Citroen XM left hand display repair 

I just fixed my display ! :) 100% of pixels, it took me less than 45 minutes. thank-you for this video.

WARNING! This instruction describes a process which is extremely cumbersome and can easily damage your display! The reason: The mentioned glue has conductive qualities. It has been silkscreened into rows of very tiny rectangles on the foil of the display before factory assembly. Splitting the connection up and / or cleaning the contacts only reduces connectivity. I personally had a display on which only a few lines where missing and hoped to improve on that. All my attempts have however failed, in spite of the fact that I worked extremely carefull. The only way to fully re-establish connectivity would be to renew the glue but even if one could find the right type it is impossible to properly refill all the tiny individual connecting points without creating bridges between them. So now my display has become worthless piece of junk. Hail to the author of this video for that! :-(

Good idea :) you clean that vid 96% alcohol and pencil om contacts, man you genius! I can't wait till i try to fix my one. I hope it works.

Can you use silver conductive lacquer instead of a pencil?

I was a bit sceptic and still am, because I actually now have LESS working pixels. I will re-do it tomorrow and see if I can get it done better
