Clark Kent becomes Superman
Film discription: The numerous miraculous rescues by the local wonder boy Clark have aroused suspicions amongst colonials of Smallville. Interestingly, the boy has managed to downplay his acts of various heroic egresses in the past. They say he's either too fast or has a penchant for finding trouble. He was found by Martha and Jonathan Kent on the day of the Meteor Shower, and subsequently adopted. Clark's friend Lex Luthor, the only heir of Luthorcorp, has been secretly investigating grounds for Clark's outlandish valor. However, on the face of it, Clark just seems a normal boy who's slightly more secretive than usual.

Gray Fox he is thought not to be rude but if you don’t get that then you seriously don’t get Superman. Sure biologically he’s not human but mentally he was raised on earth he’s more human then any human is that’s what makes him so compelling he’s an alien who’s more human then any of us he reprints the best of us he gives people hope, he helps humans to be better because he himself is more human then almost anyone else could hope to be.

As someone that watched from 2001-2011, I can say that this moment was very satisfying. The luster did wear off after a while and then it set in that we never really saw Tom Welling’s Clark Kent in the suit but it was still satisfying and did keep in line with the “no tights, no flights” policy. Hearing Jor-El tell Clark that his trials in Smallville made him who he was and then having Jonathan Kent’s Force ghost (lol) hand the new suit to Clark gave me chills. It’s a very important and beautiful moment considering the dynamic between Jor-El and Jonathan Kent.

Just finished re-watching the series and this moment still holds up. Yes there's a lot of filler in there, but by the time you get here it's such a satisfying moment for sure. I really do wish we got like something with Tom in the suit for like 1 episode at least though, just a nice sendoff.

THIS is how you do a superhero origin story. The actor was a good pick to take on the role of Clark Kent, the one who would become Superman. They introduced the characters who would become staples later down the line, had Clark both discover and master his various superpowers, and concluded the entire series with him donning the suit and performing his first heroic act as Superman.

It was lame. I love the show. But maybe it should have stuck to young Clark and finished way earlier. Id rather have that than have a long drawn out series where he doesn't even put the suit on but is mostly CGI cause of a stupid rule. Also the no flying rule was f*cking dumb. We never get this much detail and story telling when it comes to show nowadays. This show was truly a treasure; through the cheesy parts to the parts that made you get excited to the silliness at times.... but oh so to the joy they gave us. The actors was cast so true to the intent of the entire show and all the subtle references to superman; when he was given the red cape and hung it on the fence. I hope they never get tired of hearing thank you and what a hell of a job they did....

What goes around comes around like my grandparents taught me Diane was her name pure evil threw us out to loot my grandparents house. Diane croaked in 2017 got some of my grandparents property back and I was able to sell the land her house was on. I now run my own sports memorabilia business

My God Smallville is such a delightful series that I would love to watch again and again...It got so much awesome memories and specially the endings in first four seasons a.k.a. high school days when they used to end the episode with a romantic song and damm the finale was so awesome that for this special moment they carried the entire story for Ten years and damm No one can ever take the place of Smallville because It sets a level for the CW and yeah Arrow, The Flash, SuperGirl, DC legends of Tomorrow etc they all are good but still can’t match the level of Smallville

I was in high school when Smallville started I watched every episode of it and grew up with the characters. Seeing Tom finally wear the suit brings tears in my eyes it tells me I have come of age as well

I sort of stayed with this show during its entire run using VHS time shifts to skim through many bad episodes towards the end especially. It turned out to be more of an evening soap opera for a certain demographic than being about real Superman at all. It wasn't just that it departed from canon which was a given but that it kept on crapping over its OWN internal canon repeatedly as the revolving door of writers went around.

OMFG... My personal favorite scene from the whole series besides in the S4 scene when he flies away, when they burnt the S in his chest, when he fought Bizzaro, rhe scene where Black Canary, Aquaman, and Green Arrow tries to look for him under the ice, when Bloom died, when Kara tried to teach him to fly and when he fought alongside Aquaman, Cyborg, Impulse and Green Arrow.. this show is very memorable...

We were cheated. We waited a long time to see Clark complete his journey to become Superman to…. not get Superman. Tom should have budged on the suit. He got to tell his story of Clark Kent; a whole ten years worth. 1 episode of him wearing the full suit wouldn’t have typecast him into the role, especially with how long we had to wait to *not* get the pay-off we deserved.

All i wld like 2 say is Tom Welling... You made Clark Kent look like the most absolute best non-animated character EVER you pulled that role off so well i truly believe that you really are Clark himself. The way i see it i think you're as equal as Stan Lee because both of you left an awesome memorable mark on the world 4 us fans 2 enjoy 4 the rest of our lives. And even though Stan passed away yesterday his legacy will live on as will yours as the actor who played the boy who became a man who then became Superman. I hope U have a nice life Tom N i can't wait 2 watch yr Smallville episodes again with my girlfriend.

Kal El is so awesome. Often imitated but never duplicated. He is just so iconic when you think of a super hero. We are lucky they were wise enough to give him the weakness to kryptonite. It stops him from being boring and makes him have interesting stories where he can't get out of every situation.

My friends didn't like this show because they are waiting for the 'Superman' part, and it was hard telling them that this is how Superman came to be,this show is about how Clark Kent became Superman with many more details.........But the ending made me the happiest man Tom Welling (my favourite Superman)

Tom refused to don the suit from day one for fear of being typecast. Midway through the series he virtually sealed the deal by becoming a producer. I held out hope flying was being saved for the final season, but it soon became obvious the cape would either come out only in the very last episode or not at all. Bitter as the taste of denial turned out to be, Tom did at least achieve his goal, for it occurs to me only now that I never did - and still don't - regard him as Superman. Ironically and amazingly, however, while he was able to dodge the stigma of the cape, he somehow overlooked that of the wholesome and awkward farm boy with thick-rimmed spectacles, careful hair and inexorable link to a ball-busting brunette with initials L.L. In Smallville, suit or no suit, Tom Welling wasn't Superman at all; he was the guy who played Clark Kent.

In other Superman media they always have a younger actor playing young Clark, even in The Movie young Clark was not played by Christopher Reeve, Smallville couldn't do it because Tom Welling was a 25 year old playing a 15 year old when it first started and 30 plus year old playing a 20 plus year old when it ended.
