha. Great effort adding on Mullach Fraoch-choire though especially as the weather turned. I cooled off with a beer in The Clunie Inn, thankfully my bank loan had come through to pay for it. Thanks Mick the morning weather was great then went down hill but still enjoyed it , the drop between the corbett and Ciste Dhubh was a fare wee drop but the drop between the two munros i had underestimated that was a fare old pull up the second one. i haven't been in the Clunie inn looks a nice wee place but think i will just stick to beer and a home made dinner in the van the next time i am up there then .🤣 ATB Ally 👍
Nice one Ally. Big drop down and back up, but good to get the straggler you skipped last time, great ridge on it too. I skipped the Corbett last time I was there, so hoping to go back sometime through the winter.
Hi Andy was determined to get the second Munro done but i think i underestimated that drop between them was a struggle up on to the ridge, was a bit of a pain the weather came in on the ridge so never got the views but still had a great day out really think Glen shiel is one of my fav places loving forward to getting back up ATB Ally 👍

That ridge walk up to MFC is fantastic eh Ally! You got a cracking wee day for it and some amazing views. Windy but at keast the midges are gone. A great effort to link these! Thats some amount of ascent and descent. Atmospheric towards the end 😮. By the way i think i drove past your wee van the other day! Ypu dont happen to stay across the road from where a wee primary school used to be? 😂😂
Hi Paul, That was a hard old day. I underestimated the drops between them was hard going , the weather was great until I got to the ridge, then got clagged in, but still enjoyed it . There used to be two primary schools across and down the street a wee bit, they were knocked down and built houses on top of them, you should have stopped by i have a wee black works van if thats there i would have been in.
