Yeah she has the touch of you are a Frgrance lover like many of us the way a person describes a fragrance is addictive and entices you to run out and get it ASAP outstanding job of reviewing fragrances
My mom loves citrus fragances and I don’t know many of them since I don’t use these type of scents that much, so this was like watching a perfect gift guide 😳 thanks for all the recommendations Josephine!
I googled finger limes and now I want finger limes... AND Eau de Citron Noir. But mostly the finger limes.... BTW, I like how you "salt bae'd" with your hand while you were describing Eau de Citron Noir. LOL
Bohemian Lime has been on my to try list for a while. Guerlain Pamplelune is a great citrus stunning mouthwatering natural authentic grapefruit scent, probably the best grapefruit perfume I have smelt....also add Bergamote 22 by Le Labo to the list....a summer staple 🌞
I bought Eau de Citron Noir and ALLURE HOMME because of you ! :D Now I'm heading out for V. Pamplemousse. You have a great taste for fragrances! Thanks a lot Jus !
I took your recommendation and purchased 'Still Life in Rio' it is now my absolute favorite Summer scent. I frequently get asked what I am wearing and because I love it I sometimes say "it was a sample given to me, I don't know what it is' because I want this all to myself. The scent itself to me, is definitely mandarin orange, lemon, maybe a little grapefruit and definitely ginger. Thank you again and I highly recommend this for daytime, casual, Summer.
I was hunting for a very fresh )) citrus smell for this hot summer in Belgium (yes it is not Asia at all but we had 38!! this July🤦🏼♀️) and I did try Bohemian lime and I did like it! But I still ended up buing Pomelo Paradise by Atelier Cologne.😃 Thank you for new fragrance ideas ! Now I need to try Memo.)) ❤️
Oh that's such a nice choice the Pomelo Paradise. I know the temperature is crazy right now in Europe! It's meant to cool down again over the weekend though
Ahhh Josephine I've had Bohemian lime on my maybe list. My wallet thanks you again. Lol. BTW that was such a beautiful photo of you and the water on the background.
Citrus fragrances I enjoy wearing: Chanel Allure Homme Edition Blanche EDP Terre de Hermes (EDT and Parfum) Guerlain L'Homme Ideal Cologne Caron Pour un Homme Sport Zara Vibrant Leather EDP
Interesting fact. Jannat by Memo, the inspiration was to recreate the smell of Paradise. They used the Arabic word for Paradise, Jannat (pronounced Jun-nath)
Salut Joséphine, Beau travail. J'ai récemment découvert Mediterraneo de Carthusia. Un mélange très intéressant de bergamote, citron vert et thé vert, qui donne une composition vraiment rafraîchissante ( à l'image d'une thé glacé )
Great list Josephine! I have a few of the fragrances on your list, including Still Life by Olfactive Studios. A few of my fresh favourites: Creed Jardin Di Amalfi, MFK's Petit Matin, and Dior Homme Eau.
Really great diverse list ! Jannat sounds like a winner . . . In the Summer, I often reach for Dior Homme Sport (2012) along with Al Haramain Neroli Canvas . . . both work really well during the day or evening. Thanks so much for the heads up on some new freshies ! :D
Concerning Blanc Polychrome, people on fragrantica say it is very similar to Acqua Viva. Dua Perfumes makes a clone of Acqua Viva called Acqua Solaris for around $50-60 with good performance and it smells exactly the same as the OG.
I submit my summer favorites at your discretion... Casamorati Mefisto | Parfums de la Bastide Espliège | Roja Elysium PC | Roja Oceania | Profvmvm Roma Aqcua Viva | Byredo Sundazed | Bond #9 Scent of Peace | Escentric 04 | PdM Sedley | Heretic Dirty Lemon | D&G Light Blue Living Stromboli | Clean Reserve Citron Fig | Chanel Allure Blanche Edition (spring). And thanks to you, Hermes Citron Noir 😊 Great cheapies: Kenneth Cole Reaction | Lacoste Essential | Karl Lagerfeld Bois de Vetiver
Australian finger lime smells like a mix of lime and orange to me - not too strong. You would like the rest of their fragrances. ❤ from an Australian subscriber
Today I wore Zest from Alexandria and slowly I perceived my own aroma and had to smell more and more. I live in dry arid summer weather... and I am barely discovering citrus!
Personally I wouldn't call D&G Light Blue Intense a "citrus" fragrance. Like you said it's more of a fresh/aquatic type of fragrance and I'm picking these attributes far more than any citrusy notes, although your nose is surely better trained than mine. In fact, I don't really enjoy the fragrance until after the first hour, that's when the fragrance begins smelling really great, and that's also when the aquatic notes kick in for me. Other than that, great video!
