Remember guys, her taste is her taste not yours. So don’t blind buy and test the fragrance. Everytime I ask girls wich one they like they always have a different opinion.
@@jackoarnhem7551 they often like fresh and safe scents. One time i ask some women if they prefer Ombre Nomade or Prada Dark light. They all hated the oud note and liked Prada more. And it’s also just on paper. On your skin and in the air it’s a completely different story.
The only “problem” is that we all have different tastes and preferences, you just cannot be objective because what one says is wonderful, the other can think is junk. This is why i tend to avoid reviews and especially when you get a bombardment on a certain fragrance eg sauvage elixir, which i intensely dislike BTW. I will not be led. I have to be led by my own preferences and not because i think that what i wear will garner compliments. I often wear fragrances to lift my mood. Another example, Chanel Bleu eau de parfum is another that i just do not get the hype, it does not last log, even on well moisturised skin and it is forgettable due to it’s sweet and cloying nature, in the first hour. I did enjoy viewing this though
wear fragrances for yourself. not other people. you dont want to become extrinsically motivated when wearing a scent because like some others in the comments have mentioned attraction is complex. wear a fragrance because you love how you smell wearing it.
Givenchy Gentleman Boisee is a fantastic fragrance. I get a lot of compliments overall from that bottle and you're absolutely right, my girlfriend literally buries her head into me when we're watching shows when I have it on. My favourite out of the Givenchy line.
I’ve been watching Demi since way back when she was doing makeup videos (I have two daughters and back then would have to give the okay on watched content). This woman has continued become more beautiful and confident (it shows) over the years. Happy to see her much deserved success. Incidentally, I’ve had Herod for several years and have had some REALLY good times while wearing it.
@@kobitsakisI need to top it up after roughly 4 hours. Need to spray more as well but I love it! You could possibly wear it every day to work, it is subtle and not at all "in your face" kind of frag.
I’ve worn 6 of theses fragrances: Naxos, Herod, Bleu de Chanel, Givenchy, Intoxicated, Tuxedo. As well as dozens of others from Paco Rabbane to Initio, Mancera to Tom Ford. In 35 plus years the only colognes I’ve ever received a compliment, or someone ask me what I was wearing, are: Dior- Fahrenheit Clinique- Happy Gucci- Guilty (provided they smell it in the 1hr before it vanishes) Versace- Eros Dior- Savauge Elixir CH- Bad Boy YSL- La nuit de Lahomme (see Gucci guilty) PDM- Layton PDM- Layton Exclusif (just had a lady tell me it’s the most intoxicating thing she’s ever smelled) And that’s it. I am intrigued a bit from the Basso scent profile and I think I’m going to try that one out.
I totally agree with the layton exclusive I work in a hotel and hear the oh you smell nice".while helping a guest set up an event the woman had asked me to please write down what it was I was wearing she said it was so nice it was making her feel certain way with a wink and I'm like ok lady but she loved it on me
I feel good! I have 5 of these fragrances. The one I can’t stop wearing is Naxos. If there was only one I could pick for the rest of my life Naxos would be it.
@mr.habibbi3158 i think a normal person would say: "it smells spicey, warm, vanilla and musky" but as an enthusiast...i would say its important to put emphasis on the Amber, and if you know how amber works in Fragrance then youll understand that amber mixes into your skin and projects a unique musk off of everybody, and its basically this unique musk, mixed with a mature rich vanilla and a lavender similar to the lavendar in "Stronger with you".
My holy grail: naxos Narciso rodriguez bleu noir D&g pour homme Renaissance by xerjoff Bleu de chanel parfum Terre d'hermes Elysium by roja d&g the one eap Green irish tweed by creed.
I just wanted to say thank you! I have never blind bought a fragrance before…but I just received my bottle of Grand Soir. I knew I’d like it because I really enjoy amber scents. This fragrance is amazing! I sprayed it on my arm, let it dry, smelled and I yelled “oh my goodness”! I didn’t think anything would top my favorite (and sadly discontinued) TF Amber Absolute. This just did. It’s amazing.
Layton would have been my PDM pick. My hubs has Herod too and they are both awesome! We discovered them because of you! You're the best! I am ordering the Givenchy now.
Bleu de Chanel, and PDM Herod are my go to fragrances. I wear Herod from time to time during the winter and my girlfriend loves it! She also loves it when I'm wearing Bleu de Chanel.😊
My top 5 on a man (Demi helped with most 😅) 1) YSL Tuxedo 🤵♂️ 2) Hermes Eau de citron 3) Givenchy Gentleman Boise 4) Le Labo Another 13 5) La Nuit de l’homme electrique
Falcon leather was probably the most strong smelling off the spray I've ever tried, and I can see it being an either love it or hate it because of how absolutely overpowering it is. If I ever use it again, I'm going to spray once on an undershirt a couple hours before I put it on. I don't hate it, though. I still easily smell it on the jacket I wore yesterday.
