The whole CKY/Bam/Skating scene around 2003 are some of my favorite memories of all time. I truly felt like I had broken out of the mold of programmed society, and had delved into something unique and free.
@@swearenginl87 Nah, I stopped skating around probably 18 or 19. I bought a skateboard a couple years ago, and I could still do a few basic tricks. Then racked my shin on a kickflip or something and it took like 1.5 months to heal, I realized I'm getting too old lol
I heard about the band from watching the old Cky videos and the shopping cart skit. Then I found out Jess is Bams brother so on. I actually looked up to Bam when I was a kid. Pro skater had a Lambo and did funny pranks to his friends. Lol
After watching the new Jacka$$, I miss him and Ryan Dunn after years of just thinking he's a spoiled little jerk. Bam would have been one of the most popular people in the world if his peak was during the social media age. This guy was mega popular.
CKY was and always has been Deron Miller as the creative and driving force. The mans riffs, lyrics and vocals were just unique. Pity that the "CKY" we have now are just not the same.
lol deron wrote 20 riffs in 1996 and hasn't done anything notable since besides be a douchebag. his new shit (not those old riffs he keeps using) sucks shit. ever check out that atrocity Acoustified? or do you need another michael jackson cover? i'm not saying cky right now is great but lets at least keep it real here.
While true, Deron is 100% at fault for this. Dude has always been the center of every controversy and is generally regarded as the most insufferable asshole to everyone in every band he's been in. It's no surprise he now plays with Malevolent Creation, a band headed by unapologetic racists. Only they can put up with his bullshit.
Tristan when you get here I’ll be here at the house if I need anything else I’ll just do that again and then I will be home in the sun and I love it lol I hate that too much but I’m just tired and I hate that too lol I just got off my bed too lol lol I’m so sorry sorry bud lol I just got off the work lol I just woke you buddy I’ll text you when I’m ready for bed lol I just woke you buddy I’m just thinking about you and I hope you’re having fun too baby love mommy bye buddy holly mama mommy daddy mama mommy mama nana mommy daddy mama mommy daddy daddy mommy daddy nana mommy daddy daddy mommy daddy nana daddy mommy mommy mama mommy mommy nana daddy mommy daddy nana daddy daddy mama mama nana daddy mama mommy daddy daddy mama mama nana mama mommy daddy mama mommy mama nana daddy mama mommy mommy mama mommy nana mommy mommy nana nana mommy mommy hi 👋 mama mommy mama princess 👸 princess mama mommy daddy mommy mama mommy daddy daddy mama mommy mommy mama mommy nana daddy daddy mama mommy mommy mama mommy princess mommy mommy daddy mama mama nana mommy mommy daddy daddy mommy daddy nana daddy mommy daddy daddy mommy
Stuff like this and songs that offer really interesting lyric interpretation is like a fresh breath of air. I like to think this ones about two siamese twins who are, well, attached by the hip. One twin mercilessly bullies the other, so after years of putting up with his bullshit, the other twin decides to chop him off, possibly killing the first twin or even both of them in the process.
Funny thing about CKY was that they had like ALL hits or bad ass songs on their CDs. NO other band has ever done that IMO. I was a fan since 96... Sadly the ex got rid of all my fking CDs i'm 43 trying to get my collection back!
Aaaah I see. Married life, as well as having children, is still an awesome way to go. What you lost skateboarding, you gained by having a family. Maybe your kids will get in to it? Anyway, thanks for the civil response man. I wasn't being pretentious, and genuinely like to see people succeed. Kudos on getting what many people dream of. You rock.
CKY was one of those bands that had it together musically, but their lyrics and vocals undid everything they did with their instruments. I always liked their riffs and drums.
I wish BAM could get help ,when I was a boy I use to watch him on TV an wanted to be like him soo bad but now I hate seeing one of my Heros fall from Grace ,as a community I wish we could help him.
About Shout out to my home town philly. Even thou this band was from West Chester but heyy Saw them on Halloween 03" and met them in south street The next day for meet and greet and actually fell on chads lap!! So much fun. Bam and the fam was there
Im so attached to cky, jackass, and all of the shows bam makes like viva la bam, i could watch it all the time, its all i care about, when ryan dunn died, i cried like hell, it was like my friend dieing
+Brian Burks Mustaine, Vai, Malmsteen. Yeah, all great guitarists, but very predictable picks. Good for people who like to drop names and look cool without leaving their "music safezone". As far as i'm concerned, I'll stick to cKy as long as i have air in my lungs, even if someone who clearly doesn't know what he is talking about defines them as gay, thank you very much.
@GTAkaffee LOl, yes they will. don't get me wrong, i'm a cky fan since the vol. 1 and videos (not jackass) days, but unless Deron gets his act together, Cky are months away of having their own Vh1 "Behind the music" episode
