I love the analogy here. Most people will associate December with happy things like Christmas or snow days or hot chocolate, but in this it's put in a more negative light. It's a beautifully twisted, tragic explanation of depression and fighting against it. Well done as always guys, keep up the awesome work! ❤

As a December baby with depression for as long as I can recall, this song hits straight through the heart. It's always December in me, watching people live their lives as I look for a reason to live.

The feeling of something squeezing your chest whenever a certain thought comes by. Too much of it, you’ll sometimes think that you will have a heart disease soon, since it’s suffocating. You can’t go around tell other people about it or express such numbness for it’ll either trouble them or you’ll feel bad. You’re just there, not knowing what to do and is just breathing heavily. The coldness creeps on your feet- and the pain encompasses your heart.

I’m seriously stunned how well written y’all’s lyrics are. Just emotionally stunning.

Everyday feels like an endless struggle digging through and endless amount of snow and an infinite winter. Suffocating, exhausting, depressing. Sometimes I'd rather just rest and never wake up.

Look at you, surviving despite everything life has thrown at you. You're doing so well.

Every song either makes me feel like "Hell yeah I'm a badass that can fight an army" or "I need someone to hold me because I'm gonna cry like a fountain." And I love it every time.

While I do cry everytime I listen to your music it's kinda a good thing for me because it helps me feel something when I've been feeling completely numb and in pain at the same time. I resonate with this song. Depression has left me constantly drained of drive and will. I always feel this pain within that's similar to internal bleeding. However, there's no real injury. Because of that, I don't feel any other injuries or pain. It's almost like my body has become completely numb to it all. It is indeed the cruelest pain...

This is the GOAT of sad songs. I always liked December, and winter is my favorite season, but the meaning behind the lyrics hits deep. Depression gives a unique chill or cold feeling so the line about not escaping it because it's in your head is 100% accurate. Getting out of bed is very hard when you've lost your reason(s) for living. Thank you Citizen Sokdier for this masterpiece and all your music.

I’ve been going through some major medical issues for the past 6 years now and when I hear these songs they always hit starting when I found y’all and heard Would Anyone Care. Thank you for the beautiful messages.

My brother posted this song to Facebook which confused everyone because he normally never posted at all. No one ever reached out to him because we always assumed that he wanted to be left alone but the truth is that he was hurting inside. No one realized that him posting this song was his way of saying goodbye to everyone at once... Use this song as a reminder that people around you could be hurting and that you should always check on them because you never know if today will be the last day you see or hear from them. I regret not being there for him, I hate myself for it.

December 11th 2016, I lost my oldest brother. I miss him everyday and this song resonates more than I can explain.

It’s scary when I pretend I’m okay, but I can still relate to these songs… they speak words I could never say. I must thank my best friend for showing me this legend.

I honestly cannot explain how utterly beautiful this song is. From the first few lyrics that I saw on the preview on Instagram, I knew that it was going to be something special, but my goodness, when the chorus took over -- I'll admit I shed a few tears, and gasped so loudly. It was so moving, heartfelt, and something that I could tell was both incredibly personal, and wonderfully raw. I do believe that you've certainly outdone yourself with this one, Citizen Solider. This is truly one of my very favorite ones of your newest songs, and it has truly hit all of the marks. It gave me so much inspiration, and so much feeling, and I just want you to know that I appreciate this song more than you realize. It's so good, and you should be *proud* of putting out something that tells a difficult story, but tells a good message as well. Really love this.
