Clara-Jumi Kang: Beethoven, Violin Concerto in D major, Op. 61 

We are told the name of the violinist and the name of the orchestra but we not told the name of the conductor. Careless and crude.

Clara is the best violinist for this Beethoven Violin Concerto, in D major, no doubt about it.

Clara, thank you for the joy your playing brings to me.

Her performance is deepened. Her delicacy and sincerity in finding something precious in this difficult times is beautiful.

Thank you so much for this video, CJK. This was a truly outstanding performance. Among other remarkable things, Ms. Kang captured the soft undulating tones and vibrato so tenderly like a mother calming her baby with whispers and coos. It's also notable that Ms. Kang is traveling internationally to perform at this time, in the midst of the pandemic. I hope she stays safe. As much as I love and look forward to Ms. Kang's brand new performances, I could do without them if they place her health at any significant risk. But I also understand that this may not be practicable. Again thank you so much, CJK, for sharing another wonderful performance by the one and only Ms. Clara-Jumi Kang.

36:50 I love how every soloist and orchestra does this slightly differently. This one felt like CJK was riding a swell on the ocean that was the orchestra, riding up and down. I really liked it.

매번 다른 베토벤이 나와서 흥미롭다. 다채롭다. 음악적 의도인지, 한 인간으로서의 변모가 담기는건지.. 삑사리 한 둘쯤도 이젠 캐릭터화되어 그 안의 조미료같은 느낌. 아… 정형화된 베토벤이 아니게 듣기도 하는 내 귀가 얼마나 호강하는 시간인지 몰라 주미야. 늘 감사하게 듣는다:)
