The guys from CAL knocking out another awesome night of Zeppelin tunes. The 1st half of the show featured the album Houses of the Holy, but this track was from the 2nd half where they do a bunch of other hits from the same band featured earlier.
This show was on March 21, 2024, in Richmond Hill, north of Toronto, at a nice little theatre.
Classic Albums Live isn’t really a cover band in my opinion. It’s not a single band covering a particular group, but a large group of skilled musicians who learn to replicate numerous artists. Each show often has different people playing from show to show while others are presumably practicing or playing in other shows elsewhere, covering a different group/album. The members playing any particular show change from show to show and although the are covering a band, they aren’t doing it in their own style, they are trying to replicate the original tunes as accurately as possible, including the singer. Nick Walsh in this video typically does all the Zeppelin shows and surprisingly does Bowie extremely well also, but if the group was doing Supertramp or Prince or Billy Joel, there would be different singers who would sound very much like those artists.
Anyhow, I hope you enjoy the videos as much as I enjoyed the show.
