What a magnificent job you have done...from the trash to the ballroom...this is so stunning! You have made a beautiful up cycled piece...I love how you created this step by step finding more and more interesting additions as you went along...absolutely stunning...
I did try it with a very stiff bristle brush but it wasn't working. I was worried that a wire brush would take too much off on such a thin layer of clay, but I'll definitely try it next time I make anything with tree branches in
Omggggg I love this already and I'm only 5 secs in 🤣🤣🤣 this is so exciting ... okay back to the video .. Ohhhh I love love love this so much .. the bark is amazing and the way you darkened up that IVY was genius 😍😍 Absolutely fabulous Mary 😍😍 Thank you so much for joining in with the collaboration ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much for watching and commenting Christine, I'm so happy you like it :) Thank you so much for subscribing - there is a big Halloween project video coming very soon!
That's a really good idea. I usually add scrunched up foil around armature wire to bulk out a shape before going over the top, but I just didn't think of doing it for this!
It looks amazing! The details are really showing with the paint and the few sneaky hotglue strings looks like spiderwebs that add to it all. I wish I had a large enough dining table to house something like that all year! What I don't like is having "Painting the roses red" on repeat in my head, but that's just me 🤪
You did an awesome job with making the wood look. You actually could have made a paint wash for the flowers, with black acrylic paint and water. You make enough mix in a tub/bin/container and put the flowers in. They will soak up the colours and when they are the colour you like just dump them out and dry them. It might take a few goes to get it the desired colour but it works kinda like dying. It of course only works on fabric fake flowers 😂 I love this, it's definitely creepy haunted house vibing. Prefect for the Monsters or of course like someone else said The Addams family 😊 It's awesome great job, thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much. I only thought of making a paint dip for the ivy leaves and flowers after I'd already spent ages painting it, but I'll definitely do that next time!
I love the gothic aged natural decay look, amazing with the cute candle lights in it. Always great to save something from landfill. Is that clay waterproof once it has dried?
Wow,Ms Mary,it turned out superb and so Halloweeny 😍💀🕷👻🎃.Really what an amazing idea to transform a throwaway piece into such a beautiful piece of art😍💜💜
Absolutely stunningly gorgeous Mary. What a fantastic upcycling project. Thank you so kindly for sharing your wonderful talent and videos with us all ❤Take great care and keep creating and smiling ❤
Thank you so much for rescueing that light fitting, I'm horrified by what people throw out, I hate waste. I love what you have created from something that could have ended up in land fill it looks fantastic .❤
Thanks Catherine. I couldn't believe it had been thrown out when it was in perfect condition. If it hadn't been rained on for long it could still have functioned as an electric light, but so much water was pouring out of every part that I really didn't want to risk it so I just cut the wires. I think it works great with candles/fake candles so I'm happy :)
Wow! Such a creative approach to repurposing a disposed item! Love it so much!! As you were spinning it; it actually gave me an idea if I were to find anything like it. LOVE how this turned out! ❤
