Civ 6 AI Only Battle: Classical Era Unique Units Deathmatch

Cunning maneuvers, carefully planned strategies, self-learning algorithms! None of these you will see in this battle. Only raw power, pure adrenaline, and irrational movements. These legendary warriors from the Classical Era were the greatest once; now they're in Civilization 6!
It's a free-for-all battle, every leader/civ in war with each other. I used the latest version of Civilization VI: Gathering Storm with all other DLC & Expansion Packs for this battle.

They just are a very weak Unit. Even with the 2for1 discount it might arguably be better to just spend the production on melee horsemen Edit: just looked it up again. The fact, that they dont upgrade until field cannons means except for era score youre probably just better off spending that production on archer even

The horseman had ADHD or something. It couldn't concentrate on one unit and attempted to yolo the other units.

Of course the Elephant won, is a huge ELEPHANT whit armor and arrow dudes!!! also very "smart" of the AI to let the Legionares took the spearmen first

@@rexisnox577 Unique unit is assigned to the civ, not the leader (I think Teddy Roosevelt is the only exception), the leader changes only his unique skill. Certainly, Chandragupta makes Varu more killy ^^'

@@Johann_Gambolputty_of_Ulm Many leaders have unique units (Victoria, Alexander, Simon Bolivar, when a civ have 2 unique units the leader have one) so it's not just the civ. Having a unique unit is just a leader/civ bonus like others.

The unit that statistically should have won is the Maori Toa with the highest combat strength of 40 (tied with the Varu and Legion), a -5 penalty to adjacent enemies (same as the Varu) and the ability to construct a defensive improvement (like the Legion)

smaller map would probably do better with so few units, AI is bit too dumb and runs around too much for no reason

I've never played Persia, but the Immortal never had a chance. Either that or the AI new they needed to take out the Immortals early.

Immortals are actually really good. They are slightly weaker than a swordsmen but have the ranged attack of an Archer. Still, in close quarters like that with no support it was never gonna end well.
