Motors are similar and the GTO VVVF controller onboard is also similar. Theyre both by GEC Alsthom/Metro Cammel but don't share the exact same components.
It sounds a lot like the S-1 Subway Cars (Innovia Metro MK 1) used on The Toronto Subway's Line 3, a weird Medium-weight Subway thing that no one uses, it was supposed to be autonomous but the TTC wanted to save jobs, so they crammed a little cab into the front of it
@@cam43002 you have to be joking. These use GTO VVVF drives. 323s use GTO Thyristor drives which is not too disimilar to the old GTO Thyristor drives used in 454/0s and /1s but still totally different sounding to 323s.
NERD MOMENT BE AWARE Plans were drawn up in 2007 to improve the reliability of the BREL and ABB units. (Class 465/0 & /1's) By the installation of the new traction equipment. The new package was developed by Hitachi Rail. It was retrofitted all across 97 Class 465 /0 & /1 trains over the course of 2009/2010. The supplier/manufacturer of the original traction equipment, worked as a consulants to assist in the retro-fitting the new equipment. I'm not a nerd thank you very much
Should sound exactly the same in Dovetail Games Train Sim World 2 because these trains actually passed through Chatham railway station from London Charing Cross. That's how Dovetail games was actually able to capture their motor sounds.

@@MS46532 365s belong to great northern and I believe scotrail, 465s belong to southeastern Yet they both have same motor (well on 465/9s and 2s and 466s) but I think it would be cool if they was on the same company
@@MS46532 Actually, it's because the 365s, 465/2/9s and 466s all use GTO inverters to modulate the power to the motors. The 365s sound different because they use rectifiers to convert the AC overhead power to DC for use with the auxiliary systems.
375s are used on the mainline longer distance routes which miss out a lot of the stations closer to London that are served by the metro routes which use the 465/376/707
Today I was getting on a 261 bus at Lee but then a 465 was departing and it sounded like any other 465 but after a while it made an odd sound. The sound was kind of like a 319 so can anyone explain why it made that sound
