It's that time of the year again.
My nephew gets a Christmas story, as he's a couple of hours drive away, I record it for him - and let's be honest, he's only little, so he's not really listening and is just going to fall asleep, but it's nice to try to help with these things.
Not really the regular side of the channel, but hey it's Christmas!
One of "classic Christmas Stories" but often only seen in the context of Tchaikovsky's ballet The Nutcracker
The next part will be released tomorrow - oh and be warned, I didn't realise until I was quite far into the recording - The Nutcracker very much isn't your Disney type fairy story - people are LITERALLY going to lose their heads in this book!

One of my favorite Christmas stories. I read this all the way back when I was a kid, before I even knew that the ballet adaptation existed. I've seen many versions of the ballet, and loved most of them, but it's just not the same as the actual Nutcracker story.

Amazing video for the best time of the year. I wish it could be Christmas the whole year. Unfortunately, here in Brazil the Christmas is in the summer and my childhood dream its to see Christmas in a snowy winter :)

Interesting experimentation with the camera angle changes at the beginning. Personally, I find that makes the video seem like one of those super fast attention grabbing youtube videos which doesn't feel like it fits the theme of quietly reading a book. Also, another possible improvement would be a crackling fire, even if there isn't one in your house, editing it in somehow or perhaps just the audio would really add to the relaxation of this video. Hopefully, this is suitably constructive criticism and helps you make even better book reading videos!

Honestly the speed of work. I’ve found a much faster way of doing multi cam - although havnt quite get the angles right yet I’m having to set up all the cameras myself, so it can be hard to set, go and sit, and just hope they are pointing the right way

Yes I’ve filmed projects alone too and having another pair of eyes can really help! Surely you’ve got a buddy who would love to help?