Young Lady, you know what you are talking about! Don’t understand how anybody can have a holy grail list without African Leather in it. Perfect indeed.
Curly and Demi know what they’re talking about saving up for a full bottle of Layton and looking for other ideas though I also absolutely love percival
The only one I own form this list is Gentleman Boisee, and I totally agree with Demi! For intimate dates Boisee is the perfect choice , specially because the underlying cocoa note which is delicious! It's not overly sweet but rather the type of cocoa power used in cake baking and other desserts. As she well said, you need to overspray a bit to get the desired duration. In closed spaces with air conditioning though, you will get definitely noticed. For a romantic date, I would go light on the trigger, maybe 6 sprays maximum. I keep track of all the compliments I get from every fragrance in my collection, and Boisee is on the second spot only below Sauvage (dont use Sauvage for dates though! lol)
Most of these are very pricey, but a few months ago I found a deal on African Leather and WOW!! By far my favorite - I'm very happy I watched until the end.
Demi, if the room you’re filming in doesn’t have carpet you should put some rugs down and even hang some fabric on the walls. It will reduce the sound reflecting like it is. If you clap your hands you will hear it reflect.
Dear Demi I hope you are doing well and get to see this comment,I just wanted to say thank you for your excellent taste on fragrances,I've ordered a few of your recommendations and......OH....MY GOD!!! These are heavenly, babycat is amazing and I can go on for a long time with the comments.❤
Thanks again, Demi. I love Perfect Oud and Tuxedo. I also really like Naxos but it kinda smells like Play-Doh to me. Look forward to trying Falcon Leather.
I own BDC (Parfum though, not EDP), Herod & Gentleman EDP Boise & I completely agree, all absolute stunners. I've been a big fan of yours ever since you (and Justin Copeland) introduced me to Varvatos Vintage as nobody else was talking about it.
@@tbsnashe8541 absolutly, I noticed that the quality of his recomendations is far away from the most of the others, and I'm not fan just staring a fact, When I started I simply don't like her recomendations but as my nose develops I progressively notice how her recomendations are simply top tier
wow Demy ! you look fantastic ! that sun toasted skin tan is making you even more wow . good selection. i only know 4 of them but i know i can trust your nose . it's funny that you talk about Givenchy Gentlemen boisée because, i bought it after watching the very same video you mentionned with Michella . when i saw your reaction , that was it ! and ooooh that was a good blind buy . i'm really in love with this one too . thanks Demy . 👍
I've got BDC in the EDT, EDP and Parfum but I still can't get the hype with this, the smell is very nice, but the scent doesn't last, doesn't project and is overpriced for me. Trust me I've tried, but once I've finished my bottles I won't be replacing any of them.
i love that amouage didnt make the cut though in this list. i have 2 amouage lines and they get as many compliments as they are divisive it takes a lot for people to get used to how aggressive some of their formulations are
Dior - Fahrenheit Bleu de Chanel EDP NR Bleu Noir EDP VR Spicebomb extreme Givenchy Gentleman Boisee Versace Eros Flame EDP Still building my collection
i have been watching a lot of your videos lately and wow you post a lot of luxurious colognes i've never heard of. most classiest and elegant woman on RU-vid imo discuss and review fragrances. I would say that Layton and Naxos are top for me. I have to pick up the Tuxedo.
Third time in a week I've heard of this fragrance, Minuit Et Demi. I am looking forward to its arrival. Biased or not, you chose eight fragrances I have in my collection..
Hello Demi. Great video as usual. Just bought Givenchy edp boisée at my local store. It smells very classic, smooth and sexy at the time. Perfect as you mentioned for chill or date nights 😉
If you want another banger holy grail recommendation, that is within that Naxos DNA, the old discontinued "Opium pour homme EDP" by Yves Saint Laurent is also a must try.
I’ve owned Chanel Bleu. Never got a compliment. I think bc it’s so popular. Every guy has it. I’m interested in the YSL Tuxedo. I’m thinking of getting a sample spray.
A coworker of mine wears it for the office. I would agree with you, IMO its just a mass appealing citrusy fragrance, nothing unique about it. But well, to each their own.
