I didn't realize that plate came off to expose the gears. My 76 is 11 years old and the included tube of grease is still un-opened. I'm greasing it up today. Thanks. Yes the camera aim got off a bit but I got to see all I needed to. Thanks again.
Very helpful video. Wow. I would never have figured that out without this. What did I do before RU-vid ? Oh I know I would replace my 76 unit every few years. Really nice job. Thanks
Is that a new pare of ciphers you are using for this video? I asked because I have a brand new pare of Oster Classic 76 clippers and when I took the faceplate of the clippers it had them same two brown circle marks on the faceplate. Just wonder if my new clippers are really new or did the store sell me used/refurbished clippers.
My clipper had 2 washers on the inside I had them serviced before and was wondering if maybe they didn’t notice one being stuck and put another one in. How many washer are supposed to be in there?
Just bought a silver limited 76. During first use, about 10 minutes, the mid section heated up pretty bad. My 76 does not have that ball bearing on the side. How would I lubricate that mid-section?
I used my Oster Classic 76 clippers for the first time and they got hot in 5 minutes. The blade DID NOT get hot. What got hot was the area where you hold the clippers. Anyone know what could be wrong with them? Remember these are new clippers fresh out the box that I used for the first time. I did open them up to check and make sure there was lubrication inside the clipper and it was. So should I return these clippers or is this common? Or is there something I can do to stop them from getting hot within 5 minutes of use?
DJ Takin' It Back I have a limited edition classic 76. It also over heats but it has always operated efficiently for 3 yrs. I plan on greasing it soon and see what happens.
