Change your fuel ratio. 50:1. You will get more speed out of both.

The red baja seems a bit off. Been trying to tune as we go. Everyone seems to think it's running rich, but it sounds a bit lean to me. I don't think I have the ear for it yet.

@@BMPowered ok..if speed is what ur looking for so get the 36cc rovan single ring engine..much faster..the 45 cc is low on rpm..about 16.500..and the 36cc is about 19.500 rpm..the baja should b much faster..about 60 mph..the 45cc works well only with the bartalone pipe..300$..

@@BMPowered next time u buy a baja 5b get the 36 cc directly from "chi gift" company..they sell to dan from rovan..u will get it cheap as hell!!! About 400$ even less..same shit less money bro..im jewish ask me anything about money..hihi..

@@BMPowered on that richness issue, I haven't got it exactly right on my 45 no matter what I do, it definately was burbling rich sounding, as soon as I leaned it slightly it ran hot and started to sag. So, be careful when leaning it! I just decided to let it stay a little rich, any time a monster truck can run with track ready, full race vektas, that's pretty cool!

It's not bad, just no range. I've heard people say it's just the receiver that's the issue. I would get the Dumbo RC rx/tx (amzn.to/3qCYNzU). It has a way better range and it's cheap.

your gearing is way too low for that engine, Rovan offers much higher gear ratios. I put Redcat 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 inch rampage monster truck tires ( 2 1/2 lbs. each!) on back of my 36cc baja with stock 17/57 gears. Thats a HUGE jump over stock gearing at the wheels and it pulls it! I also own that 45cc engine, I consider it to be a lower rpm, but really torquey motor which is why I put it in exceed hannnibal (similar to Rampage), pulling 10 1/2 lbs. of tires !), way increased the gearing ( 25/35 to 29/31) and it almost kept up with a very tall geared vekta! My 36 baja ran away from the vekta every time. Yor 45 bajas would be nuts with the 23/52 combo! You'd own the straights. OR- the 2 speed tranny! OR the 3 speed once its's back in stock! My field was entirely electric before I showed up 8 weeks ago, and everyone went nuts over the baja, 4 people just bought King bajas in the last 2 weeks, just the start too I'm sure! It' going to be baja madness out here. And I just bought the last remaining 29Q shorty baja from rovan.

We did upgrade the gears....can't recall the ration right now, but it did pick up 5 mph....so not bad. Maybe one day we will make a street Baja and throw a 2 speed in it :)

@@BMPowered Excellent! Finishing up putting 2 speed in a baja "shorty" right now, will run it tomorrow. 17/57, 20/55 , should be interesting.
