As a Flesh-Eater Courts player trust me, I have BEEN THERE. There is nothing sadder than when the Varghulf just bounces off of a unit uselessly. That said, Tycho forgot to use his army rule! It's easy to forget stuff once the game starts, but the Varghulf and Archie should have been earning Noble Deeds to resurrect their followers or drive them into a feeding frenzy. I'm loving the AoS stuff coming to the channel, please keep up the good work!
19:06 I can totally feel that one. I have thrown away some croxigors in a suicide mission to respawn them when I learned that it has to be a 5 model unit ...
I can never get enough of the energy Nick and Tycho bring to the table! And in general the positivity of all your players even when games go horribly xD
If I am not mistaken, the CoS officer's order ability can only be used once per battle and not every turn. Great game, hope to see more AoS in the future!
Spearhead is seriously great and seriously underrated - everyone who hasn't played it thinks 'oh you just run to middle and smash' - including me before I played it ...everyone who has played it though loves it!
Has someone who also played a Death faction verses a faction that can bring back D3 models per turn in spearhead I felt this match in my soul. But everyone was having fun in both these cases so who cares. Great game to watch and I cannot wait for more AoS content from you guys!
Super excited for this! I’ve been playing 40k for a year now and have been slowly painting the Cities Spearhead box. Really looking forward to playing a new game and learning from this channel!
So happy to see more AoS spearhead on the channel! You guys have been doing a great job keeping the Age of sigmar community happy, ( In my opinion) and the setting was also amazing! Great job!!
Tycho, my brother in Chaos, you may have forgotten some skills and things. But it was fun to imagine grapeshot firing through a bunch of little semi-dead idiots.
Going to be playing my first game of spearhead in the coming weeks, and therefore it'll be my very first time actually playing a war game. Glad this was just uploaded so I can study up :)
I may have missed something, but If Nick took the Double turn on turn 2, he should not have been able to use his command abilities on his cards, and couldn't have scored battle tactic... He scored full 3 on primary and scored one of his battle tactics, for 4 points turn two. He was at 3 after his first turn, and ended at 7 when he should have capped out at 6... Great Video! Keep it up!
spearhead has this rule instead of the normal double turn rules: "SEIZING THE INITIATIVE If the player who went second in the previous battle round wins the priority roll and chooses to go rst, it is called seizing the initiative. When a player seizes the initiative, they do not draw any battle tactic cards for that battle round unless they are the underdog and the difference in victory points between the two players is 5 or greater."
I was wondering what Tycho was going to pick, and I should’ve guessed flesheater courts, it’s the perfect fit. Absolutely loving the AoS content and really hope to see more!
Really? To me it got worse. Edition 1,2 and 3 were lots of fun. Now they try to make the game smaller by capping units at smaller sizes, making everything hard to hit and wound, giving everything good saves and wards and halfing attacks and DMG values
Anybody notice how surprised Tycho was to not roll as well as he usually does, it appears Tycho's dice need more Sigmar experience! That's Sigmar! Showing us entirely different dice behavior
I think that was a mistake, You cannot shoot while in combat or into combat unless You have the shoot in combat ability and even then You can only shoot the unit You are in combat with. But it was one of their first games so they probably didn't know this :)
I just adore AoS armies so much. While the 4th Edition approach of indexing them did remove some of the individuality, they still feel like so unique and are almost all a blast as the armies here show.
Love this game mode but the double turn feels so so brutal. 2 rounds of grapeshot to the head without being able to move? In the wise words of Todd Howard, 'It just works."
The double turn can be a bit brutal, it does have a bit of a balancing factor in not being able to draw additional Battle Tactics in Spearhead. In a full size game it prevents Battle Tactics at all which is really nice
Great game with some unlucky rolls. Just a point to note in AOS D3 mortals are scored on the result of the D3 so basically 1 and 2's always fail and you can only deal 2 or 3 mortal wounds
