I grew up listening to this as a kid in the 1980's. My brother and I would lie down on the couch in the living room, Christmas tree lights on, room lights off, and listen. And it was so relaxing, that we hardly ever made it to the end without falling asleep. To this day, we still listen once a year and joke with eachother about how far through we made it this time. It's a precious gift, a stellar Chrismas memory we can still relive annually now in our own homes, with our own families. Thanks for sharing it here.
I listened to it every night as a small child, my bedtime story parents didn't have to read. As adult 39 as of writing, I listen to it when I have trouble sleeping. Works every time never make it to the end
We borrowed this as a record from the library, created a cassette tape, managed to upload it as a .CDA file (old school), and then coverted to an MP3 and over the years I'd lost the original name of the narrator! Right now as happy tears are making it hard for me to see, I've found the original again! I can't wait to share this with my kids and continue this family tradition!
Wow, I grew up on this! It’s so lovely to hear again... It brings back such magical memories tucked into my cosy bed with a heating blanket and the snow blowing outside! Thanks for posting this!!
I just love listening to the music from the nutcracker story because it helps put me to sleep. I always listen to it even when it's not during Christmastime
I love any version of this story. Except one. But nonetheless I truly believe in the story. I even have a nutcracker of my own that feel that he’s really a handsome prince waiting to be set free.
