Hi Ben - nice video. I know I’m a little late to commenting on this but I’m hoping to add a little depth and context here. It’s almost impossible to compare these two bottles - and I’m not even talking prices here: the CA is made from Cenizo, a bit of a less common agave (maguey) from Durango, and the Casamigos is espadin. Espadin is basicallly your entry level agave for mezcal, although some can be amazing and complex in the hands of a maestro. The big kicker with these bottles is that they are hyper industrialized and regardless of packaging, they don’t honor the heritage or story of the people that made the juice inside the bottle. The master (maestro/a) mezcalero/a’s are the most important thing to learn about - second are importer brands you can trust that give fair payment back to the producers and honor the heritage and land. Some great brands to follow are Rey Campero, Rezpiral, Neta, Cinco Sentidos, Real Minero, Lalocura, Cuish, La Luna, Pal’Alma, Mezonte and Vago. There are so many more. Start with a few bottles of different espadins (or espadin capon) and go from there. Make sure to try some different magueys like Tepextate, Arroqueno, Tobala, Mexicano, Tobaziche, Coyote, and Jabali. If the bottle lists the name of the producer, where it’s made and how it’s made it’s probably a good sign. Salud!
