If you think about giving it a go yourself, have a watch to see how easy it is.......
Front pads and discs supplied by Euro Car Parts, i opted for Brembo as they are a good brand and comes with all the bolts & pad clips where other brands don't.
I got these on an Easter deal online using their online discount code.
Pads 10154580A £26.64
Discs 10473514A £50.04
Part numbers are for 1.6HDI D-Sport and prices are with the online discount code at time.
Tightening Torques:
Brake Carrier to hub T55 105nm
Brake Caliper to carrier 13mm 30nm
Road Wheels 17mm 110nm

When you push the piston back do.you need to open the fluid reservoir?

A lot of people say yes, and there's also alot that say it doesn't matter..... I normally do as it can damage the seals in the master cylinder if the excess pressure isn't released. I have never had one fail but I don't want to be stuck at the weekend or an evening with all the parts shops closed....

Ignore his reply because his reply is false information.There is no excess pressure in the reservoir. He lies. You can tell he is an internet mechanic and not a trained one. No trained mechanic would use tools this way or the process he used.

I'm looking to buy this car 2010-2011-2012 which one you recommend me?petrol or diesel?which one is more reliable? and which hp?

This one is the 1.6 diesel d-sport, when the injectors went it cost me nearly £1k just to put it in perspective but a really nice car, maybe the 1.6thp is another option,

I have the 2010 petrol and it is great. Only had it a few weeks so can’t say much about long term reliability but honestly haven’t heard the best. I’d say you’re better off buying from a dealer and getting a warranty because the parts that tend to go on these can get expensive. If you get one make sure it has had timing chain/water pump changed around 80 miles if no warranty, as they’ll go between 80-100k

Get the 1.6hdi, while sure the injectors can be expensive. The thp petrol engine is unreliable and has many instances on the ds3 where the engine blows up. Normally from lack of maintenance but I'd just personally avoid it. Either get purtech or hdi

Watch out if it's got adblue because that can cost £2.5k . Tank/injector/pipe etc. My daughter's did last year. Half the value of the car. Bad fault not just on this model as the adblue system is generic
