_’You’ll always be alone’._ Someone compared these words with Lois’ In ‘Pandora’ _’You’re not alone’._ However it’s two *different* situations. In ‘Pandora’ Clois *became closer* after Lois’ coming back when previously she had disappeared. In season three when Martha lost her baby Clark not only had guilty for his parents but also his guilty for his girlfriend’s dead mom and dad became stronger. So he *distanced himself* from Lana. That’s why she *had to* manipulate him. _’You’ll always be alone’,_ _’You always have a choice’._ This reminds me the end of season nine when there was a threat to Clois’ relationship, so Lois *had to* manipulate Clark too. Firstly, she told him she had rejected a good job in Africa *for him,* then insisted him to tell her his secret. So both these girls are *equal* in *equal* situations.
Somehow this scene tells me that Lana could have changed the course of their relationship by just realizing the depth of Clark’s pain. If she had, I think things could have turned out better. Again, damn writers.
