Citroen C4 grand picasso intercooler removal and clean.
In this video I detail how to remove and clean the intercooler in a 1.6 hdi Citroen C4 Grand Picasso. I hope this helps.
Hello everyone interested enough in this channel to visit here.
I'm just a single Dad whose son wanted his own RU-vid channel to try and make some money because, quite frankly, we're pretty poor. Sadface.
But we're really happy together and I'd do anything for him, including making all sorts of random videos to upload to RU-vid.
As such there's going to be games, reviews of various things and, as I generally can't afford to pay to get things fixed, anything I'm repairing that I can video I'll also upload.

Do you have oil leaking from the throttle body above the intercooler?

Not that I'm aware of. Did you spot something in the video? Because the engine crankcase pressure vents into the air intake, (after the air filter), oil mist is blown through the turbo, the intercooler, the throttle body and into the combustion chamber. Any joint not completely sealed, (aside from loosing efficiency), could leak oil.

@@bradlong7232 Firstly, Happy New Year 🎉 Now, if, from the front of the car, you look at the exhaust rocker cover, on the right is a pipe that comes out and into the air intake pipe. This is the pipe leading to the turbo mentioned above and why the intercooler can collect oil. But as I said it blows through the whole intake from there. If you undid the pipe entering the throttle body, cleaned the joining surfaces with some spray carb or brake cleaner, and refitted as tight as possible this might stop the leak. I wouldn't recommend it but a thin smear of silicone sealant around the joint before reassembly would fill any minor paths the oil was leaking from. Best of luck. 👍
