Thanks for the video! Conley was a saint for finding a way to move forward on the maps. Perhaps Necro/Frog who worked with Judges Guild in the past will step up and make it all happen like Troll Lords did to help fulfill the KS for GPS and get them over the finish line.
I've been told by multiple publishers that the cost to get CSIO to print is too high for them to cover. Marmoreal Tomb still had much of its funds left for the Trolls to rely upon, it needed man hours and leadership, which the Trolls provided.
I didn't know about this one, but have become very choosey in my KS backing. You simply have no recourse if the project falls through. KS washes their hands and offers no protection to paying customers.
I agree with the posters here. It’s too bad. This never came to fruition because the original city state is in my opinion the greatest supplement ever made. Having said that, not sure if even this new one could have lived up to my expectations.
I'm out $250 on this KS. I've looked at the products they put out, and all they are doing is re-printing old material without any updates. They're creatively empty. I picked up Necromancer Games CSotIO and Wilderlands books and box set, both digital (before DriveThruRPG removed them) and physical on eBay a year or so before this KS. They're extremely well done and could be easily used with any system. And are much better than anything the current Judge's Guild could do.
I'd maybe try the refund request, but ugh, it was so long ago I'm not sure they could even refund the card. Plus it sounds like he may be having some mental troubles. Reminds me of my uncle who is deteriorating rapidly due to Alzheimer's disease.
I backed this fiasco at one of the upper tiers. JG seemed like it would be a sure thing, but no. Rob Conley was a saint and provided maps and other materials to backers some time ago, but I'll never pay a dime for anything JG ever again.
Gee im trying to think back on it and didnt a bunch of people cancel this dude? I mean why would they finish if you all hate the guy? Its like your just provoking the dude. If i recall you were one of the first to condemn the guy for his free speech.
I said what I said on the matter and still find it unacceptable. And keep in mind that this is not the only issue at the time. The KS was in trouble business wise for several years before I stepped in and tried to help salvage it.
@@robertsconley Fair enough. That is your opinion, and your entitled to it. I find a better way to prove someone wrong on a topic would be to just prove them wrong. In this day and age with the way this world is going, it seems down is up and up is down. After this happened people wonder why the dude disappeared? Was this a new posting on the KS page, or was it an old one? This just felt like kickin a dude when hes down, hence my comment. I really dont know the entire beef or the whole story, but I really dont like cancel culture.
@xaxzander4633 This was years late before any Canceling occurred. Iirr it was also Jr that was "canceled" but this KS was created and not fulfilled by his son before he got involved.

Furthermore, they are currently selling physical copies of the maps that they owe the backers on their current storefront. Not the ones I did but the other version made by the other cartographer that was part of the project. So the overall issue with the kickstarter is still ongoing.
