Clark should use holograms of Metallo and Zod next time

As much as I want Jordan out there being his own hero, Clark is somewhat right, he is teaching him everything he needs to know but can’t learn the lessons that require experience in the field. Plus this sim is nothing like the real deal, no way Bizarro would go down that easy.

Even though bizarro hologram isn't as strong he still faced atomic skull that isn't easy due to him facing two super-powered foes

@@jaimeruiz9613 I think the true lesson would be to save the villains too. I mean, Superman has some very high moral standards on this show. Superman would rather see the bad guy behind bars. It's more than just a fight.

In real life we parents try to teach our children how to protect themselves yet they see it as interference and lack of trust. We try to explain but they don’t listen. It has been this way for the beginning of time and will always be.

Clark is right here. He is just trying to keep Jordan safe. The lasers were a little mean, but that could happen during a mission. What if Jordan experiences pain during a fight. How will Jordan react? In anger or will he be able to concentrate. Also, a fight is different from saving people. Will Jordan take the offense or will he use his abilities defensively? Does Jordan even have Clark's no kill policy? Powers is one thing, but what makes Superman a hero is his kindness, his love for people, his belief that everyone deserves another chance, and that everyone has a right to be saved. Clark is also a very protective Dad. Jordan is lucky he has a father who cares about him. I know, I know. Jordan is excited. I am too, but Clark has a right to protect his family.

Almost no MCU heroes believe that everyone deserves a second chance. Probably because they don't see the world through rose-colored glasses.

I'm suddenly reminded of the show Tsukimichi, the main character at one point tells his students something along the lines of "Make an honest attempt on my life, exhaust yourselves, dont stop fighting until you are physically unable to continue" on the basis that he wanted to know their true limits, but also because the *students* needed to experience what it felt like to reach those limits What I mean to say is, Clark should tell Jordan to just come at him full force with everything he's got, just to see how much he has
@daniels7907
@daniels7907 Год назад
Clark's nerves are frayed and it's showing. He himself wasn't anywhere near Jordan's level at 16. He hadn't even erected the Fortress or met Jor-El yet! He has trouble coping with Lois's cancer and it shows in the sloppy way that he walked right into onomatopoeia's trap later on. If he followed the same rules he's pushing on Jordan then he wouldn't have been nearly killed by people moving at normal speed.
@rupaynofidel3761
@rupaynofidel3761 Год назад
Clark had no help though, he had to teach himself even when he didn’t know everything about his origin. Jordan has massive support, Especially With Superman being his Dad
@daniels7907
@daniels7907 Год назад
@@rupaynofidel3761 - No he didn't. Most of what Clark knows was taught to him by Jor-El. When he was Jordan's age he was just busting local thieves, not fighting supervillains! He didn't even know how to fly until he was an adult! Meanwhile, he's neglecting a lot of things. For example, he has no idea what the limits of Jordan's powers are because he has never tested them. He just has him playing holographic versions of the video games Jordan has always played.
@louism3643
@louism3643 Год назад
@@daniels7907 I guess the idea here is that Clark is the father here, not Jonathan Kent or Jor-El. Clark is deciding how to protect his sons. I think those ideas interfere with Clark's decisions. If Jordan was just some kid who was part Kryptonian, maybe Clark would be different. But Jordan is his kid. Parents do crazy things to protect their children. Clark actually cares about Jordan. Jordan isn't a science experiment. "Let's see what he can do and experiment." I don't think so. Clark gets excited for sure, but I think he worries too. On this show, Lois and Superman lost a child. Lois had a miscarriage. He's already lost a child. This show really cements Clark/Superman as a father and husband. He's a father first. What makes Superman amazing is that he was raised by the Kents. The Kents, who were kind humans who loved him and took care of him.
@daniels7907
@daniels7907 Год назад
@@louism3643 - The problem with everything that you just wrote is that Clark is *NOT* the parent of the various supervillains who are now a regular part of his childrens' lives. They show up at the Kent farm without Clark's permission. Clark himself has needed to have his own life saved multiple times by Jonathan and Jordan already! Please let me repeat that: Clark would be *DEAD* right now if it weren't for the boys! So, just because he's a father doesn't mean that he gets a free pass for being lazy and irresponsible. His children's *lives* are at stake here, entirely because of Clark and Lois.
@louism3643
@louism3643 Год назад
@@daniels7907 I can see where you are coming from. And you have a right to your own opinion. I think it's why the show works. We can all see different things from different perspectives. We are given ample opportunities to see the The Kents, John and Natalie, and the Cushings from various pov. IMO, Clark is doing the best he can. He was taught to blend in. IMO, Clark is protecting his family, because he wants to. He's not being lazy. And he's not being irresponsible. Jordan is being trained. Yes, there have been villains, but Clark's fatherly instincts are going to lash out. Father's can love and take care of their children and still make mistakes or be overly protective. Jordan knows it's out of love. It's part of why he's so vocal, imo. I too can switch my pov and I do this all the time because, really, it's a GOOD show. If I were Jordan, I would want to have a mission in life. I would want to help people and save people. Jordan can feel it. He knows what he can do. Jordan can feel how powerful he is. If I had those feelings, I too would want to do something. Help people, Save people. And, all of this time, all of his feelings growing up had a reason. Finally. Jordan has been hurt by Tal, Bizzaro-Jon, Zeta-Ro....but now he knows that that can never happen again. IMO, Clark and Jordan just need to come up with code, just like Dexter....don't get caught, don't hurt an innocent....set up some ground rules, make sure targets have evaded the justice system, blend in, don't make things personal because it can cloud judgement....

