By the time he actually became superman he had already killed or defeated almost all of his major adversaries...Doomsday, Zod, Darkseid, Brainiac, Bizarro...I mean who the fuck would have been left to fight besides Luthor.
Mongul, Lobo, Atomic Skull, Prankster, Eradicator, Metallo is still alive, Bizarro can always be recreated, Zod is still alive and in the Phantom Zone so he can come back at anytime, Doomsday was never destroyed just buried underneath the Earth, etc. The only villain her really defeated on the show was Brainiac.
I thought ol boy looked familiar! I'm looking at him and I'm like "I think I've seen this dude before. Where have I seen him before?". Then it hit me that it was James Marsters from Buffy. It took me a second to put two and two together because I didn't recognize him without the bleached hair.
This show was supposed to be about Clark's life BEFORE becoming Superman. But he was basically already Superman without the suit. Basically this show is saying he already beat General Zod, Bizarro, Doomsday, Brainiac, etc. before becoming Superman. That's the problem I had with Smallville
Braniac was the only one that was actually defeated, Doomsday is trapped under a lot of ground and could find his way out eventually, Zod is in the Phantom Zone and could also find his way out in time , Clark just flew through Darkseid, he and his planet still exist, and the version of Bizarro seen in the show wasn't like the comic book version at all and was never actually called Bizarro, so it can be assumed the classic version will show up later.
You probably would have seen Clark wearing the suit, being called Superman, and maybe even flying in earlier seasons. However, Tom Welling refused to do it, even for the finale.
So... ol' Supes there finds Brainiac because he was absorbing so much electricity, arrives to find him still absorbing electricity, and then kills him by electrocution. It's that last part I'm having trouble with.
Braniac was controlling the flow of the electricity, clark overwhelmed braniac with electricity to the point that it fried him like a computer when it receives a surge of power it fries
Yeah… Kind of like when he finally destroyed the Smallville version of Bizaro. Or I mean Lana LOL. She put the blue kryptonite in his hand and it was overwhelming for him. It was good power and exactly what he needed it was just way too much of what he needed so his body couldn’t handle it
Someone should just make a video that starts with one of the times Clark says "I'm not a murderer!" and then show every single time that he either kills somebody, drives them to commit suicide, or lets them die right in front of him. It would take a while.
Found this clip after reading an issue from the silver age, wherin Brainiac has his first death. Pretty similar actually, except it's Kandorians that do it instead of Clark. They use the same logic though. "We're NOT killing you, Brainiac. You aren't a living man! We're merely taking you apart." Like in Smallville, though, his "death" was short-lasting.
Brainiac is the villain super powerfull more important in Smallville. He appear Majin Boo,hard kill him.He is a machine and not a be human,so Clark can kill him.
You're right, turkeypue. Clark may have killed THIS Brainiac. But it doesn't mean that he's gone for good. The thing about Brainiac, he can always leave a part of himself behind in order to survive. Poor Chloe, it has to be her that Brainiac has to possess. Can't wait for the next episode Legion.
I hate how brainiac tells him exactly how to free his friends, banking on the fact he wouldn’t do it. For a type 12 Intelligence or whatever that was pretty dumb
If Brainiac could still cause serious harm to countless others in the form of a puppy, then yes he would. Ever hear of the scene from the movie "Old Yellar" where the boy has to "put down" his rabid dog?
WHAT? James Marsters was NOT in Scooby Doo! He was Spike in Buffy The Vampire Slayer/Angel, Barnabas Greeley in Caprica, Victor Hesse in Hawaii 5-0, Captain John Hart in Torchwood, Detective Grant Mars in Without A Trace, Piccolo in Dragonball: Revolution and John in P.S I Love You... not to mention a bunch of other awesome TV shows and movies! He also has a few albums out with his band Ghost Of The Robot and solo.
so wait a minute here. In season 8 chloe gets taken over by braniac because put some of himself in her which gave her the intelligence... so who's to say he did not do the same to lana and now she is super powered and has enough kryptonite absorbed to pretty much own clark.
now speaking of clarks casual i need to prevent something speed, he goes as fast as he needs to but we all know, just like human emotion, clark shares that emotion even being kryptonian and when hes angry or has something set in his mind his capabilities are endless. its superman lol or atleast here, the younger version. with this speed clark could run around the world and back to his position before anyone noticed him move
They are human just mutated…… They’re from earth with human parents, pretty conclusive. Clark isn’t but his psychology is human because he was raised with humans like a lion cub raised around puppies believes he’s a puppy
to clear this up with the debate over clarks speed. one guy was correct, this is showing sub light speed capability, so roughly around 93,000 miles per second. butt that just means he is ***atleast*** going that speed. but because the electricity had stopped proves that he is going fast enough but doesnt mean just strictly half light speed. because its frozen its possible that he was going 110,000 to 150,000 or even full light speed at 187,000 miles per second. its undetermined.
I know, I just don't think it's right for a superhero. I mean, he has a lot of people's lifes in his hands... But he's still young here anyway, maybe he'll change in the comics
Machines are alive if they have consciousness. I study biochemistry, I know what you are every little atom built up to make you. The human body is very much like a machine. Consciousness = life. You don't get to say case closed.
well the writers were allowed to write the show as they saw it rather than following the comics which is probably why his morals have holes as you put it
man or machine, he still had conscious, therefore he's alive... does that mean he would kill a puppy if he had to, because it's not a man? 'cause that's what it sounds, not that i think clark would kill one that's why i can't take clark seriously, some of his morals are full of holes
does supermen even defeats any of his enemies by fighting in this series its like here he kills him with electric energy they others he out smartest them that's batman department not superman
"time to go back to college, mr atheist.." Is that another personal attack? You are not making any arguments you are just arrogantly claiming you are right and everyone else is wrong. All you have done is accuse me by claiming I think I know everything this does nothing to support your argument "if you imagine determinism is truth then i have no interest in talking to you." So basically you can't counter my points. Arrogance blocks people from learning, if you walk away your just dogmatic.
"You're not a man, you're a machine!" Great, Clark. You just justified killing any non-organic life-form. Bravo. Now anyone can attack Brainiac 5, The Thing, or that one living planet without feeling bad about it. Bravo.
You made an ad hominem attack, a fallacy. Im giving you knoweldge, this comment is directed at you, im not trying to make out I know everything. Ever studied philosophy? something called determinism? Our bodies follow "programs" negative feedback, positive feedback, there are alot of subconscious mechanisms in the body, you could say programs. At the moment machines are not alive but if one developed a consciousness it would be. These facts over power your personal dislike for the truth.