I actually do not like D&G Light Blue Intense, just mentioned this in another video from today also featuring this fragrance. Have had two samples for some time, tried them a couple times both on my skin and on paper, don't like the smell yet in either one. Something in it literally smells slightly foul/fishy to me.
@@raulsaavedra709 I do agree to some extent with your statement. I don't like the initial hour because it smells synthetic, so the foul word you used is sort of accurate. I haven't picked "fishy" smell from it but my brother commented once that word (it hurt me :/ ). It could have something with the skin chemistry to do. I usually get the best of it when applying it after shower. On paper it smells slightly better actually imo. But as I said, after the one hour mark or so I dig the smell. I bought my dad the new Acqua di Gio, I prefer that over my LBI.
@@paulgoc10 Maybe it's my nose rather than skin chemistry, not sure, because it bothers me exactly the same from paper as from my skin. Also I get that from the very beginning till after more than half hour drydown, it's always there. (Well some other skins might counter that aspect maybe, who knows.) In any case after half hour I never waited any longer, have either just thrown the paper, or washed-forced it out of my skin.
That foul fishy type of smell may come from an ingredient called calone. I get a lot of that in D&G intense, more so than in the original EDT. Calone is a synthetic molecule that gives fragrances that distinct marine feel. It's very very prominent to my nose in D&G intense but after a few hours wear it tends to mellow down and leave place for clean musks to settle in.
@@jusderose Thanks for that detailed clarification! Definitely D&G Intense must have a lot of calone then. I just checked and Cool Water also has calone, but it has never bothered me that way there.
Good news people. Olfactive Studio - Still life in Rio should be available by the end of October. the reason for the delay in production is.... the aluminium caps... !!! Joséphine je vais faire faillite à cause de toi :))
Love your videos. I really do. But the fragrances are so niche and hard to find in Australia - oh and they are very expensive and a risk to blind buy. Just making a comment. I still think you're really fabulous!
I tried Eau de Citron Noir in Paris this month but did not fall for it. I found it to be too light and not woodsy enough. I wish Hermes kept the original BelAmi i rocked in the 80's.
Ohhhh Josephine 😳 I hate you and I love you at the same time 😠😩... too difficult to choose one or some of them... I love your chanel and I love you for the work that you do with the fragances, still saving to get Toy Boy 😑, I will have to put in my list this video, right now I wear mugler cologne for the high heat, but I need one of your list to mix it with mugler in different days. Just like a note, I saw a video where the person recomend to use a lemon in all your body and you will have a great lemon aroma all day, sounds interesting, maybe can be combined with some oil and alcohol to make your own house made ftagance 😆. Fantastic video princess I like to know about "new" fragances, you are the only one in you tube that explore and show them, not keeping talking from the same brands that the others do 💖🤙💐
Thank you for your kind comment, really appreciate your support! I really like Mugler cologne, it's such a timeless summer staple. Love the soapy and musky clean feeling it leaves on skin.
I tested Hermes Eau de Citron Noir two times in the past two weeks, it smells unique and interesting, but performance is weak, it works ok for 3 maximum 4 hours on my skin, it would be ok if this would cost like Zara fragrances, but Hermes is a bit pricey😌my best citrus fragrance is John Varvatos Artisan Pure👌
Jus de Rose, trust me, they are very good: Aenotus is the best yuzo i’ve ever tried, and Champ d’Influence is a citrus, barber fougere with oud in the final. In my opinion they are amazing!
Hi Josephine, just wondering if you wear the D&G intense homme or femme? How different are the two? I use the femme but you made the men's sound even better than the women's. Curious to hear your thought! Love from Korea♡
Hi Tiiffany, I haven't tried the feminine intense version, only the original. Between the original and the intense homme I like both equally, they offer different styles.
Great list ! Agree with many of them. If it was a top 10, I'd just add ADP Bergamotto di Calabria and TF eau de Soleil Blanc. Would you say Still Life in Rio is better than Creed VIW ?
Still Life is totally different so can't compare the two directly. I would have them both haha! Still Life in Rio is more juicy & fruity than VIW and maybe a little more refreshing.
@@jusderose thanks ! You just left me more intrigued about Still life in Rio, definitely gonna check it out ! Stay safe Josephine, greetings from Mexico ✋🏻
That's so great to hear. I prefer Still Life in Rio after comparing the two together. They are very very similar but Still Life in Rio has that coconut water note that super nice