Yeah, and Clark often makes the exact mistakes he's criticizing Jordan for. As an example, in this episode he walked right into a trap and even though Onomatopoeia literally stood there mocking him by imitating Lois's voice for a few seconds (and Clark already knowing that she has that ability) he just stood there staring at her like an idiot and gave her the chance to blast him. So Jordan had to come save him. Just like John Henry Irons has on more than one occasion.
@jaimeruiz9613

The thing with Jordan and Clark is that while clark has more experience how is jordan suppose to learn if he doesn't try because jordan is already more powerful than clark was at his age
@daniels7907
@daniels7907 11 месяцев назад
@@jaimeruiz9613 - True, and Clark isn't handling the situation with Jordan's different development very well. Like when Jordan's x-ray vision finally kicked in, Clark just stood there staring like an idiot while Jonathan handled calming Jordan down. It's a pity there is no Batman on this Earth anymore. Clark could use some lessons on how to take best advantage of having a sidekick.

@daniels7907 not only that jordan is flying as a teenager while clark didn't start flying until he was an adult
@daniels7907
@daniels7907 11 месяцев назад
@@jaimeruiz9613 - You would think that Clark and Lois would have spent the boys' entire childhoods preparing in case one or both of them manifested Kryptonian powers. Instead, it's like they've been dealing with each of Jordan's powers individually as they come in. While Jordan started very late, his powers have matured very quickly. Really, by the beginning of S2 Clark should have expected that he didn't have much time. Zeta-Rho told him right to his face in S1 that Jordan had "the untapped power of Kryptonian". Which was why Zeta-Rho wanted Jordan's body for himself, instead of some human charged up on X-K.

@louism3643

Probably, which is why I hope the writers are working on keeping the story solid. I've seen powered up characters on other shows where the writers seemed like they've cornered themselves. Also, is there a budget for this? This is still a TV show. I'm willing to see Jordan progress slowly as long as the writing is good. If Jordan progresses too fast, I'm worried that the budget won't be there. I just want a good show with good writing. Great powers does not equal an awesome show. Sometimes silly things happen to power down characters. (I've seen this on other shows) . The actors are doing a great job though. As long as the writing is good....but sadly, I don't know how much longer the show will go on.

@superrenai9338 2 месяца назад
Not sure if you mean it like these, but if you’re asking if people would rather be a villain or hero (like superman & supergirl) I would go for hero, cause I believe we all start and can be heroes by doing good things, or helping those who are in need of hep. . Life can only be bad / dark sometimes and with enough bad / dark experiences we eventually can become bad, a villain.

To be a hero powers stretch it all super powers are not really real and things in movies and real world work the Same this no video game it's life one mistake you or innocent people die you have risks to everything it's your one mistake you can change what happens if you go out a try to help people to keep them and yourself safe you have to not know who you are and it's a lonely life and letting people in puts them and those they care about you should understand you have to live like you don't exist and none can know who you are your personal and other activities are not something non can care for they care you crazy and you will be dead or in prison or cops will hunt for you especially when they know your identity I should know though I have not done anything in the light but I have helped people over time who were in trouble and it's dangerous I know I have to be alone can't have real life because I don't want anyone to be hurt for my actions though foe doesn't know who I am it comes with a lonely or regrate for you actions who others pay for
