My favorite player of all time. In 2009 and 2010 he played like a man possessed..and without him Green Bay would have never made the playoffs let alone win the superbowl. He is the man, pure and simple. We will never see another like him.
IF YOU DIDN’T CRY....... IF YOU DID NOT CRY..... SHAME ON YOU ! THE GREATEST CORNER EVER ! I’m TALKING COMPLETE CORNER ! Tackle ! Interceptions ! TD’$ ! Punt return ! All Around ! CONGRATS # 24 ! I’M CRYIN’ WIT’CHA CHARLIE !
Even while he was playing with the RAIDERS we knew he was a HALL OF FAMER…..he was a hell of a player with the packers but I know he loved being a RAIDER more than anything
@@lumbatzi Yes, he was a key part of winning Aaron Rodgers he’s first and only ring. He became a champion and then came back home to the Raiders, were he belongs.
I agree bro and he had a great career and another thing I discovered about him was that I didn't realize he was the only defensive player to win a heisman trophy and that was unbelievable cause they usually don't give those players those type of awards unless they are a QB, WR, or RB.
From HS to UM to the Pros...probably the baddest man I ever saw play. I remember his 1st interception at Michigan as a true freshman and I knew I was witnessing greatness.
Packers fan here, we absolutely loved you in Green Bay. You're the best I have ever seen at your position. Thanks for the memories and for all you did for the game Charles Woodson.
Charles Woodson y'all! 65 interceptions 20 sacks 13 TDs 9 time probowl 3 time all-pro Defensive player of the year! SUPER BOWL CHAMP! AND A RAAAAAAAIDER!! (a packer too!) But a RAAAAAAAIDER! CONGRATULATION Mr Woodson! A well deserved induction! HE EARNED IT!
As a Packer fan, I always say that I'm happy that GB were able to borrow Charles Woodson from the Raiders for a few years. What a player. 100% deserved.
As a long time Raiders fan I am so happy to see Charles headed to Canton. A great player, a great family man and a great guy. Thank you Charles for all you've accomplished and I wouldn't be surprised to see your sons playing in the NFL one day.
I am watching this because I love feel good stories, even though I know nothing about football. With that being said, there is something about this gentleman that simply touches you. You know how you can meet a stranger and instantly tell that they are a great person? It's like they radiate something special. This gentleman is one of those people.😊
CW...you got me crying! As a young high school kid watching you at Michigan you inspired me to be great and make big time plays in big time games. Bringing our beloved U of M our 1st National Championship in 50 years and the Heisman were only a spring board for your great career in the NFL. Well earned & Well done Charles! Congratulations to you and your family! 💛💙〽️ #GoBlue
His speech after the nfc championship game against the bears is In my top 3 favorite speeches. Thank you Charles. For everything you done for the game. As a packer, and as a raider ❤️
Packers fan here and this selection is TOTALLY deserved. This man gave it his all from the age of seven. All the sacrifice, blood, sweat, tears, and pain and the people that cared enough to keep you on the path to greatness that allows you to earn your place among a special part of as now 328 players that are in the HALL make what you have done amazing. Congratulations, Charles.
1997 Heisman Trophy Winner 🏆 The only Defensive player to win the Heisman Trophy. Defensive Back Charles Woodson. Drafted 4th. Overall in the 1st. Round by the late Al Davis and The Oakland Raiders. He was 1998 Defensive Rookie Of The Year. 2009 Defensive Player Of The Year. 2010 Super Bowl Champion. 2020 Hall Of Fame Inductee. The Raiders Nation 💕 U Mr. Charles Woodson.
Life long Raiders fan, same age as Charles. Thank you for all the Sunday's. He was superman in cleats(before the turf toe and lower leg injury) and by his 3rd game in this league he was treated like the great DBs. Qb's stayed away.
Charles is what a Hall of Fame player is all about. A true game Changer. When Charles takes the stage for his speech the most appropriate song to play would be I did it my way by Frank Sinatra . A great player but even a better Person. Wishing all of the Woodson's Family and friends Happiness, prosperity, and Good Health. Last but not least I'm glad his Mother Georgia was there to share that special moment with her son. God Bless Her She did an amazing job as a Mother
As a Green Bay packer fan I understand you didn't want to come here and I get that but your legend wouldn't be the same had you not and Packer history wouldn't be the same without you. Glad to see you getting what you deserved and a belated congratulations.
Charles Woodson has a perfect football career: Rose Bowl, National Champion, Drafted in the top 10 NFL, NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year, NFL Defensive Player of the Year, Super Bowl Champion and now Pro Football Hall of Fame. The other person that accomplished this is on offense: Peyton manning.
Charles Woodson has had the PERFECT football career. Even more perfect than Tom Brady. Let me explain. National Champion: Check Rose Bowl Victory: Check Heisman: Check Drafted into NFL: Check Pro Bowl Selection: Check Super Bowl Win: Check And now, Hall of Fame: Check
Charles Woodson would start on my hall of fame team. One of the all time greats. Lot of memories from watching him making big plays at Michigan, Oakland and Green Bay
When Wood said 'I tried to tell myself when this moment came i wouldn't cry' I was like 'Im not going to cry either Wood' Soon as he said 'I feel like putting on my shoes and just going for a run' it finally hit him, I started to tear up But when he said 'This is unbelievable' I felt that, tears started flowing like a baby. Charles Woodson is so humble there's no way any NFL player or fan can't respect this man. For everything he accomplished throughout his career and be able to keep his ego in check, is unbelievable. He's a class act, a legend and now a HOF. Congratulations to the greatest CB of all time, #24 Raiders #21 Packers. Heisman, DPOY, SB champ.
That's so great having his mom, wife and kids there. I hope he got to go for his run after the cameras left. I was at an Indiana Pacers game when they announced he won the Heisman. I thought "wow, a defensive player beat out Peyton Manning. I wonder who will have a better pro career." And then they both go into the HOF class of '21 : ) Congrats Charles
The two woodsons are the greatest all around DBs of all time. Even tho Lott was all pro at two positions as well, Lott was more of a safety way longer.