Projection is how far away it smells to one, longevity is the length of time it lasts. Also, using fancy words doesn’t work, like “wearable”, well you would hope so that you can wear it.
amazing for TUXEDO, I have several fragrance collections, but when I wear a tuxedo, my girl always kisses this body and says the perfume I use makes her addicted👊
I love the passion you convey in your reviews and recommendations. The Sniff app is pretty slick too. Any chance the Zaharoff items will make it onto the app?
Naxos is sickly sweet IMO, I don’t get the hype and amount of positive reviews. I guess I am the minority. I am into ambers so 40 knots is more my vibe. I also Love Tuxedo and adore Herod!
when she says intoxicating, it really is intoxicating for women. I tried Hugo Boss Intense recommendations a few years ago. and it completely intoxicating. can't wait to try givanchy boisee
Hi , new in the community , after running out of my favourite fragrance of all time ( Le Male ) I decided to make a “ small “ collection of 10 , started to watch some videos and going to the fragance shop to try and test , some I hated it ( tobacco and whiskey mainly ) 3 I completed fell in love at the first sniff ( ombré leather Tom Ford ; OUD Wood Tom Ford ; Dior Savage Elixir ) I’ll tell the list I ended up going for ( the ✅ ones are the ones I bought this week ) Couldn’t make a list of 10 so i stop it on 15 💪🏽 Ps : Dior Homme Intense I didn’t like it at first but you guys ( YTers ) keep on recommending it so I gave it a proper test with a sample , and … yup 👇🏽 AQUA : KENZO EDP PROFONDO LIGHT BLUE INTENSE ✅ SIGNATURE : MONTBLANC EXPLORER LE MALE LE PARFUM ✅ Le MALE ✅ VERSATILE : BLUE DE CHANEL EDP ALLURE HOME SPORT EXTREME ISL EDP STRONG: SAVAGE ELIXIR DIOR HOMME INTENSE GENTLEMAN BOISEÉ FORMAL: OMBRÉ LEATHER ✅ OUD WOOD RULE OF 72
Not a fan of BdC line, but the EDP would be the safest from them, it's basically just smooth babypowder, so that's why I prefer the more sexy Chanel Allure line with that Tonka, Mandarine combo.
Interesting Falcon Leather....I sampled it before and found it a bit tame. Picked up Encen Suave instead. Love the rest of the recommendations...leather, oud and saffron are among my favorite notes in perfumery
The Givenchy Gentleman line is low-key replacing, scent for scent, the Dior Homme line. Not in exact replicas, but with modernized more youthful respective inspirations
qué dientes más perfectos! Perfectamente colocados, blanquísimos. Está claro que es muy guapa por completo, pero me llama mucho la atención una dentadura tan perfecta
Thanks... Just a tip, think about getting those foam sound tiles for your side walls or ceilings because of the tunnel sound of your voice on your video ;-) Cheers!
I get what the guy above is saying but this is a pretty good list. The only surprise (that I continue to be surprised about as it concerns her) is how Pacific Rock Moss wasn’t included. That’s the first surprise. The second surprise is that she singled out just one of the Givenchy Gentlemen fragrances. I buy every one of them every year. I think that is the best flanker series ever. Not one is a dud. Other then that it was a pretty good list. I got like half of them. She recommended rive gauche a while ago and y’all know how hard that is to get. Luckily Dua has a clone of rive gauche and she was on the money with that and Vanille Havan. So when she recommends expensive ones you’re usually happy with your purchase. Her fragrance menuit et Demi is still a go-to pick for the strip club. Remember that her scent is a sillage scent. It smells okay on the hand but it’s meant to be scent in the air so don’t buy it and smell it on your hand and think you’re going to get it. When I first bought Menuit and Demi I thought it was just okay because it’s a sister fragrance to Oajan, Citizen Jack Absolute and other cinnamon like fragrances (not a clone of any just in the same realm). But when I went to the strip club and smelled it in the air I was amazed. And so we’re the girls. Now I’m on my fourth bottle. So… good job, good video.
18:20 I bought this fragrance after watching reviews of women where a niche section of women actually rated gentlemen boisée better than sauvage la nuit de l’homme etc. So this scent the edp version( don’t ever buy the edt version, I’ll tell you why) is something else it is Fahrenheit mixed with jack daniels. That whisky/rum smell with the hotness of Fahrenheit makes women crazy, in the edt version that rum/whiskey smell fades away while in the eel version, it stays. In a setting with women, being confident and wearing this will make her obsessed and I’m not even kidding and not these women who call it an obsession. Please note that this has to be carried and unlike sauvage, voyage etc won’t carry you, so definitely an advanced fragrances
